I've been to TigaWok a few times, and what made me fall in love with it was the original concept. You could choose several small dishes served in cute little containers, which made it easy to try different flavors at a very affordable price. My favorite was always the tomato and egg dish, so I came back craving it, only to find out it's no longer on the menu. It looks like TigaWok has shifted to a build-your-own bowl concept. You start by choosing a base (jasmine rice, chow mein, half or all greens, purple rice, or egg fried rice), then a protein, a veggie, and a side. They also offer complimentary sauces, and I really enjoyed the ginger scallion sauce. It added great flavor to my bowl. My only issue was that the menu wasn't very clear about what qualifies as a "veggie" versus a "side." I chose roasted pumpkin (squash) as my vegetable and spicy cucumber as my side, but I was still charged extra, which was confusing. I wish the menu explained the categories better or simply combined the vegetable and side into one selection since they're all vegetable-based dishes. It would make the ordering process much more customer-friendly and avoid surprises at checkout. I also ordered the braised pork belly, which used to be one of my favorites. Before, it came in tender, bite-sized pieces. This time, the pork was cut into larger chunks with a lot of fat, and unfortunately, the meat was dry. I understand that businesses evolve, and the staff explained that the new concept caters to their customer demographics. I appreciate that they're offering more vegan-friendly options while still keeping pork, beef, chicken, and shrimp on the menu. However, I miss the old concept that made TigaWok stand out. I hope they'll consider bringing back some of the original favorites and making the ordering process a little clearer. I'd love to see this place thrive because I've genuinely enjoyed it in the past.

I visited this location around 12:10pm on a Saturday. There was no wait, and I felt very comfortable as I read the menu and took the time to understand the difference between a base and a mini bowl (aka I was not rushed). The employee was very patient and helpful. We ended up ordering the Garlic eggplant and green beans ($4), chow mein mini bowl ($4), orange chicken mini bowl ($5), and a fountain beverage. I really like the option of a mini bowl. Sometimes, I don't have the appetite to eat a full meal, and I don't want to waste food either. Other times, I just want to try new food. Regardless, I really appreciated the option of a mini bowl. The most enjoyable thing I had was the green beans in the eggplant dish. They were perfectly crunchy. All other items were okay to me. It was edible, just not something I would necessarily go back for. Overall the highlights of Tigawok for me was the friendly staff, cleanliness of the restaurant, and I enjoyed the option to have a mini bowl.

It is very nice. It's similar to panda express but so much better. I really love the red braised pork belly, that was very tender, fatty and delicious. The peppered chicken was very tasty as well. They have different varieties of dishes to choose from that are really delicious and fresh and fresh. They also offer pickled radish, and chili sauce. The best part was the utensils and containers they provided. It's really cool and high-quality covers and lids. Everything was available at a self-service counter.. If you had leftovers, you could easily pack them up yourself without having to go to the front again to ask for a to-go box. Such a convenient and a unique idea. A plate for two entree was $10.99 ( with additional a dollar or $1.50 for braised pork belly and curry ) and $13.99 for a plate of three entree of choice.

Cool new Chinese food concept with robotic woks and smaller side portions. You choose the different small plates you like so you can mix and match with others at the table vs panda etc that puts a combo all into one personal platter. Fresh Chinese favorites at Great prices with good consistent food. These guys may become a big competitor to panda and other quick service Asian chains.

Fast efficient service! :) I tried the vegetarian tofu, the fried rice, the eggplant string beans-- all were actually decently flavored and the fried rice not bad for fast food, def superior to a certain popular Chinese fast food chain imo. We enjoyed it and the Togo packages and bag, even the straws are such good quality! |[ n o t e s ]| I would suggest less oil in the dishes, more vegan/vegetarian options, and soup options to make this place more amazing. I was hungry and near this place and as much as I don't like their 'No Cash' policy, I decided to eat here. I was in the area and walked in as I thought that everything was made to order but it's not. It's basically a food to go place. I came at lunch time and it was pretty empty inside. Service was friendly. The store is large and clean inside, but the food in the case did not look appetizing, it looked like it was sitting for a long time. Since I was there, I got the orange chicken and the tomato egg, and a bit of the hot sauce condiment. The hot sauce was delicious. The orange chicken was not, it was 90% batter and had a burnt taste. The tomato egg was ok but not great. Not for me.

