It was a random weeknight and many of our friend group were craving burgers. We looked up something nearby and had high hopes for this restaurant based on the mouthwatering burger photos online. Unfortunately, reality didn't live up to expectations. My friends were craving juicy burgers, but what they got was underwhelming - the burgers were dry and definitely needed more sauce. I opted for the steak salad, which I enjoyed, but there was some confusion when two people at our table ordered different steak temperatures. When the salads arrived, both steaks looked the same (medium), and when we asked the server about which one was the medium rare one, he just pointed randomly to one as if guessing. Service was painfully slow, and the entire meal took an hour and a half mostly due to waiting. In hindsight, what were we thinking going to a restaurant located inside the Knott's Hotel? This ain't no Disney. Lesson learned! read more

I want to rate this place higher, because people were friendly and the food was actually pretty good, but on a weeknight where there weren't many people the service was very slow. We went long period of time without seeing our waiter and we never ended up getting things like napkins, refills of water, silverware. Foodwise, our group tried a number of things. The Steak Salad was pretty good, the 30 Acres Barn Burger Burger hit the spot, the Berry Farm burger was both good and disappointing. Both people who ordered it said they wish it had more boysenberry. Sounds weird to me, but if that's their jam (as it were). Parking was free and a non issue. You pull up to the hotel and let the gate know you're there for the restaurant and they tell you park where you want. The inside of the hotel was nice, the space was nice, the food was alright, prices were reasonable. I hope the place just had an off day in terms of service, I'd probably be willing to try it again, but I think someone would have to want to go. Stayed at the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel and our room package included the breakfast buffet. The restaurant was nicely decorated for the holidays. The hostess and our server were friendly and welcoming. The food was good, no complaints. There were a few issues. When we were seated our table was really wet. The hostess apologized and said she would dry it if we wished. Of course we wanted it dried. I think anyone would. It should've been dried without asking. The hostess said "I'll go get a towel." Instead she reached over to the next table and grabbed paper napkins which really didn't dry anything. She should've went and got a towel. When I ordered my coffee I told the server I needed. cream. My coffee arrived without it. It took three reminders to the server before I received my cream and by then my coffee was cold. I was never offered a refill or warm up while we were there. In the buffet area two male employees were complaining about having to work which was inappropriate in front of guests. Overall, the experience could've been better. read more

This new renovated restaurant is one of the best place to dine in located at the Knott's Berry Farm hotel. Food are delicious comes in good portion for decent prices. I had ordered Berry Farm Burger with boysenberry chipotle BBQ sauce. So juicy with lots of flavor. Their alcoholic beverages are great as well, which wasn't expensive at all. Love the atmosphere felt cozy like farm barn setting, but upscale with pristine decorations. They even had a nice fireplace located outdoor patio seatings. Service was good with a friendly staff. I was really impressed with this restaurant. Highly recommend to visit when you make a full day at Knott's Berry Farm. It's the best one yet throughout the park, but just a little walk to the hotel. Food was terrible, service was worse and you're paying Knotts Berry Farm prices! 4 adults and 3 kids staying at Knotts Berry Farm so 2 adults could go to Knotts Scary Farm Halloween event; wevate early (4:30) dinner here because it was convenient (its inside of the hotel) - HUGE mistake! Corn appitizer ($15.75) was basically a very small ear of Corn cut vertically into 4th, fried and seasoned - not worth it. Chicken pot pie was more like "mush pie" and had no flavor. Chipolte Boysenberry BBQ chicken pizza was decent, but after 1 slice the uniqueness wore off. The best part of the meal was the side of broccoli, but it was probably so good because it was drentched in butter. The food was pathetically bad. We all had water except 1 cup of coffee ($5.50) and our bill (without tip) was right around $100. Forget about the service. Once seated, we had to have one of our party go ask for someone to bring us water and take our order. Food did come out relatively quick, but we never saw our server again and had to go ask someone to give d out server to give us our bill. Horrible dinner. read more

