It was a good dining experience here. We enjoyed our time but when I say that they charge you for everything here, they do. They charge for the lemon verblanc for the fish and then the sauce for the $140 steak we ordered. Nominal cost but, still, just weird to charge. What else were they going to put on it if we didn't want the sauce for a charge? Food for thought... The red snapper was pretty small and really didn't taste like much - they doused it in the verblanc and it sacrificed the integrity of the snapper, in my opinion. The garden parpadelle tasted like Campbell vegetable soup - this was confirmed by others at the table. The creamed spinach was yummy but I've never met a creamed spinach I didn't enjoy. Apps were quite small so I'd suggest ordering double if you're with a party of 4 or more. Overall, this was a nice atmosphere, service was great. I just wasn't blown away by the flavors or food. We had a Friday night reservation here for dinner at 8 o'clock for three people. We were prompt seated and greeted by two waiters. We opted for the Himalayan salt block which came with grilled shrimp and fillet tails. Became served on a piping hot salt block. We also opted for the onion rings after seeing another table will have them and having food envy. We ordered the tempura green beans which were more bread than tempura. I ordered the wedge salad. This preparation came chopped instead of an a wedge. I had the 8 ounce filet mignon cooked to my liking. We also had a crab cake which was good with little filler and a lot of jumbo crab pieces . We also had one scallop entree . I did order a baked potato for a side which was a normal size baked potato. That was my only complaint. The potato tasted like it wasn't fresh. It also is eight dollars. We all know how much a potato cost. We also ordered the crispy brussels sprouts which were good not great because they weren't exactly hot. The scallops were grilled perfectly and flavored and seasoned well. We finished off dinner with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. All in all the service was really good and the food was good. I love that they keep the steak juice on the plate. Some places drain it for presentation but the juice added flavor. My friend had the meatloaf with mash potatoes. She loved it. We shared the garlic spinach and Brussels sprouts. Brussels sprouts comes topped with a vinaigrette. Very tasty. 4 stars because of the spinach. It was swimming in that garlic sauce. Dog friendly patio alert! We had a great meal at Theo's outside on their patio. We ordered burgers and a bunch of sides and some cocktails. Their burgers come with fries, which isn't stated, so that was a fun surprise when we also ordered a side of truffle fries (which were incredible btw). Skip the brussel sprouts, they were pretty basic. The mashed potatoes are incredibly creamy! Their cocktails were fun and happy hour goes until 6pm. If you're dining with you dog, they'll bring a water bowl and a doggie menu! So fun! Staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They loved coming over to give the dogs pets. Love it! We've had pleasant experiences in the past and so we expected the same. Food is usually good but after two attempts to enjoy the Thanksgiving Dinner, I have to comment. It is advertised as turkey with all the trimmings. There were maybe two medium spoonfuls of mashed potatoes on the plate. The gravy was delicious, but the turkey was tough. And then, the green beans. It was as though they were harvested earlier in the day then blanched for three seconds then presented with no seasoning or sauce. They were crunchy because they were several notches on the dial to the left of al dente. The only purpose of the green beans was to take up space on the plate. It felt (again) like a ripoff. I don't know where to start with last nights dinner. This was a birthday dinner for a friend of ours. The waiter gave him a piece of paper with happy birthday on it? For what reason we all couldn't figure out what and why the piece of paper was cut out and given? Then we had to ask for more beard because our waiter wouldn't come back to our table to check on us. Had 8:00 reservation, the waitress came to the table at 8:30 and told us it was last call. We hadn't even Been served our dinner yet, we asked her why and she started saying it ABC rules, which we know was incorrect. We ordered a bottle of wine to have something with dinner. Dinner was fine and she asked us about desert and we ordered expresso martinis she said we could only get something from the kitchen, the bar was closed. They rushed us out by 9:20. There is no way this was intended. The second dish was the mushroom ravioli, recommended for the "creamy, silky sauce" our waiter claimed. An absolutely delicious experience! My travel friend and I stopped in for an early evening meal, with no idea that we stumbled onto a Happy Hour. We ordered drinks - My fancy friend ordered a Manhattan, which was said to be a perfect pour. I went basic and ordered a vodka cranberry to wet my whistle. Now the food... We got an order of the barbequed shrimp, served with a baguette. The baguette was put to good use after the shrimp was devoured. We sopped up the gravy with a quickness! My friend got the Theo's Burger, a classic burger with the fixings. Personally, I