I'm glad to see that Tori has switched over to an AYCE menu! I always thought that their half-roll ordering would be a great venue for trying out multiple rolls and sides. The food still tastes just as good as before. They've changed the menu slightly but my go-to rolls are still there. The waitress was very helpful in introducing us to the new ordering system, and we worked out the kinks pretty quickly. We came in at around 2pm on a Friday, so ordering was quick and the food came out just as fast. I saw some people coming in wanting to order a la carte, but the waitress said they weren't able to do that at the moment. I know this might be a rough transition to a new system so I hope people will give them a chance to figure it out. Overall, the food is still great and I'm happy I can try some of their sides I've been wanting to try, but now it comes with all the rolls that I can double and triple order! I've been here before and but unfortunately.....!!!!!! Hello, I recently tried to place an order online for pick up on 7/26 2:30p. Unfortunately the website and app said you were closed. I called to try to make a phone order and the person that answered said they only take online orders. They kindly instructed me to "scroll to the bottom of the website and press order" to place an order. Didn't work. At this point my mother had arrived at the restaurant to pick up the order so I called her and told her to put me on speaker so I can translate and then she can pay to make the process easier. One of your staff members "Sam" refused to allow me to translate for my mother and basically refused to take her order. I don't understand the complication and hostility as I was willing to place the order and my mother pay in person. I really hope you see what I'm upset about and hope this doesn't occur again. We decided to try a new AYCE sushi spot instead of heading to one of our usuals on Friday evening. We saw that Tori Tori had a new AYCE menu and the pictures looked great. We were immediately greeted upon arrival, and were explained the menu. They are currently on a new, all you can eat only, menu with a fixed price. The hostess explained the ordering process very deeply. If anything, it was almost a little overwhelming, but they were helpful. There are certain menu items (premium items and hotpot) that you need to order through your waiter while you order the rest on the app. At first, it was a little difficult, and we also had some errors in our online ordering table, but we got it mostly sorted out. The menu has a fairly good selection of nigiri and rolls. There is a solid selection of appetizers as well. The menu offers the premium sashimi with a limit of 3 pcs per person. At the time, they also had hotpot dishes included in the menu. As far as AYCE sushi goes, the quality of the fish at Tori Tori was almost all fantastic. The yellowtail and salmon were some of the best I've had at an all you can eat restaurant. The tuna was ok, a little chewy, except for the bluefin sashimi which was great. As for the fried foods, if that's something you like to order at AYCE sushi, I'd keep it limited. It's all fresh and fairly well executed, but it felt like their oil might have been a little bit old or they were frying on too low of a temperature. All of our fried food were quite dark, oily, and had a bit of a fryer oil flavor. That being said, it was all still enjoyable. We only got one roll, which was a dynamite scallop type roll. The roll was ok, felt like it had a bit too much crab which tends to be a common thread at AYCE places. Our one gripe with it was that they seemed to toast/torch the whole roll rather than just the top if that makes sense. It was kind of hot throughout which made for a weird eating experience. But also the rolls are all mostly 4 pieces which is great for being able to try them without filling up. The hotpot was a surprising thing to have on the menu, but at the end of the meal we decided to split one. It was actually quite good. It was nice to have a warm and fresh cooked dish to round off the meal of raw fish and fried apps. I think Tori Tori is definitely a great option for AYCE sushi in Orange. Clearly they are still in the beginnings of implementing this menu and there are a few things that need to be sorted out/streamlined. I don't think the ordering system, especially with how much explanation it requires, is sustainable. Even the menu looked like it needed some refinement. Some things were missing pictures and didn't match the paper menu. They also didn't offer miso soup in any capacity which felt weird for a sushi restaurant (and I know they had it on the menu before implementing the AYCE). Besides any small road bumps, I think the flavor trumps all of that. I'll definitely be back sometime for AYCE sushi in the future. read more

Sadly, Tori Tori has switched to a mandatory all-you-can-eat menu and removed all previous menu options. They used to be the best because you could order 4-piece rolls, so this transition is counter to what made them so unique and great before. Unfortunately, it doesn't make sense to come to Tori Tori any longer if there is pressure to eat all I can eat to get value for the price. We used to come to Tori Tori because of quality, not quantity. I wish the establishment and wonderful staff all the best, but the new menu is more expensive and is less relaxing & fun. What fresh and tasty food! I initially visited before the AYCE menu and brought along a big table of friends to try this out. The AYCE instructions/limitations were a little confusing at first but you order through a QR code. Simple enough. A stand out mention is they offer Shabu as a part of their AYCE menu!!! Shared between four was perfect. Whatever noodles are in the pot are fantastic. The shrimp pop is an excellent appetizer. The hand rolls are thin but mighty. I actually quite like that the portions/sizes lean a bit smaller so I can enjoy multiple rounds without tapping out earlier. read more