First of all, I usually avoid hotel restaurants. But the easiness of it on this particular night did draw me in. I ordered the chicken nachos and a basket of fries and Greg ordered the large two topping pizza. Pepperoni and pepperoni! The nachos are not great. In all honesty when a menu says you get guacamole with it, I expect guacamole with it. These nachos had a few squirts of a green liquid and they called that guacamole. It is what it is. The chicken did have some sort of taco type seasoning on it. This is your typical lousy nacho that most places offer. Nothing to be excited about. And you also wonder why you ordered nachos again when you always have a bad experience with the quality. Nachos can be so good, and also at the same time they can be so bad. These nachos were closer to the bad side than the good. The basket of fries was also just fair. Nothing memorable about them other than they needed some salt and a ton of ketchup to make it worth even eating. I'm one of those people who hates to order something and waste it, so most of them did get choked down. The pizza on the other hand was very good. The pepperonis are huge and super flavorful. I'd order that again. And there was plenty to take home. Pizza is one of those items you can take with you and eat later. The waitress was attentive and it's a nice clean space. It is really a 3.5 star place, definitely not a 4. But there isn't an option for that so I elected to go higher than the lower 3. read more

This was our first time dining at the restaurant. We chose to dine at the bar lounge. We started the evening off with the chicken nachos. We weren't expecting much but the portion and toppings were enough to satisfy our appetite. We should've know from then on that the food was going to be hefty and just as delicious. We are very excited to see that 30 Acres Kitchen finally opened. It was our first experience to see the renovations at the Knott's Hotel and we were really impressed. They clearly invested money to breathe new life into this property. Here was our take: *SERVICE* Great! Corinna was our waitress and helped make it an enjoyable meal. We had questions about the menu and she was able to offer good input. *DRINKS* - Passion Fruit Mai Tai Definitely on the fruity/sweet side. Not very "boozy" in flavor [which my husband prefers]. Personally, I would have preferred to taste the rum a bit more. - Boysen-tini A nice boysenberry-themed cocktail. Pretty much tasted as expected and hoped. Vodka based and enjoyable. - The Country Cooler Surprisingly, this was a decently strong vodka based drink. If you like watermelon Jolly Ranchers, you'll enjoy this. *FOOD* - Fried Pickle Chips Technically these are on the bar menu but we were able to order them. They were good. The best we've had? No. Better than some we've had? Yes. - Golden Hickory Corn Curls This starter sounded intriguing. The flavors were delicious BUT eating them was a bit awkward and underwhelming. It wasn't entirely clear that these actually included a strip of the cob. After taking the first bite, it was abundantly clear that the cob was there and it wasn't edible. Probably the weakest part of our overall experience. Again, the flavors were great but we wouldn't order these again. The strip of corn cob kinda ruined it. Maybe fresh corn fritter 'sticks' might have worked better? - Granny's Chicken Pot Pie My husband ordered this and he enjoyed the flavor but the one thing he'd have them leave off is the gravy on top of the pastry portion; it made the pasty too soggy. - Apple Orchard Salad The portion was a true entree size; which I was a little concerned about. I'd certainly order this again. Flavors all worked perfectly. The candied pecans were delicious and the apple vinaigrette was a highlight! They didn't skimp on the feta cheese; which I appreciated. It would have been nice for a grilled chicken breast option as an 'add-on'. Note: I did order this without the diced egg. - Roasted Baby Potatoes These were good. A good side to add with an entree. - Broccolini with Crispy Garlic Another reviewer was accurate in saying that this side was overly greasy. Ours didn't have much garlic flavor and the bit of garlic wasn't crispy at all. Unlike the previous reviewer's experience, our wasn't burnt . . . it was just lacking. Food can be good at a restaurant but if the service is lacking, that can be a big problem. All in all, we really enjoyed our meal at 30 Acres Kitchen. Finally got to stop in the new 30 acres restaurant! The newly renovated hotel is beautiful and smells very nice! The restaurant is equally as beautiful and spacious. Our server, Paul, was very attentive, nice and informative. The "Boysenberry drinks" are very sweet. The old fashioned had a hing of bourbon taste and a whole lot of sweetness with a hint of bacon flavor. The mojito was equally as sweet and lacked the taste of lime, mint, and bubbles.. all the components of a mojito hahaha. If sweet drinks is what you're into, then any of the boysenberry drinks are perfect for you! If not, steer clear of them! The food was all very good! The tortilla soup was perfect, the nachos were tasty and seasoned very well, and the burger was the star of the show! Would go back again for sure! read more

