2 stars is too low, 3 stars is too high. The food wasn't bad, it was just... so... bland. Also, taco Tuesday sucks. We could only order tacos & apps, not the full menu. We had the beef, pork, and shrimp tacos... not a single one was "yum! Glad I got this!"... & also, even adding the raw onions and cilantro, I wish there was salt and pepper on the table. Food was good. Especially the Goat Cheese Salad. Service was not. I get that if you don't have reservations the customer might not have options. However, if you offer the bar or patio seating you should still expect service. Once our food arrived I don't feel our waiter thought about us again. He did bring us ice well after we had asked for it but we never got any water or the waiter checking on us after that. I had to go in to ask for to go boxes and also see about getting cashed out. The wait for the boxes was so long I was on my way back in again to try to cash out on my own w/the bartender. Saw the waiter deliver food before checking us out. Got several apologies from the waiter but it was followed w/"I've been really busy." Well, you were only busy inside because we didn't see much of you. If we had had better service I would have given more stars. Might go back sometime but service keeps it from being a top priority on our rotation. read more

The location and ambiance are great, and I would rate them both 4-5 stars. Sadly, the prices just aren't acceptable. Here's an example: Casamigos Reposado / tequila / Jalisco / 40% ABV / $7/$14 I ordered a shot of it thinking it'd be $7, with $14 being the price of a double. However, $14 is the price of a single shot, with $7 being half a shot. What even is half of a shot? I understand this is a tequila bar and I expect to pay more, 3 shots here is the same price as a 750ml bottle at Total Wine. That's just too much of a difference. read more

First time dining here with a friend. It was easy to book a reservation through Resy online. We ordered the crispy octopus, basket of empanadas, large format grilled vegetables which were accompanied with warm tortillas, beans, pickled vegetables and salsa on the side, and surprisingly this was more than enough food for us. My husband and I had our first experience with Tinie's and it was a great one. We decided at the last minute to go for Taco Tuesday. We had a great experience from the atmosphere to the food and drinks. Brandon was our waiter and bartender. We never wanted for anything. Service was excellent. We had the guacamole, goat tacos and chicken tacos, a house margarita and my husband had Sol beer which is hard to find in a restaurant. It was all good. The chicken tacos were my favorite. This is an upscale Mexican restaurant, mostly driven by the prices and small portions. I sampled some of the small plates including the guacamole trio, ceviche, and octopus. I would say the octopus was the best appetizer we got. The bacon jam guacamole had a very unique flavor profile but didn't seem complicated in nature. This is the second time I have visited Tinie's in the period of 1 month. The first time our party of four arrived we were asked if we had reservations. We did not, but were seated rather quickly and were blown away by the food and the helpful service. Drinks were served quickly and although we stuck with the beer/Mezcal special, there were lots of unique drinks also. This food was really good, even my picky 15 YO son loved it and we just family styled our order, which is easy to do here. Not sure what makes the chicken so good, it's just chicken right? However, it is one of the best chicken dishes I have had. Lots of pickled and companions sides to these dishes which compliments them very well. This last Friday we came again, to attend another show at Tulips and this time there were 10 of us. My friends had heard me bragging about this place, so they wanted to find out if what I had said was true. I called up and spoke to Rick, the manager and he got us set up for a party of 10. My friends loved the place, the service and especially the food. Our server Ariel was on top of everything all night and dish after dish came out perfectly. As others have mentioned the Guacamole trio is great, the Octopus is fantastic, tender and perfectly cooked. The short braised ribs were delicious and went way too fast and the chicken was as good as I remember it. If you are looking for a unique dining experience, try this place. The management is great, the servers are attentive and helpful and the food is fabulous. You won't find a more helpful guy than Rick, so give him a call! read more

I stopped by here to grab drinks on the rooftop for drinks and appetizers. The rooftop is very laid back and the cocktail options are great. I ordered the mezcal cocktail which was very refreshing and not sweet at all. It complimented to ceviche really well. The waitress was uninterested, put out, unfriendly, inattentive, and overall should consider a career in non customer facing roles. The food was uninspiring and as basic as can be. Beyond expectation! Called Tinies the same day we were going to reserved a table for 12 to celebrate few birthdays and it was a Saturday they were able to accommodate us and we called to change time and they kindly changed for us! As soon as we arrived they took our orders and everything came so quickly overall the food was excellent the flavors exactly what we were looking for! Our first visit to Tinies, we were invited by friends and we're lucky enough to sit on the rooftop patio in the evening. We started with several appetizers and the guacamole and chips were fabulous. Be warned some of the sauces that came with the other apps were a little spicy - but I don't like very spicy food. We ordered one of each entrée on the menu so we could all mix and share. The pork and the rotisserie chicken is probably the best I have ever eaten! Great new spot with a great new vibe. We have been back for brunch and it was just as wonderful as dinner, but be aware the dinner menu options are not available for brunch/lunch. A bit disappointed. I got a recommendation from a local magazine to visit a recently opened restaurant in FW. We reserved a table and arrived bit early to see if we could be seated on a rooftop to admire Fort Worth downtown. One of the 3!!! hostesses (Why 3? the restaurant is not even that big) said that there was a table available upstairs but another hostess murmured something and we got seated on the main floor. The ambiance is simple but tasteful, looks like they have a big drinks selection. As far as the menu is was short which made it easy to choose. The prices are a bit on a higher side but when you get a dish you see why, the presentation is artful and the taste is good (empanadas though did not impress me) Overall, the restaurant looks okay, the menu has interesting choices but nothing extraordinary. Based on our experience I don't think we'll be coming back. read more

