I can't speak for the few people here that had bad reviews, but the place was a gem find for me, and when I bring it up to other people, most say they know and love the place as well. Excellent food! I'm a frequent luncher here as the food can't be beat! I also often order sushi for dinner and it is always fresh and delicious. Try the Spicy Tuna Bowl at lunch or the Beauty and the Beast roll. Don't let the setting deter you--it is in a shopping center that is partially empty in not the best area. My friend and I are regular sushi eaters, and this place really was the biggest let down. We had the crazy roll, crunchy bomb, and a spicy tuna. The tuna was not fresh at all, way too much seafood dynamite on the crunchy bomb roll and the fried tempura on the outside of the roll was too greasy tasting, and the crazy roll was just plain gross. I've never had sushi like this, or ever leave bad reviews but I thought it would help out regular sushi eaters to avoid going here. I saw good reviews and figured to give it a try. Crab rangoon's had curry it in and tasted nothing like your normal crab rangoon's but they were alright. Miso soups were good. Such a shame I brought my friend here for her birthday and now she has no appetite to go anywhere else. To top it off, the waitress was completely rude and were trying to repeatedly make us feel really bad about getting our disappointment of sushi and said she's going to have to pay for it. Stopped in for a late lunch. Greeted immediately and provided our menus. There is a separate sushi menu and a lunch menu. They offer bento box meals for lunch which is what we both ended up getting. $12 per meal. I had chicken panang curry and he had chicken pad thai. Bother were 'thai hot' but were mildly hot. It was NOT spicy enough. I was very clear when I ordered I wanted it extremely hot, very hot, thai hot. But it wasn't. It was still very good though and the chicken was cooked perfectly. WE also had 4 small pieces of a california roll. 3 sashimi and 3 suhi. Also a large helping of wasabi. His also came with a spring roll. All sushi was delicious. We could not finish either helping since it came with a yellow salad and rice soup so we took it to go. It was just as delicious as left overs. She kept our waters filled. She brought our check when we were finished. And she even provided us a small container for our wasabi soy sauce mixture. It was A LOT of food for $12. Basically 2 meals each. If we go again I would order the lunch panang curry for $8 and he would order the bento box and we would split the sushi. The restaurant was clean. The bathroom was clean. Service was good. Nice private parking lot. Well done. Had they of served it very/thai/extremely hot I would have given it a 5 star review. read more

Great food but slow service. The Panang curry is awesome. We generally get a new sushi dish to try every time. The traditional dishes aren't too traditional so my kids wont eat here. We still enjoy a quite dinner here a couple times a month. read more

Hubby & i were looking for sushi so did not try the Thai food. We'll do that next time. As other reviewers noted, this is not a very fancy place. We sat at the sushi bar. The sushi chef didn't engage us like other places do, but the waitresses were helpful and service was quick. I had the miso soup which was very good. Hubby had the squid salad which was also yummy. Lots of tempura rolls on the menu for those that like their sushi cooked (I do not). We tried the sashimi and a roll and by that time, had plenty. Very satisfied. Only complaint: very limited choices of wines and only by the glass. Woodbridge Chardonnay is not one of my favorites. read more

Very disappointing. We ordered the drunken noodle with chicken and spicy basil rice with shrimp and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon was a bit different in that I think it had turmeric in the cream cheese. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. The other two items were absolutely flavorless and the vegetables that were in them were cut so large it was unappealing and they were pretty much raw. Thai food is a favorite cuisine of my husband and I, so we're a bit picky! I was very excited to find a local place that offers Jungle Curry, which can be hard to find. I ordered tom yum soup and the curry, which is my typical order. The soup was awful, it had a very weird fishy and almost chemical taste that I have never experienced when ordering this dish. I ate the chicken out of it, but left the broth. The Jungle Curry was much different than I've ever had. It lacked a variety of vegetables - just the standard broccoli, carrot and a few mushrooms/pieces of cabbage. I ordered it with tofu, which I was very disappointed to see they fried first then put it in the dish. I don't like fried tofu to begin with, and this added more oil to an already very oily (which is not common) sauce. My husband ordered the coconut soup and enjoyed it, but was less than thrilled with his Drunken Noodles. He said they lacked flavor - although he did eat his leftovers the next day and said that it tasted better, perhaps the sauce soaked in or something. It wasn't so awful that I'd say I'll never eat it gain, but I can safely say I'd opt for another restaurant that offers jungle curry first (if I can find one!). read more

We were looking for Sushi in the Clearwater area, the 1st one we came across in a fancy condo area had a wait, then we stumbled on this one and we were pleasantly surprised! The sushi was AMAZING! We had about 8 different rolls and they were all wonderful! We will definitely go back next time we are in the Clearwater ,Florida area again! The Pad Thai and Fried Rice were really good too! Three friends and I went here for dinner on a Saturday night. I called ahead for reservations. We arrived at our scheduled time and they were not ready for us. They did get us a table within 10 minutes. This place is super tiny, so I expected to have decent service. They did not appear to be understaffed in the front of house, as there were 3 waitresses and there are only about 15 tables in the place. The service was average, at best. All four of our dinners came out at different times. I had sushi that was ok. My friends had Thai offerings and they said they were good. Overall, an ok experience.