Super quick service when we went mid day on a week day. I've never been so I just copied what my friends got --pork and fried egg plant with great beans. It was good and filling and lasted me two lunches. Very similar to Panda Express imo but a little more expensive. A great option if you want a big bowl.

Tigawok focuses on a quick-service, cafeteria style and mini-bowl approach where customers can try multiples smaller portions. Dishes are intentionally priced to be affordable and competitive with grocery prices, typically ranging between $3 and $7. I really like the mini bowl concept, perfect portions and reasonable price. However, food is mediocre, lacking in depth or complex, authentic flavors. The feel of the restaurant was modern, bright, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Dishes are acceptable when I am looking for a quick meal but not one I would specifically go out of my way to find again.

Finished work and I was HUNGRY! My coworker told me to check out Tigawok and I did. I could tell by the people sitting outside that this place was popular. Very spacious and airy inside. I went to the sneezeproof counter and the server guided me through how to order. Got my proteins, veggies and other fun options. Paid and went to the refreshment beverage station to get my delicious drink. My food was amazing and I got to " people watch" people ordering their food in very comfy booths. This place is fun & tasty!

Smorgasbord style, Chinese fast food (the Chinese Chipotle). This place is super clean, modern and comfortable. We came in to sample a variety of items. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Tiga Wagyu Curry, Braised Pork & Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl, Egg Fried Rice, Chow Mein and some White Rice. This is not gourmet, but it's good, and very reasonably priced. The total order came to only $31.00 Overall, the food was fine, but I was most impressed by the packaging. The to-go containers are all very sleek and the carry-out bags are well made and nicely decorated. Definitely the best packaging I've seen for food containers. This was a pleasant experience and I will be back again.

I highly recommend the orange chicken here! I love that it was perfectly crispy and overall each piece was cooked the same (is it because of the wok?) I'll have to try other locations to see! I had lunch with my teenage son earlier today at Tigawok. I have noticed it last week when I was in the area so I made a mental note to give it a try. Located at downtown Burbank right by the AMC 16. The restaurant is spacious with indoor seating, very bright and chill ambiance. The food is displayed for you to see. You basically choose the items that are served individually in bowls except there are three or four combos already with rice and main dish. We got variety of dishes to try, rice and chow mein. The eggplant and green bean dish was my most favorite and the chow mein. The rest very average tasting cafeteria style food. The beef was the worst probably with so much celery in it.... The orange chicken tasted like pork or something similar, and it was very dry. Overall the food wasn't what I expected, from reading the reviews it sounded so good. Just opened on Palm across from the AMC 16. There are so many things i love about this spot after my first visit. Their specialty is mini bowls. Sometimes you just need a snack, you are out and about - its really hard to find something small and something healthy to enjoy, you can also tell they care about the environment with their reusable and washable to go containers - and can i mention they are so cute! For this visit I wanted to try a variety of items. You go up to the counter to order (and you can see all the food in front of you) The staff walked us through selecting a base, i went with rice and chow main, then i selected orange chicken peel. I also wanted to try the new pork buns and had a side garlic eggplant and green beans. My eye ate first, so yes, this was a lot of food but you know i had to try it! Everything was really good, and i was able to bring the leftovers home and enjoyed the next day. Next time, i'll try to refrain from ordering so much but it was so delicious this may still be a problem. We had two items that that they had to make more off so when checking out got a beeper that went off promptly. Plenty of seating in the restaurant but the joy of palm street is there are also several outdoor tables on that street to take your food and enjoy. Plenty of parking in this area as well! read more

First time here but not the last! You can sample all the dishes before you decide. It was hard to decide because everything was delicious! You have 3 choices for your base. Steamed rice, rice and wagyu or noodles. A wide variety of choices. It's not your typical Chinese fast food. Dishes are more unique and elevated. Staff was super nice and helpful and patient as I tried the samples. I wanted to see the cooking machine in action but didn't get to this trip. It's located in the area by the movie theater. There's no close ADA parking. IF you got the very first spot on the street, it's still at least a block away. The place was aesthetically pleasing. I love the teal color palette for all the lids and utensils. Very calming. read more

