The most random find, but oh so good!!!! We were visiting friends across the street at Travelodge when I looked across the street and see Ramen and a coffee shop. With 20 mins til closing, we ran across the street. Although they weren't taking any more dine-in's, we were still able to fo takeout. Truly a gem! The food was delicious! Portions were a great value for the price. Flavor fantastic!

We stopped by for a July 4th early dinner before the festivities started. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was cozy and it was not crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We stopped in because per Google its great for Ramen. We ordered some Gyoza, chicken karaaaga, the curry ramen and chicken yakisoba. Everything was great. What really stuck out was the chicken karaaga it was fried to perfection. The curry ramen was flavorful and the broth was light and balanced. Overall great food and I would definitely go back!

The ramen broth was not very seasoned or flavorful. But the appetizers were good! The waiter was nice but not very engaged. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was easy going.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a great little spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It feels a little like you're eating in the basement of a hotel, but the food is good and comforting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is super. You can either order at the front with a menu on the wall or with a QR code at a table. They have beer and sake and tea. We had the pork katsu and the veggie ramen. Both were delicious and filling. He pork could have had some veggies which would have given more flavor. Your bill which you pay when you order includes tip so it's done. They serve a little container of ice cream at the end of the meal which is fun.

Highly recommend this spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself is very quiet and comfortable, which made the whole experience really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the chicken wings and they were fried perfectly. Very crispy, not oily or greasy at all, and the sauce was delicious. The katsudon was good, and I really liked the beef yakisoba as well. Service was very good and the food quality for the price is surprisingly high. Definitely a great value. I will come back to try the ramen next time.

In a city that boast thousands of amazing restaurants, Torraku Ramen stands out among the best! I tried the Tonkatsu Ramen while my husband tried the Katsu Sandu. The ramen broth was rich and creamy and the noodles provided a nice light contrast. I ordered the pork shoulder instead of belly and it was tender and delicious. I was especially pleased with the amount of pork. The onions and ginger provided a fresh balance to the overall flavor profile. My husband was satisfied with tasty simplicity of the Katsu Sandu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Service was friendly and efficient aire plenty of indoor seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well done Torraku!

This is a slightly tucked away ramen spot that is worth checking out. There's not too many ramen options in the Marina. tonkotsu super paitan ramen: B+ Broth tastes quite rich. Loved the pork belly and soft boiled egg as they were super tender and delicious. Would have liked more. The noodles are decent but I would prefer slightly chewier. Service is friendly but I'm not a fan of the automatic gratituity since you also have to pay before you get your food.

This place has really good ramen! During my visit to SF, we found this restaurant and without a doubt, if I go back to the city, I would eat here again. The ramen was delicious and full of flavor, and we also ordered some gyozas that were very tasty. The service was excellent. The young Man who served us explained the menu in detail and gave us helpful recommendations. As a nice extra, the restaurant gives a free ice cream at the end of the meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is very cozy and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a calm meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you like good ramen and are in the area, don't hesitate to go.

Carload of teens, enjoying a drive through the City, and everyone was craving ramen. Headed through Union street and over Van Ness to Torraku. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Small place with wild wall art![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They told us upon entry that menus could be accessed with phones with QR codes on the wall. Of course, my phone wouldn't let me order online, only see the menu, which was quite frustrating. I used one of the kids phones to order, but would have rather had a menu. We ordered edamame, chicken karaage for appetizers. The chicken was unbelievably delicious!! So crunchy and great flavored coating, with tender thigh meat. We also had the chicken Katsu Don with rice, and two Paitan ramens and one Shoyu ramen. The broth on the Paitan Ramen was so flavorful, and the roast pork on mine, very tender. The others had pork belly and there were no complaints. They loved every bite. We were even given a sweet treat of homemade pistachio ice cream at the end of the meal. Would definitely come back for ramen, and chicken, too, but will ask for a menu next time.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute place, went for lunch on a Saturday and it was not too busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The edamame soy nuggets were an interesting texture but loved the broth, seemed to be the same as the vegan miso ramen broth. Vegan miso ramen was great, super chewy noodles and very flavorful broth. Really enjoyed it. The soy chashu was an interesting texture which my non vegan dining partner liked (a little meaty for me). They also gave us free orange sorbet after the meal which was super nice. Would go back!