The new Thirty Acres Kitchen has amazing food and friendly service. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel and is open to the public (you do not need to be a hotel guest). The former Amber Waves was one of our favorite places to eat, but the new design inside is absolutely beautiful, modern, and clean. The restaurant offers a breakfast buffet and plated breakfast items. Lunch and Dinner are also offered. There is a Happy Hour on select days as well. Since opening just a few weeks ago, I have eaten there several times and have had the breakfast buffet, a breakfast meal, two lunches, several dinners, and visited for Happy Hour. I thoroughly enjoyed everything that I have tried. Favorites include: Tortilla Soup Thirty Acres Nachos Farm House Cobb Salad Apple Orchard Salad Thirty Acres Burger Wagon Wheel Burger Hot Hen Sandwich Camp Fire Cajun Salmon Caramel Apple Crunch Cobbler The service is also fantastic! Mike behind the bar has helped us on several occasions since reopening (and numerous times when it was Amber Waves). He is always attentive and makes great drinks... try the Hot Mamarita (spicy Margarita) or the Boysenberry Bourbon Smash. Last visit, Mike recommended that I try a Michelada with their housemade mix. It was a great choice! While the food is delicious, the staff is also a reason we return... starting with the management... Gio, Ron and Hill, Crystal at the host stand, servers Corrina, Alex, Daniel, Gladys, and others. Plus, Daniel, Hope, and Wendy behind the bar when Mike isn't there. Hands down, the best restaurant at Knott's. I don't bother with any of the quick service restaurants in the park because the food inside is very subpar and is ridiculously overpriced. Here, not only the price point is similar to what you find in the park but the food has much more flavor and it's made fresh to order. I had the 30 Acres Barn Burger and it was very flavorful and juicy and the over easy egg topping made the burger really pop! I also had the onion ring plate that I shared with my party and it too was very flavorful and great seasoning(I wonder if the batter used is a beer batter of sorts). As for the look of the restaurant, it looks very relaxing. It's definitely a great place to eat and take a break from the park(Seriously, come here to get your Knott's food fix when visiting the park). Also, this one is open to the public so you don't have to be a guest from the hotel to visit. Definitely recommend it, and I can't wait to come back. read more

Our servers were both really nice. The bartender was nice. He forgot about our mozzarella sticks, but I get it. The restaurant was clean other than the crumbs and condensation/liquid that got wiped off the table onto the booth seat I sat in with shorts on was not my favorite, but, I get it. I love how it was brightly lit, the floors were clean. After sitting at the bar and eating mozzarella sticks, we went and got a booth and ordered dinner. I ordered shrimp fajitas and was served a small cast iron fajita dish with a wooden bumper that was splintering every which way. When the server brought it out to hand to me and said be careful it's hot. It wasn't that it was hot, it literally stuck my fingers. And that wasn't even the worst. There were 5. FIVE shrimp. For the shrimp fajitas. And almost a whole entire red onion and 1/8th of assorted bell peppers. I could understand the 5 shrimp for maybe a lunch serving, but it was dinner and I was dumbfounded. The shrimp seemed to be thrown in as an afterthought. There was zero seasoning on any of it. And the shrimp were just added last. I guarantee it. My husband enjoyed the potato leek soup. The pork chop he ordered he said was ok, but it was missing something. The pan sauce was his favorite. Our son enjoyed his burger and fries. After dinner, the server brought the bill. My husband gave his credit card and the server didn't bring the card back after he signed. He had to go ask for it. I'm certain that was 100% just a mistake and not something that happens regularly. We had boysenberry margaritas (one blended and one regular) that definitely hit the spot before heading into the park! The prices were a steal compared to in the park and the service was great. The newly designed dining room was modern and chic. While I love the old rustic vibe of Knotts it was still a huge improvement over the bland amber waves concept. The ribs were cooked perfectly - juicy and soft. The sunrise burger tastes as how it looks. Boysenberry pie slice was not that large but still tastes delicious - I liked the pie crust. The boysenberry gelato tastes just like a regular vanilla ice cream with a hint of boysenberry flavor. Ambiance and service was great.