So excited to visit Tigawok! This place offers excellent value for the price. The staff were friendly and provided fast service. Kenny, the manager, was gracious and expressed himself with great detail about the Asian fusion in his food and how he grew up eating what he was serving us. We tried the orange peep chicken, which had just the right amount of batter. The wagyu mapo tofu had great flavor. For me, the sweet tomato and scrambled eggs were surprisingly good as they had just the right amount of sweetness. The broccoli and brussels sprouts were delicious too! The food was EXTREMELY DELICIOUS with the chilli . I had the rest togo and my family said it was too salty. I think the chilli garlic they had was very delicious and I had it with everything so i couldn't taste the saltiness. Still a great experience. Food was cheap! I would definitely go again for the cheapness of it. The togo boxes were also very cute and sturdy. Go to the counter and order just like Ikea. Don't forget your tray! read more

Orange Chicken 2. Chow Mein 3. Braised Pork & Wagyu Beef Rice Bowl 4. Garlic Eggplant & Green Beans 5. Sweet & Sour Pork The Orange Chicken and the Chow Mein were by far the highlight of the meal, and were SUPER delicious. The orange chicken was crunchy and flavorful, and the chow Mein had the softest noodles and overall a good pair to the orange chicken. I think the overall feel of the place ESPECIALLY the utensils, containers, and bags were top tier. The quality was insane and honestly the bags felt like the Lululemon bags NOTE: We did find a hair in the braised pork and wagyu beef bowl, but when we brought it up it was immediately replaced and the staff were super apologetic about it. The new bowl DID NOT have anything on it, so for me it didn't take away from the experience. Good. Fast. Cheap. How many things can you say that about? Quite a variety of interesting flavor profiles. Everything fresh. Served in handy containers you can take home and reuse/reheat. My wife and I can eat here for cheaper than two Big Mac value meals at McDonald's, and the quality and healthiness of the food is much higher. This is the best to-go, affordable food option here in Burbank. The prices cannot be beat and the food is delicious. It's like McDonald's prices but with a more interesting delicious Asian cuisine. We decided to get a spread and try a bit of each thing, so we got the Chinese sausage fried rice, chow mein, braised pork belly & potato, orange chicken, pepper kurobota pork, beef curry, & Brussels sprouts. My bf LOVEDDDDD the braised pork belly. Orange chicken can seem basic, but theirs was perfect with a crunchy outside and juicy chicken inside. Way better than panda. My favorite will always be the pepper kurobota pork, it's so savory & spicy and the peppers have this almost meat-like, fatty texture that's so delicious with their slight char. And this all was only $50 and is enough to feed way more than two people, we have sooo much leftovers! I would def have added one more side dish, like the plain white rice for a better side to main ratio. We will definitely make this our staying in & pigging out go-to spot! read more

Not sure how I feel about robot cooked food but it was an experience! Everything looked fresh, clean and warm. They provide take out food containers and bags for customers so if there's anything you don't finish, you can take out. Plus, their containers are reusable and microwaveable! I was in this plaza looking for lunch when I saw the grand opening sign and how robots cook it?? I had to see it myself I love this concept. You grab a tray then choose a few entrees or sides to get as a bowl. I got the fried rice bowl, orange peel chicken bowl, and the pepper kurobota pork. The orange peel chicken tastes soooo good it reminds me of Panda Express but it's juicier and has more meat in each bite. The fried rice was delicious it wasn't too oily like most places I've tried and it's well seasoned. Had delicious bites of sausage which was a nice add. My favorite was the pepper kurobota pork !! It's melt in your mouth and it had grilled veggies that had the perfect snap. They have homemade teas I got the unsweetened oolong but they have honey sweetened black tea as an option too. They also have regular fountain drinks. The employees were extremely helpful and friendly, they helped me understand the order process and gave me the suggestion to try the kurobota pork!! They also showed me where the soy sauce, and vinegar, toppings were to add to my dishes. It was well lit and clean inside, with beautiful decorations I love the mirror ceilings. I was also pleasantly surprised with the take out boxes, they're reusable and microwaveable which is so cool! Overall my experience with the food, employees, and place was excellent I'm still very shocked that all the food was made by a robot wok!!! read more

