I was just here yesterday with 2 others @ around 2. It was obvious when we walked in they were more concerned with getting ready to close @3 than providing good service and quality food. The floor was dirty with crumbs, crayons & straw wrappers & we had to ask someone to wipe down the booth seats that were full of crumbs. As the waitress cleaned them she commented, "oh it's just crumbs." I had the mushroom soup & Martha's Vineyard salad. The soup was lukewarm & was barely a cup. The salad was ok: balsamic dressing tasted like cheap bottled kind & the grilled chicken wasn't cut all the way through. Panini was cold & avocado shrimp toast was mediocre at best. The last time I came for breakfast there were also issues with the cappuccino being cold & breakfast nachos were terrible; basically chips with some scrambled eggs thrown haphazardly on top. I think I'm done with this place. Most diners are better and cheaper! read more

We eat at all locations regularly and it is always consistently delicious. This time, my daughter ordered the chocolate chip pancakes that arrived as plain pancakes. The server switched them out, which took a little time, as it was very busy. When it came time for the check, the manager came over, apologized again for the mistake and gave us a voucher for our next visit for two entrees. If that wasn't enough, when I reviewed the bill, they also didn't charge us for the pancakes! It's so nice when you don't expect anything and then you get surprised with something so generous. This place was a truly awesome find! Lines can get a little long so I advise calling ahead (they don't accept reservations, but they do take call-aheads) to make sure you get in. We went for brunch and the place was packed. The blueberry-lemon pancakes were fantastic, as was the Wilbur skillet, basic skillet, Hawaiian French toast, and Marsala Benedict that our group ordered. The food was very fresh-tasting, portions were generous, and the food was flavorful without being too sweet or too salty. Prices are standard diner prices, but the food was way better than any diner I've eaten at. Well worth the drive and wait--we'll be back! read more

Favorite restaurant in Jersey. The breakfast is awesome!!!! Everything we tried was fresh. Love the lemon blueberry pancakes, Super Bowl salad with ginger dressing (make sure you get ginger dressing), really all the pancakes are great waffles too. Been a fan of this restaurant since they initially opened. Food is almost always great, and the waiters and waitresses are friendly and helpful. My absolute favorite there is probably the Wilbur skillet. There are a couple of hostesses who lack customer service skill though. Today was a good example, I had called in a to-go order, and I went there I saw my order behind the counter waiting already. I spoke to her saying I'm here to pick up my order, and she told me that she will check on my order for me. She spent the next five minutes working on the guest list on her iPad. Realizing she doesn't care whether I got my order or not, I interrupted her colleague standing next to her and asked her to get me the order (and sure enough the one sitting there is for me). Meanwhile, this initial hostess is just standing there, ignoring the conversation and transaction. Poor customer service on her part, and she's lucky that the good food coming out of the kitchen keeps me going! read more

I hate this restaurant. There is constantly a line to get in simply because there is no other real restaurant in this strip mall. The idiot who seats everyone takes your name and number of people but proceeds to sit people as she wants taking immediate walk-Ins ahead of those who have been waiting for more than a half hour. Whole staff was very unprofessional especially the hostess. Their job is literally to welcome the guests and make sure they feel comfortable and accommodated while they are waiting the HOUR WAIT. The two young girl hostess on Saturday New Year's Eve did not smile once and gave up multiple tables after trying to call their name once. Constantly rolling their eyes, and laying there head on the table did not make me feel very happy with the staff. VERY unprofessional and clearly has never had a job until this one. Food was only okay. I ordered a veggie omelet. Menu just said seasonal veggies so I expected tomatoes, peppers, etc. It had carrots, broccoli and mushrooms. Those are fall/winter veggies. Not summer seasonal veggies. But whatever. The omelet was except for having way too many carrots. I was disappointed in the undercooked and flavorless potatoes. Food is solid. 50% chance it will come out wrong or missing something but they go back and usually get it right. Wait staff is also 50% sometimes they hit it right, other times it goes bad. Poor tea selection imho and the overall air of the place in manalapan is snooty. I do not care for that. Great breakfast, brunch & lunch option with everything from healthy dishes to indulgent cheat meals - all with fresh ingredients. Almost always busy, but still have never experienced bad service or felt rushed while enjoying my meal. I have visited many times and over all had a good experience every time. But unfortunately this time i went i had a bad experience with my waitress. She was not very friendly and when my friend and i said we needed another minute to order she didn't come back for 20 minutes. I actually had to get the manager to take our order because she was no where to be found. When she came back with our food she just plopped it down and left without asking if we needed anything. Also i had to ask another server for water because she had not brought any after i said within the first 5 minutes of being there i will have water as my drink. read more

i like the food and the place but the price of some items on the menu don't make sense. i paid $6.49 for 'traditional eggs' which is two eggs potatoes and an english muffin. under the 'traditional eggs' you are given the option to add a 'breakfast meat' for $3.79. i bought this and asked for sausage. Waiter brought two small sausage links with my breakfast. i paid an additional 58% of the original cost of my meal for two small sausage links. read more

Although its a little inconsistent and they forget to put certain things on the plate from time to time staff is friendly and is always willing to quickly fix it. This is my favorite brunch place. (I'd say breakfast, but I've never gone before 1 pm, lol) They have some unusual (but delicious) food options - esp their chocolate pancakes with homemade raspberry sauce on the side. Last visit I had an awesome young man server who I thought was in college - but turns out he was only in high school, but very mature and did an awesome job serving all. I would highly recommend this place and have nothing bad to say about it - other than it is usually TOO popular and wait times for a seat can get very long, especially during the height of lunch hours. But I'd rather wait for a good dining experience than be seated quickly for a bad one. If you've never been here, give it a try! This is such a great spot for breakfast or lunch. I love tea and my fiance loves coffee. This place has a great selection of both! The frozen hot chocolate is a must try! My favorite dish is the chicken pesto panini which comes with chips and salsa. I love that they leave the coffee pot and tea pot on the table so you can have a few cups without asking for a refill. It is a small place, so they usually have a wait, but you can call your name in to be put on the seating list. read more

I learned about this place a few weeks ago and have been there twice since then. They serve breakfast and lunch. They truly care about the quality of the food they are dishing out. For those who care about the food that you put inside of your body then this place is for you. For instance they do not serve any fried items. For those who care about the taste of their food then this place is for you. The only discouraging thing about this place is the line to get a table. It is unreal.
