If you have a larger household (with kids and baby items etc. we have a lot of stuff) I would not recommend trek movers. We moved from a 2200 sq ft 3 bed 3 bath to a 5 bed 5 bath. They charge hourly and their movers had no urgency or efficiency. We had family over packing boxes so all they had to do was load the truck. They arrived at 9am didn't finish loading until 6pm. Our new house was 15 minutes away and they were taking things into the new house until 10pm. At the end they just gave up and were throwing things anywhere they could just to finish. They broke one of our hallway lights. They didn't wrap my $2,000 latex mattress, just tossed it in truck, and it arrived stained and sooty. Apparently they ran out of plastic wrap. They didn't honor my request to either wear booties or take shoes off when needing to step on rugs to assemble beds. One of my white rugs ended up stained and filthy from their shoes. They are quick and prompt to respond when scheduling a move but I've had zero response from them regarding the damage to my rug and mattress. I am getting the rug cleaned but what do you even do with a dirty mattress? I am so angry. read more

I have never written a review, but this company is a disgrace. I want to warn people as I only see positive reviews which some of them must be fake. I moved from a tiny studio to a one bedroom, a move previously done by another company a few months earlier in 2 h(!) same distance. These guys showed late, took 6 hours, and were completely careless with my things. I had a consultation and disclosed all my furniture and they said what size box they would bring for the TV etc. When the move is almost over, they ask me to turn on the tv to which the remote is in a box in their truck. They say since I can't, they won't be responsible. Well? They didn't bring a box, threw it in the truck, and broke it. A lamp I bought for $300 the same month were also thrown in there, and broken. Every time they went to the truck, they were gone half an hour (just down the elevator..). They didn't tape any screws to the things and threw most of them away, and I now have to buy new ones. I had to tell them to take them off the wall.. I attached a photo of my living room table which had little security stickers for the glass. They didn't even notice them and one fell off. They were rude, and careless. It was such a headache and it seemed like they never moved anything before. I have emailed and it has been ignored, completely. Saying people are out sick, promising they will get back at a certain time and never do. I spoke to someone last month for an hour as he wanted details and promised to call back the next day. Never called. What a complete waste of time and money this was. read more

I just hired Trek movers for a move and they did a fantastic job! To start, the original mover I hired bailed on me last minute and I contacted Trek movers and they pulled through super quick! Sarah was really responsive and helpful. If you pay cash it's a cheaper rate. Ilia and Argen did the job and they delivered! They were very careful, nice, and efficient. They know what they're doing and finished super quick. I moved out of a two story house into an apartment in the second floor. What seemed impossible was possible. I spent hours searching for the best movers in LA. I was moving from a condo to a house in the hills and have a lot of valuable things I wanted moved carefully. I settled on Trek after reading extensive reviews. They showed up slightly late in their 8-9 window, which didn't bother me to be honest. Throughout the move I would explain what goes in which box, as well as all the areas of my condo. They were actually quite good at physically moving, I think my Forman's name was Alex. During the move they put a piece of tape over the sensor on my buildings gate to keep it open. They didn't take it off and subsequently the gate broke, as it was lodged open for 24 hours. This is where it all went down hill. My HOA was livid that the gate was brining, exposing the entire building to break ins. I contacted Trek multiple times and was shuffled around with no good answer about how they were going to fix the gate or the insurance claim process. I hounded them non stop for 3 days trying to get an answer. My HOA simply went ahead and got the gate fixed ASAP since we had a break in earlier in the year and someone's car was robbed (this is in West Hollywood btw) Someone from Trek called me and said oh we went by your building (4 days later) and the gate isn't broken, must have started working, no issues, to which I replied, the building paid to have it fixed. I now had the cost added to my month HOA fees. I called Trek today to again complain about being reimbursed and was shuffled around again and told to email them and explain what happened, despite having multiple conversations with "managers" about the issue prior. Waste of time. Additionally, I discovered they forgot to move a ton of things in my garage storage unit. Nightmare. I implore anyone looking for movers to search elsewhere. They're great at moving and a complete and total nightmare if something goes wrong. I assume they're going to try and have my review taken down so I've included a screenshot of the confirmation of the move. Their crew were extremely pushy for me to write a positive review of them "by the time they got back to the office" so it's safe to say their perfect 5 star rating is probably pretty biased. read more