I tried this spot yesterday after seeing it on TikTok. The portion sizes are good and the prices are really affordable. I got rice, orange chicken, kung pao chicken and Thai basil chicken. The orange chicken was delicious, . The kung pao chicken was good but kinda sweet. The Thai basil was dry and not flavorful at all. The service was phenomenal and everyone was extremely nice. It was my first time here and the service here was very friendly and amazing. I asked for help because it was kinda overwhelming, but they helped and explain things thoroughly on how the process worked here. They also gave samples for you to try and it was AMAZING. I recommend you guys checking this place out. This gives off cafeteria vibes like when you were back in school, asking what you want. Love getting the chow mien here and the orange peel chicken. I always share with my friend the chow mien and rice since the portions are a good size. Orange chicken and chow mien are more flavorful than Panda Express and I keep coming back. Looking forward to the grand opening. read more

We thoroughly enjoy Tigawok. We started off with the Sawtelle location, and were happy to see it open in Burbank as well. Both locations are cool, with nice staff and tasty food. I usually get 2 items, maybe an extra one to share if I'm super hungry. I always leave happy and satisfied. The food is flavorful and priced approximately along the lines of other similar places. We definitely enjoy Tigawok and recommend giving it a try. ;) read more

When this place first opened we ended up going three times in a row in a week. This place has a chokehold on us. The Orange Peel Chicken and Wagyu Curry were standouts and what I've gotten almost every time I've gone here. Restaurant is very clean and modern. In total it does end up costing more than a Panda Express meal if one were to get the same amount of items, but the quality and flavor have definitely made me come back for more. So happy Tigawok opened in Burbank! We've been waiting for more authentic Chinese food options in the area, and Tigawok really delivered. The space is bright, clean, and surprisingly spacious--plenty of tables! The staff was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they're proud of what they're building here. They explained how everything works (robot-cooked bowls--so cool) and even gave us some tips on best-sellers. We tried a few bowls--mapo tofu, braised pork... every single one was flavorful, satisfying, and shockingly affordable. Seriously, where else can you get legit Chinese mini-bowls like this for under $6? Excited to come back and try more! Burbank needed this. read more

Kind of surprised at all the great reviews, I thought the food was "meh." The crispy chili pork was a bit over fried, too hard for the plastic forks, so use chopsticks. That might slow things down if it's crowded (I went at 2pm on a Thursday). Ambiance is typical fast food with a Japanese industrial feel. I'll update my review if I go back to try other things. So happy Tigawok opened in Burbank! I've been to their Sawtelle location before and this one definitely lives up to the hype. Super quick service (the robot wok is fun to watch), and everything I tried was packed with flavor. Favorites so far: the Hunan spicy beef, cola chicken, and their soup dumplings. The food here is very very good! It's also a sustainability minded restaurant, so the mini container came with a lid and both were reusable so now I have a nice Tupperware! They also provide reusable bags which I love. My only issue is that ordering is a little confusing, but it's very similar to Panda Express's style! (Think plates and bowls style Asian fare). I saw this place on IG and wanted to give it a try. I waited until I was near Burbank since I live pretty far away. Overall, the orange chicken was flavorful, and the rice was nice and fluffy -- not heavy at all. The service was quick, though some items might take a bit longer since they sell out fast. The only downside was the soda machine -- all the drinks were watered down, and there wasn't any real soda, just juice-like flavor. Please fix that, and this place would be a solid go-to spot! read more

I really enjoyed the food at Tigawok--the scrambled eggs and tomato, in particular, was excellent. The chow mein wasn't as greasy as it often can be. My favorite part about this place is the small portions. I often find myself not opting for Chinese/Taiwanese food because it tends to be heavy and greasy, but the small portions here make me feel less guilty, haha. The bruschetta chicken was juicy and flavorful. The pasta with it was light and delicious. The chicken parm was quite good, but the bolognese sauce was the star of the meal. This was one of our favorite meat sauces we've had in quite a while. We finished the meal with a complimentary budino that our server brought to us as first time guests. The butterscotch flavor was light and creamy, so good! It was the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. Service was very good, our primary server was on top of things and the other people helped him out as well. Manager checked on us too. The restaurant is fairly small and was pretty full. From the outside, it's very unassuming but inside was nice and felt cozy.

