This is a must visit in seattle. Tucked right under the space needle their brunch is one of a kind but you definitely need a reservation. Their Dutch pancakes are mandatory wether savory or sweet. Their brunch on Fri-sun is really great and always busy. Service was wonderful and the parking in the area can be tough but there is plenty do street parking. read more

An amazing little restaurant, that while known for its brunch offerings, serves an amazing dinner - with lots of salads, appetizers and desserts, and a limited selection of main courses. The menu changes frequently, depending on what's in season, so you may not find the same things we ordered. For six of us, with drinks, corkage fees (we brought some of our own wine), appetizers, dinner, dessert, taxes and 25% gratuity it was $500 -- a great value for all the fancy food we got. The fresh raw oysters were delicious. The kohlrabi apple salad was tasty. The beet purée soup was wonderful. The gin martini was just as it should have been. The acorn squash was a tasty starter, sized for sharing. The corkage fee ($20 per bottle) was not unreasonable. The only disappointment with starters were the baked oysters, which though highly recommended by our server were nothing special. For mains, five of us got the duck breast - cooked to order (medium, medium well, etc.), and everyone loved it. The scallops were delicious (though 3 large scallops might not suit those who like a lot of food). The desserts were great: Eton Mess, chocolate cake, profiteroles, ice cream And someone had Heras Crown (a dessert?), but I don't even remember what that was. While visiting Seattle, my daughter and I enjoyed dinner on a Saturday night at Tilikum Place Cafe. It was a very good choice! We thought their food, service and ambience were all great! I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner, Seared Pork Tenderloin with Beet Gnocchi, accompanied by spinach, chanterelles, goat cheese, and nectarine salsa...yummy! My daughter thought her dinner was excellent too. It was Seared Sablefish that accompanied by spice beluga lentil, apple-carrot puree, cider beurre blanc, and shoestring potatoes...SO tasty, a great fish! For dessert we shared the Maple Creme Brulee, which came with candied roasted pecans. That topped off a five-star dinner. Came here for brunch Fri morning right when they opened, we didn't have a reservation but we were able to do walk in since we came so early (they open at 10am!) + I ordered the baked eggs without pancetta and roasted potatoes. My partner got the Savory dutch baby which had pork shoulder and kimchi as well as a side of bacon. Everything tasted amazing! So hot and fresh out of the oven. Both are served in cast iron skillets. + I really liked the curry ketchup that came with the potatoes. Updated review: I hadn't been in since 2020, this place is popular and gets booked out. Tried it on a Friday and got in. I'm so glad to report it's still as good as ever. I'm a long time 15yr customer. The staff was super friendly, they even remembered me after all these years. Food is still top notch. As a staffer once told me "we excel at execution" and that's still true. The side salad was great, vinaigrette was perfectly balanced. A signature dish (IMO) has always been the baked eggs. It did not disappoint this time. Sweet and savory and creamy. So good. Still has the classy vibe but not pretentious. They're booked out online typically weeks in advance but if you call ahead you can maybe get a table by the bar. Or walk in, they do waitlists. I've missed this place, happy to be bacl. read more

Tilikum Place Cafe was a short walk from the Space Needle/Chihuly/MoPOP, so I was worried it would be a tourist trap. Didn't need to worry. Delicious food with friendly service. Ordered their sweet and savory Dutch babies immediately because our waitress told us they took longer to prepare. Their sweet Dutch baby with blood orange curd was a hit, but their savory not as much. Also enjoyed their Tilikum fry up. Baked beans with pork were seasoned perfectly. My fiancé and I went to dinner here last night for New Year's Eve with some friends. It seemed they did two seatings, one around 5-515 and the other around 7-715. We had a reservation for the earlier seating and were sat as soon as we got there. We saw people come and try to get a table but get turned away, so make sure to have a reservation if you come here. The place was busy so service was slow but the staff was very friendly. We chalked it up to being a holiday because our friends (who have been here a bunch) said it usually wasn't so slow. I got a glass of wine to start and my fiancé and friends got cocktails. All of the cocktails were bourbon based and I'm not a fan, so it was disappointing to not be able to order a cocktail I would like. The menu apparently changes often, but it would be nice to have a more well rounded list of cocktail options. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup to start and my fiancé got the curried butternut squash soup. They accidentally brought us two of the squash soups and let us keep the extra order. My friends and fiancé enjoyed the soup (I'm not a fan of curry so I didn't try it) and said it was delicious. My French onion took a while to come but was worth the wait. It was packed with flavor and I enjoyed the bacon in it, which I don't think I've had in French onion soup before. I definitely recommend getting this. For our entrees, my fiancé and I split the double pork chop and the ribeye. The pork chop came with a glaze on it and had a delicious char to it. It also came with veggies and yam dumplings. This dish was great and much better than the ribeye. The ribeye was cooked well but didn't have a ton of flavor and had too much pepper for me. Our friends got the lamb, which they said was great For dessert, we split the profiteroles. They come 6 to an order and are around the size of a golf ball each, so this is definitely a dessert to share. Our friends got peppermint crunch ice cream and a chocolate soufflé, which they said was amazing. We will definitely be back to try more of their dishes and check out their brunch menu, which we heard was amazing. read more