This was our first time visiting. I saw on another review that they said no one had masks on - However, everyone had masks on so they have definitely changed that and there is hand sanitizer when you first walk in. We called and made a reservation and when we arrived someone was at the hostess stand so we waited outside until they came out. We got there a little early before our reservation and headed upstairs to the bar which two seats were together and all of the others (paired by 2) were spaced out by 6 feet. There is an upstairs outside patio which is first come first serve. However, all of the tables are really small so if you plan to enjoy your meal out there I feel like you're going to be squished. We did eat outside but downstairs is really the best place to eat because the tables are larger even the two tops. Upstairs, outside tables were spaced apart but I felt like it was still too crowded. Now, onto the food we ended up getting the large-format pork which came with tortillas, salsa's and very spicy onions - be warned they are very spicy!! We asked for the mollis sauce that would normally come over the pork to be served on the side and we were glad that we did so we could try the other sauces and experience each flavor. My husband has declared this his new favorite restaurant granted we aren't getting out much right now but it has a cool vibe. The bartender upstairs told me that he's not a regular. He said when they were originally going to open they train the staff and had a cocktail list of about 18 drinks but now they only have three cocktails because no one that they trained came back. They do have a pretty extensive wine list and that's the route we went. We enjoyed a bottle of the Malbec recommended by the bartender. Prices are reasonable. Our pork was enough to share between the two of us and be plenty full and was the most expensive thing in the menu at $29. Guacamole is about $11 and the fancy guacamole I think was $14. I want to try to ceviche when we return, I think that was around $15. Go check it out I think you'll enjoy it for a night out. read more

My friends and I literally stumbled upon this place. We went in on a whim just wanting to check out that rooftop patio. We ended up at the bar drinking Tres Amigos. Once we moved to a table, we ordered the empanadas, the roasted carrots, and the rotisserie chicken. All the dishes tasted fresh, and perfectly prepared. We spent sunset on the rooftop with cocktails and appetizers. The view and the Texas breeze made it very comfortable. Appreciated the multiple oscaliting fans. My only criticism is the seating... I felt very low to the ground on the short stools. The empanadas are delish, the guac trio is a must have, and the paloma is perfection. For dinner we moved downstairs to the main dining room for our main course, the bone in rib eye was everything. For dessert we liked the plate of the mexican brownie. Our daughter and son in law were in from out of town and we wanted a great experience with great food - Tinies delivered both. We arrived at 4 PM when they first opened and there was not a soul on the patio. We had our small 7 pound Chihuahua with us who is a service dog on a pad on one of the chairs and they told us she could not be on a chair and to put her on the ground. She wasn't actually sitting on the chair there was a pad between her and the chair and the host/waiter, whatever, he " stated she cannot be up in a chair so we left. If they don't get more dog friendly they're gonna lose a lot of customers. What is the difference between sitting on a chair and 2 feet down on the ground if there is a pad separating her from the chair? Ridiculous, I would advise not going there if you are a dog lover! read more

I absolutely can't wait to come back! I was seating on the rooftop patio which was very intimate and absolutely a must for date night!! I started with the One-T cocktail which was insanely delicious. Not too fruity and not too much of an overwhelming liquor taste either. A fine balance. We had the Trio de Guacamole and Chicken Empanadas. I can't even begin to describe how fantastic both appetizers were. The empanadas were perfectly cooked--not too crispy and packed with flavor. The salsa roja accompanying it was quite good. The guac trio though... oh man there wasn't nearly enough! The chipotle bacon jam one in particular was my favorite and to die for. The presentation for all dishes are a delight to the eyes just as much as the flavors are to your tongue. We decided on the Grilled Vegetables and Barbacoa Fajitas. Both were cooked to Heavenly perfection. By this point I was getting quite full and I very much wish I had more room in my stomach to eat more of the barbacoa. Just left Tinie's and couldn't get to my car fast enough to tell y'all how awesome this place is. The owners/managers are heavily involved, that's clear from the time you walk in. We had the pork large plate tacos, I was surprised with every component... how tasty and well thought out it was. The casita marg is the best drink I've had in months. The ambiance was inviting and the upstairs deck has the prettiest view of downtown Fort Worth. We elected to sit at the bar for dinner and we enjoyed excellent service and conversation.