The pastrami sandwich was delicious and they give a generous amount of pastrami in their sandwiches. The chips that came with it were my favorite. They were freshly fried potato chips. Super crispy and yummy. The king pastrami burger was also delicious! The flavors of the burger all blended well together and they gave a lot of pastrami as well. The clam chowder bowl was flavorful and had the perfect amount of creaminess. Service was excellent! The server came to check in on us and made sure our tables were clear of any finished plates. There is plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors at the restaurant!

I dropped by this spot for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying and well-balanced the meal turned out to be! What I Ordered: A combo tray with: * Steamed White Rice - perfectly cooked, fluffy, and not sticky. * Stir-fried Broccoli & Carrots - fresh and nicely sautéed, maintaining a good crunch without being too oily. * Cabbage & Carrot Stir-fry - simple, lightly seasoned, and a great palate cleanser between bites of heavier dishes. * Kung Pao Chicken - flavorful with a mild kick, loaded with bell peppers and onions. The sauce was rich and slightly sweet. * Crispy Orange Chicken - golden, crispy, and glazed in a sweet-savory orange sauce. It leaned slightly sweet, but not cloying. Highlights: * Portion sizes are generous - I didn't leave hungry. * The food was served hot and fresh. * Everything was neatly packed in biodegradable containers - bonus points for sustainability! Price: Reasonably priced for the variety and amount of food. Definitely a good value for a casual lunch or dinner. Room for Improvement: The orange chicken, while tasty, could've had a bit more zing or citrus sharpness to cut the sweetness. Also, the sauce on some of the dishes was a bit thick - a lighter hand might elevate the meal even more. Would definitely come back to mix and match different sides. Dear Tiga Wok Management, I am writing to express a serious concern regarding food handling practices I observed during my visit to your Burbank location on Monday, September 8th. While at your restaurant, I saw a server wearing gloves and an apron while serving food. I then witnessed the same employee enter the restroom without removing either the gloves or apron. After exiting the restroom, they immediately returned to the food line--still wearing the same gloves and apron--and resumed handling food. Additionally, I observed the employee use a toothpick to eat food directly off the line, which raises further concerns about hygiene and food safety. As a customer, I expect basic food safety protocols to be followed, especially when it comes to preventing cross-contamination. The behavior I witnessed not only violates proper sanitation standards but also puts patrons' health at risk. I hope you take this issue seriously and provide appropriate training or corrective action to ensure this does not continue. I would appreciate a response acknowledging this concern and explaining what steps will be taken to address it. Thank you for your time. read more

I found out about Tigawok after seeing them featured on Heyla News, and I'm so glad I did! This place is honestly a hidden gem. The food is incredible -- the orange chicken is crispy, tangy, and perfectly balanced, and the mini bowls are surprisingly filling for such an affordable price. What really impressed me is how they use robotic woks to cook everything while still keeping that authentic, homemade flavor. You can actually taste the consistency and freshness in every bite. The team there is super friendly too, and it's clear that the technology helps them keep things running smoothly without losing the human touch. I love how clean and efficient the setup is, and the portions are perfect for sharing or mixing and matching a few different dishes. The Mapo Tofu and Wagyu Beef Curry are must-tries! I stopped by the new Tigawok in Burbank a few days after they opened -- it's always exciting to see new spots in the area. I tried the pepper pork, Hunan spicy beef, and a side of cabbage. The pepper pork had a nice balance -- not too salty, and the green pepper gave it a fresh kick. The Hunan beef was definitely on the spicy side (in a good way!) The cabbage was simple but cooked just right. The place was clean, service was friendly, and I liked how fast everything came out even though it was lunchtime. You can tell they're still settling in, but overall it was a solid first visit. I'm curious to try more next time -- maybe the crispy Pork I saw on the menu. read more
