Really great addition to Hermosa! I was sad to see FFFF go, but I think this is a great replacement. I had the pizza with sausage and peppers and it was delicious! I took my coworkers and clients here for a going away party, and everyone was beyond thrilled with the event!! Tower 12 was fully accommodating in reserving the back area for us, reached out to confirm the reservation, and make sure we had everything that we needed leading up to the day. During the party, the staff continually brought out the apps that we preordered, as well as making continual rounds for drink orders. The happy hour deals and range of food made everyone happy and made everything affordable, too. Throughout the evening and afterwards, the client and whole team was raving about the food, the space, and the service! And we hung out for far longer than originally intended because everyone was having such a good time. It was the perfect space and vibe for our crew. Can't thank Tower 12 enough for making it such a memorable event! It was such a perfect spot that I even brought my work team back for some drinks after our summer party, a few weeks later. Sydney from the den was absolutely horrible . Made me feel so uncomfortable. She was extremely rude I sat down at the bar and she was making some comments where I didn't know if she was joking or being serious and me being a server knows they should never make the guest feel like that. If there wasn't another side we would have just left. No one wants to spend their money where the service was ridiculous. Manger on duty didn't seem to care either which was also kinda ridiculous. Tower 12 is a great lunch spot (I don't go at night because I have no interest in standing in line). The chicken sandwich is awesome, as are the fries. Good drinks, fun decor and best vibe in Hermosa - whether you're overlooking the pier or sitting at the back bar. Only downfall is that sometimes the seating situation is inconsistent as to which tables are self-seated versus hostess controlled. read more

This place is awesome to say the least! First I would like to say that they have really awesome collection of authentic Hermosa beach decor if you are a Southbay native like I am it really is true to the history of Hermosa even the names of drinks stay true to Hermosa beach like the Ironman which has a really nice presentation and comes in a flask. Service is is amazing they truly care about the customer and make you feel at home. Don't even get me started on the food the Charcuterie board is too die for and the stuffed crust meat fest pizza is probably one of the best pizzas I've had in a while now! (Coming from me that says a lot)! Overall this place is astonishing and I can't wait for summer cause this is definitely the new go to place for me and my friends! Can somebody say SUNDAY FUNDAYS?!? I am here at this moment for some drinks with friends... Yes.... Maybe what a weirdo for posting now... However this was ridiculous so I thought I would post now. My friends and I are ending our night .. we are closing our tab. Ok closed. Then the server comes to us to basically say that we tipped too little. To be honest, I tipped based on $1 /drink and the rest on the food. Of course in a regular receipt that's not 15 %... However if we were to get the drinks from the bar, that's how we would pay. So he made us feel guilty about our tip ...... I don't understand what servers do that.... That's just odd is all I have to say..... I mean... Places with servers who don't get the tip they expect don't usually make their customers feel guilty.... That's all I can say. On one side I understand, but on the other side ... Deal with it ... That's what happens... You guys charge a lot regardless so $1/ drink for tip is fair in my opinion .... Just my thought. LOve, love, love this place, I want to go every day! I'm always searching for a a new place to have Happy Hour and this place does not disappoint. From the Hostess to the Manager, Johan, it was great service overall. Johan was very attentive and made sure we were taken care of, the place was packed and I had gone up to the bar to ask for a drink when this very nice and personable young man asked if he could help, when I said to my companion that we would have to leave it was too crowded for me, turns out it was the Manager, Johan, he made sure we got seated in a timely manner. I haven't had such personal hands on service like this in a long time. The ambiance was awesome, it has 2 areas, one with bar tables, another more like a lounge, great decor. The happy hour menu is excellent, the drink deals are great! The food portions were generous and the dishes were all tasty we ordered more than we needed! We were completely satisfied and satiate, which is usually rare for happy hour food. I hope they don;t change the menu or the staff, super nice and friendly, even when they are uber busy! Last but absolutely not least....Johan, he made the whole experience even better! He was friendly and helpful and made sure we felt welcomed and kept an eye on us the entire time we were there. He definitely took good care of us, coming by and treating us like old friends, great experience. Finally decided to give Tower 12 dinner a try. Unfortunately, my group and I were treated awfully by the staff of the restaurant, making the entire experience unpleasant. Not only was the food bland and average at best, the staff was cold and rude. When expressing our disappointment with the service, our waitress told us she "has been feeling horrible all week". I am sorry that she felt ill, but I am much more concerned that our waitress had a cold/was sick while serving us. Another example of the lack of professionalism and concern for their patrons at this establishment. Finally, we made a reservation 19 days in advance, and were sat in a waiting room table in the bar area, right next to the loud kitchen and dance floor, rather than at a table in the dining room. When I asked if we could move to an actual table, I was told they "receive reservations up to three months in advance". There were several empty tables, it was 6:30pm on a slow night, and, once again, if the staff was trained in customer service, a much better response would have been an apology for the awful seating they gave us, not an excuse. All in all, it was an awful experience, and I regret spending my money and my time here. read more

Wow, haven't experienced something like this in years! Wanted to check out this new place and walk in to look around. Was about to walk upstairs and the doorman abruptly put his arm across the doorway and told us we couldn't go up and there was a line. There was no line, he made us the line! Then after about 6 people walked out I said that The two of us should be able to go in now, but the doorman said no. I objetected to his strange reasoning, but was asked if I ever ran a restaurant before? I should have asked him if he was ever a customer who was told you are the line, when there was no line, and then told you couldn't go in, even after six people left before? It really smelled of either ageism or homophobia, since my husband and I are in our 60's and 70's. We decided to leave and the younger straight people behind us were immediately let in. Ok, so where do I start??? First off we were hoping for it not to be too busy when we got there but it was. At first we thought the wait was going to be a bit too long but to our surprise it was not bad at all. Upon first walking in I was really impressed with the old school South Bay feel and decor, they really did a great job of making it stick out from the typical South Bay club. Upon being seated our waitress came to greet us and was extremely patient in explaining the menu. To be honest everything looked good it was difficult to choose. After a lot of back and forth in choosing (and a lot of patience from our server) My date decided on the Grilled Ahi Nicoise salad with a Naughty Mermaid and I had the BBQ Brisket with The Iron man, and I can honestly say it was AMAZING! The Chile vinegar sauce was a perfect compliment to the Brisket. It actually got really busy as we were there, but our waitress Melody was really attentive and was able to handle all of our needs, she even took the time to make some popular suggestions for our next visit. This new establishment on Hermosa Pier looks intriguing as you walk by and hear the crowd of people sitting throughout the indoor/outdoor seating areas but don't be fooled...they start carding at 9:30 even though that's still dinner time. While dinner hours are still going on they just seat people among all the bar goers... it's super loud and not very service oriented - they gave my born and raised South Bay husband a hard time for what he was wearing (including his necklaces)... they treated him like he was from the hood... The food was decent - I'll probably try to go back in the middle of the day and see if it's any different?? I'd like to try some more items on the menu but not during the crazy hours of 9:00 PM plus. If you just want to go out for a beer it's probably a great place. I personally thought it was pricey as well. $66 + tip, for pretzels a salad a chicken pot pie & 2 drinks. read more