I've ordered from **Torraku Ramen** two nights in a row now, and both dinners were fantastic. Last night I tried the happy hour menu, which is an incredible deal. For about $15, I got edamame and a chicken katsu sandwich--enough food for dinner and then a second meal later. The sandwich was perfectly stacked with a crispy, expertly seasoned cutlet. It came with shredded cabbage and sesame dressing packaged separately, which I loved. I tossed them together and even layered the salad on top of the sandwich. The dressing was creamy, rich, and almost decadent--exactly how I like my salads. Tonight I went for the curry ramen with pork belly, and as someone who considers ramen one of my ultimate comfort foods, this bowl blew me away. Instead of a heavy curry paste, the broth was lightly curry‑flavored, balanced with dashi on the side. The portions were incredibly generous--tons of noodles, plenty of pork belly, and more broth than I've ever received from a ramen shop (most places are stingy with it). I savored every drop. This was also the first time I've had the option to order pork belly instead of chashu, and I couldn't have been happier. Pork belly is indulgent, fatty, and delicious--perfect for a night when dieting is off the table. Bonus points for the crispy garlic and chili garlic sauce on the side, which elevated the whole experience. Finally, a shout‑out to **Ben**, who took my order. He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, walking me through the options and ingredients with ease. His customer service made the experience even better. **Five stars all the way.** Torraku Ramen has won me over--I'll definitely be back (probably tomorrow night!).

Staff is nice! We went to this place to try something new, mediocre food the pork and egg is really good but you can tell the noodles are instant. The broth is ok but its not great to the point you want more or you want to be able to come here again, for $45 i am disappointed. The ice cream was the best part.

Another good meal at Torraku. The tonkatsu ramen is my favorite, with the miso broth in close second. The chashu is super tender, and the pork belly is fattier, also very tender. Karage just as yummy as I remember it. $20 for a bowl of ramen. You now order and pay on your phone via QR code taped to the table. 15% gratuity is automatically charged to your order. They do have happy hour prices at certain times.

We are writing to express our strong appreciation for the exceptional Umami Creamy Tan-Tan-Men soup…read moreand to respectfully request its permanent return to the menu. This dish stands out as one of the most memorable and flavorful offerings we have experienced. The rich, creamy broth delivers a perfectly balanced umami depth, harmoniously combined with subtle heat and aromatic spices that create an indulgent yet refined dining experience. Both my partner and I were thoroughly impressed by its complexity and comforting warmth, and we have continued to crave it long after the winter season. The Umami Creamy Tan-Tan-Men soup represents a true highlight of your culinary repertoire. We believe it deserves a lasting place on the regular menu, where it can be enjoyed year-round by loyal patrons and new guests alike. Its removal has left a noticeable gap, and we are confident that reinstating it as a signature item would be met with great enthusiasm. Thank you for creating such an outstanding dish. We eagerly await its return and look forward to ordering it on our next visit.

While it is somehow still not as concentrated as San Mateo (in terms of ramen shops within walking distance), I do appreciate that there is an abundance of them such that you don't have to desperately line up for 1 hour just for a bowl of soup. Hinodeya is a mainstay at this point. It's likely not even exciting to the locals, and nobody makes a special trip for them. There are multiple locations all over the city, and the Japantown one is one of the nicer locations with outside seating that isn't super crammed. They have a lot of different broth options here, but the shop is mainly known for their dashi (light seafood based) broth, and it is actually quite good with a lot of umami and freshness. Whenever I'm hungry but have no patience, I tend to wander into Hinodeya knowing that the ramen would hit the spot. Is it the best ramen? That's up to you, but it is definitely one of the most available in the city, and much better than the average in this nation.

Decided to try the Happy hour at this Japanese place and was blown away…read more Its a small place, maybe 8 tables tops squeezed into this narrow space but it was fantastic. Gretted when we entered, we slid into one the few open tables. The decor was charming, and we were quickly gretted by our server with menus and water. My sister and I split some appetizer items so we could try various items, and every single dish was a taste sensation. The gyoza was crisp on the outside while packed with a savory meat, drizzled with sauce. The Karaage was tender chicken encased in a light fried pankostyle casing, also drizzled with a sauce, and the flavor, each bite was satisfying without being too filling. The Kabocha Kor, were panko fried pumpkin patties with a tonkatsu style sauce that brought the taste buds to a more earthier place . The Tokoyaki, were tender fried octopus balls in a sauce that I would have been happy to hunker down with a large bowl of and just crush, easily my favorite bite, which is saying something as no bute was bad . We closed with an order of Hotate, which was a grilled scallop skewer. Somewhere between sea and bay scallops in size, they were an awesome cap to the dining experience. With a this, I washed it down with a peach-weizen beer which was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. Every dish was fantastic in flavor, sauces, and texture. We started off with the Mekyabetsu (Brussels sprouts), Ba-Ra (pork belly), and Kobe (beef). The Brussels sprouts were my fav starter, and the sauce paired so well with it. The Ba-Ra was pretty good, but nothing amazing, and same for the Kobe, which I found to be a bit bland. We also split the Hokkaido Miso ramen. The broth had a great flavor, and the pork chashu was possibly the best I've ever had(!) as it was soooo tender and flavorful, and not very fatty. I did think the cauliflower left room to be desired, and kinda took away from the ramen overall. We finished our meal off with the matcha Panna cotta - this was a great dessert and wasn't too sweet ;) This place definitely seems to be pretty good at a lot of dishes, but not amazing at any single one. The vibe is great, service was great, and prices are a biiiiti steep but not unreasonable.