think that I made the better choice and got the Jam Burger, which is essentially the Theo with a bacon/tomato jam slathered on top. Very very good. We headed to Theo's for Happy Hour as we like the vibe of the place, yet didn't want a steak type of meal. While their HH menu is ok,not great, we ordered a bit off of each menu. Starting with Shrimp tempura,the HH order is 2 pieces. We asked for 2 orders, but as the pieces were so large, we could've done with one, the shrimp were very large and tasty. Moving on I ordered the French onion soup, it was very good, flavorful and not salty. There was plenty of cheese, yet not too much. I was still a bit hungry, so I ordered the tuna tartare, it was so good ! My Husband had the smelly burger, blue cheese, onion and mushroom. It was delicious, good quality beef perfectly cooked medium rare. He got onion rings on the side, they were also very good. Would highly recommend Theo's for an upscale night out. We began with a bottle of wine. They have a fantastic bottle selection with well-curated options. The tuna tartare appetizer was light and fantastic with lots of fresh ginger. For dinner, our group ordered steak and seafood. While Theo's is a steakhouse, their seafood options were very well done. The steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. While pricey, the quality and cook justified the price. We split the brownie sundae for dessert, which was a perfect cap on the meal. Clean restaurant and overall looks new and nice. -- Bone in Rib-eye: we were between sharing this or the Chateaubriand for 2, and went with this monster bone in rib eye because it's HUGE. I like the sides. However overall dish didn't really stand out to me. Also the cook on the meat was uneven throughout. It is a big steak so i get it must be more difficult to get an even temp, But it kind of :( when part of this big expensive steak was medium well and another was rare. We tried lots of dishes like the salmon, shrimp tempura, shrimp cocktail, tuna tartare, mushroom ravioli, and all was good but nothing really was WOW. The best was probably the shrimp cocktail because it was definitely fresh and the shrimp were big. The salmon piece was thin and appears to be the tail end and it was very dry. My family has been vacationing in Rehoboth for well over 20 years. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And Theo's is, by far, the least family friendly restaurant in this family friendly town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Worse than that they are actively hostile toward larger parties, especially if you have any children with you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recently dined there with a table of ten adults and four kids (between ages 6 and 2). The kids are all picky eaters, so we brought some buttered pasta to make sure they at least ate something. After we ordered our appetizers and drinks, we let the kids start eating. Within a few minutes, one of the hosts came over to the table and very aggressively started ranting about how it is "highly illegal" to bring outside food into the restaurant and demanded that we put their food away. First, the tone was unnecessarily rude and hostile. Second, he's wrong. There is nothing illegal about bringing food in for a child, especially if they have special dietary restrictions or needs. And it is even more ridiculous for them to be that rude about small kids eating plain pasta when they can't even be bothered to have a kids menu. Beyond that nonsense, the service and food isn't nearly good enough to justify treating people that way. We had to ask at least four times for basic things like straws for the cups they gave us. The sides we ordered were cold. The cook was wrong on at least three of the filets we ordered. When the table next to us dropped a glass, which shattered on the floor, it took the staff at least ten minutes to respond. The customer ended up picking up the glass pieces himself because no one from Theo's seemed to care. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It seems Theo's has forgotten where they are.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We spent over a thousand dollars on the meal, but next year we'll bring our business elsewhere. And we'll be sure to warn other familys to avoid spending their money here. There are PLENTY of better places to get steak in Rehoboth, and every one of them will treat you better. read more

Was there Friday night with friends. Craig G. was our server, first of all, he was reading off the menu too much and didn't make eye contact with any of the guests while doing so and didn't really elaborate on any specific dishes. Second, it was very unprofessional that he was looking down at his Toast handheld device the entire time we were talking to him trying to order, maybe just write the order down so you're not on a screen the entire time, taking too much time to not-interact with the people you're serving. Third, if something is going to be an upcharge, please let the guest know. 99% we are fine with paying it, but you should let them know. Fourth, I ordered two drinks, and he got them wrong both times. One of them a Tito's martini, and it came out as a Ketel One martini and also let the guest know when you are charging for it being extra dirty..? What?