When I came in and asked for my order, the woman at the front said they get so many calls like that in the morning that they don't always get to put the orders in right when the phone calls come in. She said I could sit inside and wait while she put in the order right then, which I didn't mind. When I finally got my order and paid, I noticed the woman working the front gave me a discount for the wait :) I really appreciated the gesture, even though I would've been fine with paying full price. We got a Sweet Dutch Baby, French Onion Soup, and Baked Eggs. The most surprising dish was the Baked Eggs. It was savory and smooth which was totally not how we expected it to be like. The French Onion Soup was also really good, but the Sweet Dutch baby did require us to wait 45 mins for. When it came out, it was a little underwhelming. It wasn't the best thing we've had nor was it a surprising dish, but it was totally worth a try. Overall, the service was great and food was simple and very well seasoned. We walked in and instantly the warm buttery scent of dutch babies filled our noses and were greeted by the friendly hostess and immediately sat at our table (had a reservation). We got both a sweet (classic) and savory (foraged mushrooms) Dutch baby-which was the whole reason we went. Both did not disappoint. We started with French onion soup and baguette with butter. I was pretty full after soup and could only eat a few bites of DB so too the rest home and it did not hold up as well as leftovers. The French onion is pretty expensive and a little underwhelming but it's hard to top Bazille's at Nordstrom for their French onion-so most are a disappointment after theirs. This place is such a gem!! Went with some family for brunch earlier today and we had such a great time!! I didn't even realize this spot is reservation only but they were sweet enough to accommodate the 6 of us after an estimated 30 minute wait (it was not even 10 min btw) around noon. I wish I caught our servers name today cause she was such a sweetheart that I would literally return just to have a cup of coffee with that lovely woman haha anyway let's get into it, we got Sweet Dutch baby- not my favorite bc I don't like lemons or ricotta but everyone else was a fan Savory Dutch baby- delicious! I was going to lead my review by saying Tillikum is an Inuit word meaning "three drowned workers" (a Sea World reference), but I didn't want to end up on the Not Recommended Reviews list this early in the year, so forget I said anything. What's odd is that people come for the Dutch babies, but we weren't crazy about them, maybe because my wife makes them for me about twice a month. But, we did love everything else: the heavily-seasoned roasted potatoes that are slightly overcooked to crusty perfection and served with a (too) tiny cup of masala-like curry ketchup and the cinnamon fry bread with sour cream and a puckery-tart cherry jam (get them both, even if you get the Dutch babies), and the French press coffee, which was the best coffee we had all trip. Now, we went to this cozy cafe with super nice and attentive incredible service (and knew we needed reservations) because Tillikum was mentioned by a bunch of those dumb amateur food blog videos of Belltown/Seattle, like "Wanderlust" or "Travel With Tracy" or "Self-Important Wyatt and Attention-Starved Chrissy Get Fat". They're right. Check this place out. But you don't have to video yourself, saying "mmm" with spit strands while you eat. This is definitely a place you need to visit you go to Seattle. Trust me. Make that reservation and get there about 15 minutes earlier to wait. This is a reservation only place and it is worth every minute that you wait for. Every single thing here was a solid five out of five. I never rate this high, unless my life is changed. My life definitely changed coming here. I ended up getting the TLC breakfast plate, would you allow me to try multiple different options in one pleat. Everything, and I mean everything was cooked with love and immense flavor. My best friend got the Dutch baby and even that was perfection! I really love the view of this place, if you looked outside the window you got to see the space needle and it's literally so freaking cozy in there. Finally had a chance to dine in and boy I was not even in the slightest bit disappointed. I've lived near tilikum for a while and it was a lifesaver during the height of COVID when it comes to weekend brunch. I would order take out from here all the time but never had a chance to dine in. I can't stress enough how delicious their food is, and also affordable. Started off with the oysters, Kumamoto for the evening and the grapefruit vinegar was so light and refreshing. We also got the burrata and green goddess salad. The salad was a bit heavy on the dressing but it was amazing. And the burrata was just incredible. The cheese was the perfect texture and the rhubarb pieces with arugula were great compliments. Finished our meals with the entrees. I got the seared halibut which was seared to perfection and the seasoning was amazing. Partner got the steak and boy that potato gratin was honestly some of the best positives I've ever had. The potatoes were well seasoned and crispy and the plate was a perfect balance of flavors/ textures. I woke up prior to the rest of my travel companions and searched yelp for a breakfast spot near our hotel. The reviews looked promising and I jumped on Open Table and made a quick reservation for 09:00 - opening time. There was one table available. Lucky us! My sister in law and I left the others sleeping back in our room and we walked to this lovely little place. The service was beyond reproach, with a cheerful and charming server who gave us permission to enjoy every morsel we desired! The French press coffee with an amazing start to our morning while we settled in awaiting the delivery of our baby - our Dutch Baby!!! Lump sugar is always a treat, even to someone like me that prefers her bean water like she likes her men - bold, hot, and steamy (what did you think I was going to write?) While waiting for the baby to arrive, we split a baguette and a Brie, walnut, and veggie tart with a perfectly dressed side salad. No regrets on any of the food we picked! It appears the menu changes weekly, but I can not imagine anything unfavorable coming from this kitchen. We savored our coffee and enjoyed a chat after the tart and then - the baby was delivered to our table! Beautifully fluffy and powdered with accompanying lemon and maple syrup. My new favorite brunch spot! I've been here a few times now and it's always so delicious. My favorite items on the menu are the quiche (has smoked salmon in it, which makes it sooo good and unique) and any of the Dutch babies. The coffee and fresh squeezed juice are also so tasty! It's a bit hard to get a seat here, so I'd recommend either coming right when they open or getting a reservation. I've had to make reservations far in advance, but I do keep checking the site if there aren't any available because cancellations do happen, and I've been able to book seats closer to the date because of that.
