My buddy chose this spot for us to meet for drinks and dinner and I'm really glad he did. This comfy Irish pub is a great space and an excellent choice for pub grub while watching a game or hanging out with friends. We started with the boneless buffalo wings (was too hungry and forgot to take a photo). These were a solid option for a starter and we devoured a full order in a blink. Being a blue cheese fanatic, I could not pass up the SPEAKEASY BURGER. This burger was created for me and should be renamed after me. The juicy burger was topped with applewood smoked bacon, loads of bleu cheese, and garlic aioli on thick egg bread. If you love blue cheese like I do, get this burger and you'll have something to daydream about while you're supposed to be working or doing something else productive. Also, they have a very extensive beer list and a full bar to satisfy anyone's desires. As a good Irish pub should be, this is a warm and welcoming place for all to enjoy. Enjoy! read more

The fact that the burger I ordered is dubbed "Little Timmy" is blasphemous. Being the miniature version of the Man v. Food Timmy burger, this thing sure was not little. For a very standard price you get a gigantic burger that is bound to fill you up and satisfy you--the biggest challenge won't be deciding whether or not you like the burger but moreso how to unhinge your jaw wide enough to even consume. Overall I was very satisfied with the food and service here--it's also always a great atmosphere to watch a plethora of sports games, and once it gets late enough this place some of the best music to get lit to. I generally like Timmy O'Toole's. It's simple and reliable and they have a good beer selection. Food is decent. But I think someone needs to retrain staff on customer service. In particular, Mycal. No one can control someone else's parenting. But when you have 3 children aged 3-7 running around and literally screaming, you'd expect the manager would have a word with the family. This wasn't at 2pm...this was at 10:45pm. The family in question was conveniently tucked away in a private room, but their children were coming out and running beyond the door several times. Worse, they were screaming. I was inconveniently seated directly next to that door. The parents were doing nothing to control the kids, but thankfully, this private room had doors. I closed them. Problem solved. It was quiet. The not-to-be bothered parents could continue their socializing and the kids could do their thing without disturbing other guests. Mycal came by about 10 minutes later and opened the doors. I let him know I was the one who had closed them, and I told him why. He said "the doors have to stay open. It's a safety issue. They only get closed if someone rents the room." Soooo...not a safety issue. Instead, a control issue. He decided the comfort of other guests was less important than the screaming kids. I asked him to talk to the family, then. Would he? No. Because "they're kids. It's a restaurant." Wellllll...yes you serve food. But at almost 11pm...it's really a bar...that serves food. Still...there is absolutely no reason you couldn't politely ask the family to control their children, or leave the doors closed. You chose to do nothing - except tell other guests to get over it. I don't know how that kind of judgement can come from someone tasked with management. We weren't the only ones bothered. Others were also asking why kids were running around. Edit: spoke to another manager. Seems that their position is typically not to intervene with misbehaving children. He said he would look into, but didn't seem to differ much in opinion. ‍ read more