I had to pay $800 for this move (which I understand the rates and all that -- no problem there). My problem is that they stated they were unable to move a piece of my couch and took the couch back to my old apartment. Because of this and because I wanted to make sure that this couch wouldn't be able to fit in my new place, I had to pay an extra $200 for another moving company. This other moving company was able to easily fit my couch into the new place. So I'm not sure how the second moving company was able to fit my couch in the same space that Trek movers stayed the couch wouldn't fit. Only reason I'm giving them a 3 and not a 2 is because they moved all my other stuff and even wrapped everything. read more

Horrible experience using this company. Crammed everything into one storage unit even though I had a rented a second unit to use for items. Paid for the minimum of three hours time and was expecting to have to have more time added. The movers were there for more than nine hours. Everything was already boxed up and packed in my house. This review is long overdue. I used Trek back in late July to move my stuff from my large, 2-bedroom apartment in Sherman Oaks to a storage unit in Long Beach. The experience was great from start to finish! Remy was crew leader and he and his team were awesome. Very polite, efficient, and communicative. Hard workers! It happened to be a super hot weekend and they didn't complain at all and were nothing but kind and very professional. They carefully wrapped my furniture and belongings, also my framed pics and artwork. No damage to anything, and they were somehow able to get it all into my storage unit, which I was worried may be too small. Overall price was very fair. The moving guys did not speak English very well. They did not have the signed contract with them. They did not have the correct packing material with them, despite being given photos and a list of what needed to be moved. All that we requested was shrink wrap and blankets, which they did not have. The first thing the guy did was light a cigarette when he got off the truck and then refused to put it out when requested to do so. After reviewing the items to be moved the guy got angry and said they need another person. They were rude and nasty. And this is AFTER I got bail emails and texts telling me how great the service was going to be and detailed information as to what the workers would be doing. The image is great but the reality is ugly and nothing like what they promised. The owner called and just defended his company. I did not allow then to do the job. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

My fiancé and I hired Trek Movers to help us move into our new apartment. Mehdi and Konstantine were so friendly and extremely helpful. They showed up on time and instantly started setting a game plan and planning out the most efficient way to get everything moved. I was very impressed with how quickly they got everything wrapped up and loaded into the truck. They literally wrapped every piece of furniture. They also took apart furniture so it could be easily moved. Once they arrived on site, they unloaded and helped us arrange the furniture to our liking. And put all the furniture back together! The 3 man crew made quick work of it, brought boxes/tape/plastic wrap (all included where others will charge extra) packed stuff, disassembled/reassembled furniture, shrink wrapped/blanketed items that needed protection, followed our instructions/directions well, and were just total professionals at their jobs! I heard about Trek Movers through a friend that had recently used them. It was very easy to get a quote and schedule my move. I got an immediate email confirmation, and you can access your schedule moving details on their website. The day before my move, I got a call to confirm the move and time. They showed up on time and were AMAZING. Professional, very nice and crazy efficient. Very COVID-safe. I had a ton of stuff, and I was on the second floor at my old place and on the second floor at the new place, and they were so thoughtful about it and careful with my belongings, but still extremely efficient. How? Great question... dont know haha. They had estimated 4-6 hours by seeing our stuff, but my boyfriend and I helped them carry and still had to drive 40 min. We just made it happen! Two minor things I would change for next time and they are my fault: 01. They had asked if we had stairs, which we are on the first floor, so we don't... but we have 4 stairs leading up to the doorway. So, with those 4 steps, they actually weren't able to use the dollies they brought. Oops 02.
