Visit Date 8/10/2019- FOOD- I had the Scallops -and came with Fries and a corn mixed with black beans and tomatoes. Instead of the fries I had a salad. The Scallops was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The corn mixed had a good flavor. The waiter did not tell me that I was not allowed to substitute the fries for a side salad, she just told me it would be a little more, which I did realize it was FULL price (btw is TWO different things)!! She should have made that clear!! The services was really slow that night. I had to ask the waiter lot 3 times for almost everything (straws, refills and the Togo box). INSIDE: It's like a pub theme. With a lots of seating and also seating outside. Now for large parties(like 15 plus) it's not a good place unless you don't mind seating at different tables. That's what we had to do. Their blue cheese sauce for bone-in chicken Buffalo wings is so good. It has chunks on it and it doesn't have that strong taste of blue like I usually tasted from other restaurants. The celery have good quality of freshness and so it's so crunchy. I didn't even feel that strips that's usually gets stuck in your teeth when you bite. I almost finish my beets salad. Decided to try this place out after reading over a few reviews to see what the hype was about! The Whiskey Kitchen atmosphere was very nice and open while still having a bar area and booth/table seating. We had the Buffalo chicken spring rolls, shrimp po boy and crab cake. I personally had the shrimp po boy on a gluten freE bun and fries. The shrimp were a VERY Nice size but was not seasoned!! The sandwich over all was ok, I can go without it! The spring rolls weren't all that to me to be honest but in the same breath, I don't care for blue cheese. I'm not sure if it had/have blue cheese in it but it tasted like it. We came here once for dinner before coming to a friends house. We came in during happy hour and I got their sangria because I don't drink beer the first time. I got their braised short ribs and I wasn't all that impressed because I felt it was lacking sauce. My significant other got their Whiskey Burger and he liked it a lot. He also got a vanilla beer and he said there wasn't a lot of vanilla in it, but it's beer, so it is what it is. My second time around, my entree was AMAZING. I got the scallop Florentine and I was blown away. My scallops were beautifully cooked as was my rice. If I could eat that every day, I probably would. Great work on that guys. I also go their blood orange whiskey sour, which was so good and had egg whites in it, which I'd never had before, but I was impressed. My coworker also go the same whiskey sour I did and her entree was chicken fiesta bowl. She really liked that and cleaned off here plate. I only had a tiny bit of leftovers, but that's because I had eaten a lot in the day prior to that. We have yet to get dessert from there, but I will probably always come back for the scallop Florentine. That's how good it is. Our servers have always been really nice and we've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for service and that's a big plus considering where it's located. This place is awesome!! The first time I came, I tried the Chicken Caesar wrap which was good. Then, I waited a very long time before coming back because life happened. My husband and I had Monday off for President's Day and went to a movie at Regal which is right next to this restaurant. My co worker told me that this place does half price handhelds on Monday and I just nodded my head. I don't know why I thought that meant beer, like a bottle that you hold in your hand! Anyway, I asked someone else and they said it was food! So, after the movie we made a quick stop at a store then came back here for a late lunch/early dinner. There weren't a lot of people inside which was cool. We chose to sit at a booth and I put my stuff down then used the restroom which was clean! That is always a plus. When I got back to the table the waitress came by to tell us about the Restaurant Week specials and I asked if they were still doing the handheld deal which she said yes. I wanted to try the fish tacos, because as always it reminds me of Sunny SoCal. I also wanted a burger. My husband and I shared the tacos which I didn't even eat the tortilla because the fish was in huge chunks!! They were amazing and I am waiting to go back to have more. I got the distillery burger and asked for it to be wrapped in lettuce (which I had it pictured a different way in my mind). The burger was also good and so were the fries. I just can't stop thinking about the fish tacos and how amazing they were. I would go everyday just for their fish tacos! Since it was half price handhelds our bill was super cheap!! The only complaint I would have is they seated us in the middle of the room and it was a bit tight. We ordered a round of appetizers which came out relatively quickly. We ordered Buffalo cauliflower, the spring rolls, and the pub pretzel which we all devoured. For dinner I had the chicken rockefeller which was outstanding and everyone in my group raved about their food. The waitress was very helpful in accommodating our groups allergies and continuously filled our waters and asked how things were going. I really enjoyed my meal! I heard when it first opened up it wasn't good, I guess they had kinks to iron out. Well after being open for awhile they got it! The atmosphere is dark rustic with wood everywhere. There were Christmas songs playing but with high ceilings, it's drowned by family giggles and conversations. My waitress was on point with making sure our drinks was completely full never going below the half full mark. My appetizer, thanks to Yelp's recommendation, was the beer cheese and soft pretzels. It was yummy!! The cheese was warm and creamy but after 5 mins not so. The cheese never got hard though but I wish it came in a warmer pot or something to stay hot and creamy. The pretzel was the soft baked kind. It was definitely enough to share! The Grilled BBQ chicken was juicy and with bacon on a ciabatta bread how could you go wrong! BLUF: good food, but a pain in the rear end if you have a big group As as expected, the food was delicious. The service was generally good, although I spent an entire meal and never had my water glass refilled and the lemon we ask for with our water was never brought to the table. My biggest gripe with this place has been, and continues to be, their policy with respect to getting a large group in. They do not accept reservations, and they are not alone in that. But what they do offer is what they advertise as "call ahead." I called them about 2 hours before my group was going to go there, and was told to call when we were about to leave because we are only about 15 minutes away. The idea was that if we called ahead they could start to set up a table for us but they'd know for sure we are coming because we were on our way. So I did that and I called right before we left and was told "we don't do call aheads." Then when we got there we were told the wait was 40 minutes, and that we had to wait because the large table that had just opened up was for someone who had called ahead. Apparently whether or not they take call heads depends on who you were speaking to at the time. The food was up to its usual very high standards, but this aspect of scheduling has been less than satisfactory for a long time. When you're in a location where large family groups like to go for vacation you should have some consistent position on how you're going to treat those groups. read more

I brought my whole family there to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. I could not tell you if any of us enjoyed the food because our waitress was immediately asking if she could box up our food. Just like last time service was some of the best in the business water stayed full without even having to ask! I started with an appetizer the Buffalo wings saucy with a nice crisp! This time I looked for something signature something with the name of the restaurant in it. We visited for lunch on a whim and were happy with our experience. I appreciate the fact that they use locally sourced ingredients, which is always a bonus for me when dining out. My salad was delicious and had a perfect balance of different flavors and textures. I added a crab cake to my salad, it was seasoned well and very meaty-not a bunch of fillers like some other restaurants. My husband enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich and chips, but thought the pork could of been a little more tender and the chips needed to be more heavily seasoned. I tried one and thought the same thing, but otherwise they were perfectly fried. We shares a blondie with vanilla ice from for dessert, which was good, it tasted like it was fresh baked and made with good quality ingredients. The sauce drizzled over it was delicious! I thought the dessert was a tad overpriced, but most restaurant desserts are, in my opinion. Our server was friendly and tentative, refilled our drinks when needed and cleared our dishes in a timely manner. The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed. Overall a good experience!