I went here tonight with my new friends from work because our friend (DAVID) loves the bears and wanted to watch it at this bar. I did not object. I really enjoy hanging out with my new friends from work; they remind me of my old friends from work. Last weekend I introduced one of my new friends from work to a bunch of my old friends from work and it went super well, but that's a story for another time. Upon walking in I realized that I'd been here before because my boy Scott from training brought his crew here for his bachelor party. I had a good time that night so I expected more of the same. Food was interesting - great nachos, great fries. Wraps were weird. Mostly lettuce. I would almost recommend asking for no lettuce because the people making them would probably realize they need to throw more of the substantial ingredients in. This is my only complaint. Great atmosphere. This dude who must've worked for Miller Light was handing out free Miller Lights. I'm a Coors guy and, while I believe that Coors will win the domestic light beer war, Miller won the battle tonight. Kudos. Only left because the Bears game sucked and I don't like sitting at a table for more than two hours. I'm not in the area often but I would go back. Im so glad this bar is open late and is steps from my business school. I visited for the first time on a Friday evening for happy hour with my friends from school and the specials were a great value and the food and drinks were tasty. The three of us were able to get a table quickly even though it was a Friday after work. The atmosphere is no frills -- wooden booths and dim lights -- but that is exactly on par with what I expected from an Irish-inspired bar. The tables were spaced out to be socially distant and the staff wore masks. I ordered a pineapple vodka and a half order of mild wings to snack on. The drink was good, but the wings really caught my attention. They were hot and crispy with a buttery hot sauce. I can't wait to order them again. My bill only came out to $10 before tax and tip, which was extremely affordable for a quick happy hour downtown. The only downside is that service was very slow, but it was a Friday evening and busy. I didn't find this place until the last day of our visit to Chicago and I am so mad at myself especially since it was right down the block. I really loved the happy hour and specials outside of happy hour this pub offers. This is a really good place to grab a beer or cocktail and sit back. Jorge was our server and he was very friendly and patient. We wanted to blow time until our flight and he didn't rush us at all and checked in on us consistently. I believe they are known for their wings and rightly so. Very good food and reasonable portions and good drinks. If your near the area I would recommend highly. T.O.T. Food has hit rock bottom. I stayed away from dry, chewy chicken and ordered the salmon on my salad and that was a huge mistake. It was overcooked and not edible. Absolutely destroyed. My husband's salad was to come out with ranch and it had nothing on it so he had to wait for someone to bring out the ranch. We have decided to only grab a drink at this bar as the food is just awful. If they could step up the quality and food service that would bring it back to its former glory. Just terrible service all around. They were pretty busy when my friends and I showed up and maybe it was the crew's first day working in a service industry, I really don't know. They didn't appear to know how to handle a busy night. At first, the host told us to take whatever table we could find. So, when folks got up, we took that table. The wait staff, apparently wanting to ensure minimal tip, immediately told us we couldn't sit at any table and threatened to kick us out of we did sit at a table. It was challenging to understand the motivations there. I assume they were unaccustomed to having a lot of patrons. The owners should really retrain the Thursday night staff to have a better mind toward customer service. They left us with no options other than to leave the establishment and go somewhere else. This place has a lot of potential, so I will share (as always) the positives and the negatives. It's downstairs in a basement and has a very warm, cozy, typical Irish pub feel. We were staying at the hotel down the street, so the first night we came in was for a late night bite (only place that was open) and there was a very active happy hour going on. It was cool to see a place filled with young professionals getting drinks together, it's probably a great spot for networking during the week....especially Thursdays. It gets a little sleepier on the weekends, leaving me to assume it's more of a "yuppie watering hole" than anything. We visited once on Thursday and once late on Saturday night. Both times I got the basket of wings and fries. The "FAMOUS" wings are....ok. They're a bit dry, seem frozen. Definitely in need of more sauce. And the "1 lb" of wings? It's 6 wings LOL. Churching it up a bit on size. The food was fine, I wouldn't recommend coming here unless it's late and this is the only place open (which I think happens a lot in this area of town). Now the service is the deal-breaker/deal-maker. I read in the reviews that the service was terrible, offensive, etc. When we came here on Thursday night, my server was absolutely lovely! She was attentive and kind, everything a server should be. However, when we came here on Saturday night....we were everything short of being verbally abused. No one would seat us, so we sat down in a very open section. After waiting for a long time, the server came by and said, "I'm not serving you, you sat yourself" in an extremely rude tone with literally no suggestions of how we could be helped. It took some fenagling but we finally got seated in another section where we were begrudgingly served. Like I said, I would not come back here unless you have no other options. You get better service at the Taco Bell Cantina down the street on a weekend night. read more

Food is nothing crazy, but it's good. The beer selection is nice, but not too big. Things are reasonable, waitstaff is great and the place was pretty clean. I didn't have it, but one of our party guests said the chili was really good. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was just fine. Someone else got the hummus plate and it looked great.