I couldn't order my food to-go, i had to use door dash or Uber Eats only . Huh?! Then the prices. I almost passed out. What used to be $8 for my favorite roll has now doubled . This BOGO deal is $40. Anytime we stay near Disney, I always try to go outside of the resort areas to eat. Found this small place and was pleasantly surprised. It's not very far from Disney, but far enough from the crowds. First, the service was great. They were very nice and attentive. It was pretty slow, but it was Sunday on a holiday weekend. We ordered several sushi rolls and a pork katsu. The flavors were all delicious. The spicy scallops hand roll was great and they didn't hide it under krab or any other fillers. It was a little spicier than I expected and it was delicious. What I most appreciated was I was able to order more rolls for variety because an order was 4 pieces. The price reflected the amount and so you really could try different rolls and not pay $15-20 for each. The restaurant was cozy and tastefully decorated. They still have a sushi bar, which I always love as an option. We will definitely keep this place on the list when we are in the area. read more

New ownership and unfortunately, we won't be coming back, which is sad because we used to be regulars. The new ordering system made for a frustrating experience from start to finish. We had to check in at a kiosk and wait to be seated even though there were only two tables occupied. Then we were told to scan a QR code and place our own order. The menu was confusing, and after our appetizers came out, we waited 45 minutes with no sushi. A server finally asked if we had ordered anything else... yes, through the QR system you told us to use. To top it off, we spent the entire meal swatting away gnats, no one apologized for the delay, and we waited forever to get our check. You would think they would've at least comped our drinks or given us the multiple appetizers they mistakenly brought out for the inconvenience. We left still hungry even though it was supposedly "all you can eat" and ended up eating Taco Bell afterward. This place used to be one of our favorite sushi spots...sad that we won't be coming back anytime soon. read more

I've seen this place many times, but always passed it by as I know my spots that I enjoy in this price range. However, I decided to finally give this place a try and I'm so glad I did! I got the Tori Special (which, for some odd reason can't be ordered online) but I called to place the order. I got the salmon train for my four piece roll when I brought it home and took my first bite, it wasn't an amazing experience. The fish was nice and tender with great flavors and the rice was seasoned perfectly. Everything tasted amazing and I felt full, but not stuffed. I came on a weekday evening with some friends, and we all felt the same way. The rolls tasted similar to what you'd get at a mediocre AYCE sushi spot: basic fillings, basic sauces, and fish that was just okay. I've been a regular customer for the past two years and have brought so many friends and family here because I've absolutely loved this place. Unfortunately, I'm really disappointed with the recent changes, especially the new all you can eat format, check-in process, and ordering system. It doesn't feel genuine at all. The service and experience were great before, and one of the reasons we kept coming back was because we could simply order the items we loved. The service was great, and it was quiet since it's a Monday at 4pm. The location is small and cozy. I liked that the rolls were 4 pieces since that meant we could try more than usual. The rolls were good, rolls are usually hit or miss with me since they're normally too saucy. The 3 we got were good and had diff flavors (sexy Hawaiian, monster roll, and unagi xo). This place is soo sweet and they do half portion rolls but rather big pieces. I definitely recommend coming here if you want nigiri ** its not all you can eat. But the thickness of the fish cuts was PRESENT and tasted relatively fresh. My rolls were good and none of them tasted too heavy or oily or broke apart. This is an takeout experience. SIL has a baby and all she wants is some sushi. I suggest here and order by phone. Things on the internet and what they actually have changes apparently. Anyways, the girl who answered is nice and pleasant enough. We get there to pick up the food and our stuff is not ready. Ok, fine but, our raw sushi is just sitting there on the hostess area. We wait a good 15 minutes or so. My husband freaked out and so he only ate he cooked stuff. I didn't get sick but, it def was questionable. Also, while we were in there, she needed help. There were only a few table but, she had to have been new. People were not getting their drinks. She was answering the phone, seating people, taking their orders, etc.. My daughters and I ate about $35 worth of food but was still charged $107 after asking to pay for the small amount we had eaten. 90 minute is the policy time limit with only one waitress and a 10 piece order limit for a table of three. Was wondering why some of the basic rolls were ridiculously inexpensive. Salmon lover was $8.75 and tuna lover was $8.5. The rolls are kid sized, and even for kids, it's not enough. They are half rolls - only 4 pieces. So you'd need to order a double order to get a whole roll- which is no longer cheap at all. The rolls did have a good amount of fish and less rice, so that was a plus. My tuna had the white membrane still in the fish, which I had to get rid of. Free parking. We are from NorCal and come to SoCal quite often. We came in March 2024 and loved it and so as soon as we drove into town today we can straight here. The fish is amazing and just melts in your mouth!
