My experience with Trek Movers from booking to job done was excellent. My apartment complex screwed up and I found out the morning of my move that my new apartment was not ready and I would have to delay my move in by one day. Trek was able to store my things in the truck overnight and the same crew came the next morning to unload. Arthur and Vazgen were very hard workers, they were quick, and they were very careful with all my belongings, especially my 65" OLED TV. Communication and transparency was great as well. These guys are AWESOME. I was nervous about hiring movers (you hear so many horror stories). These guys were trustworthy, FAST, strong, and honest. They originally looked around our apartment and said that it would take 6 hours to move. Within 30 minutes of work, they told me that it would actually only take 4. They worked hard, and did not slow down. There was no funny business with these guys. They knew what they were doing, were professional, and I would recommend Trek Movers to anyone. They took great care of my furniture, made sure the beds and dressers and sofa were wrapper properly, and new how to maneuver in and out of the apartments. They kept me updated all the way up to the point when they arrived. They were very efficient mapping out what they needed to do before they even started and making sure I was aware of how they were going to move the items. Very courteous and very fast in their moving even though I underestimated how long it would take to move everything we had. I guess that's the flaw of first time moving when you book them. Luckily they were very nice about it. We did have a minor issue about parking meter and a slight miscommunication about payment but the owner was very polite and caring. I called them not expecting anything because they were so great during the move and I didn't want them to lose future customers due to a miscommunication. After we talked, he was the one to recommend refunding the meter ticket without me even asking. We hired Trek Movers to move 3 big pieces of furniture across town, 2 of which would need to be disassembled. We hired 2 men for the job. They showed up on time, took a look at the apartment, and got to work. The foreman, Arthur, was very helpful and communicative. His partner was new at the job and a bit slower as a result, but there's only so much Arthur can do about another grown man. Ultimately the furniture was taken apart and loaded in the truck relatively quickly. My mother met the movers on the other side of town and said they did a good job unloading and getting the furniture through tight spaces. She even flexed her muscles as a 3rd mover! Reviews pointed to this company being a good family operation. They by operations manager instructions, however held my daughter's furniture hostage and forced me to paying up front before they would unload. When the three guys arrived, one decided to take a paid 15 minute crap on my dime. The overall pack was slow but overall the movers themselves were professional and courteous. Then the guys wanted a 1/2 hour break with no statement that it was unpaid time. I explained that the move to place has an elevator that was reserved so time was limited which the lead guy understood and accommodated me. Per the guidelines the mover took double the time of a normal driving time which was expected. After arriving at the new location the movers had been instructed by their operations manager Andrew to collect up front the entire fee prior to completing and without letting me know for how many hours. Even after agreeing to 9.5 hours total on 7-8 hr quote and payment made in full before unloading they wanted additional money claiming Venmo and Zelle are credit card payments. The operation manager was rude and insulting towards me claiming letting the management know about their workers constitutes a red flag for non-payment. An hour of moving time was wasted trying to ascertain what can be paid to move this forward directly attributed to the operation manager. The end result I was extorted for an hour and a half billed for 9.5 hours on a expertly quoted 7-8hr job. Your business manager response misses the point. Job was completed in 8 hrs. Andrew delayed the move 1 hr = 9 hrs and I was billed for 9.5 hours. In addition, even though Andrew's tone was even he insinuated that I was going to cheat Trek. His suggestions and the subsequent over billing is a WARNING to everyone about this company. You are designated a crook, and they steal your money and would not hesitate to stealing your property to get an up front payment. Doesn't matter how they spin it afterwards - buyer beware. read more

They were extremely slow, complained about anything large or heavy, and it probably cost 3x what it should have because they were taking breaks every ten or fifteen minutes and charge by the hour. Tim and Vlad (my movers from Trek) made sure everything was protected (whether it be wrapped in plastic, a moving blanket, or put into a box) and disassembled / reassembled with great care, all while making sure to work quickly and efficiently.
