I came here about two weeks ago to order take-out for the eight people I was having over for dinner. I ordered ten items (yes, I ordered more than I needed, but who doesn't want leftovers?!). I ordered the following: Black Pepper Beef, Honey Walnut Shrimp, Fire Cracker Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli Beef, Honey Orange Chicken, Vegetable Fried Rice and Vegetable Lo Mein (ordered two of each of the last two items). The trays of Lo Mein and Fried Rice were full and the main dishes came in smaller packaging (black trays with clear lids), but were definitely more than enough food to feed my small party and we had yummy leftovers for days. My favorites were the Black Pepper Beef (so good!), Lo Mein and Kung Pao Chicken - I really recommend them. These items also came with a full tray of white rice. The folks working here were so nice. I explained to the lady up front that I was having 8 people over. I shared with her what I originally planned to order and she told me it was too much food LOL. She gave me a more reasonable menu to take home and I'm glad I followed her advice because while I had (and wanted) leftovers, if I went with what I originally planned, I'd have way too much food. I'd say it took about 30 minutes to prepare my food, which was expected considering I didn't order ahead of time and it was a busy Friday evening. They packaged all my food in a box and even carried it out to my car, what lovely service! They even threw in egg rolls for my little party, on the house, that was so kind of them. So we have lived by this place for a couple of years and have never tried it. Yesterday night we were craving Chinese food and didn't want to deal with delivery and saw this was walking distance. My wife and I both got orange chicken - I got my side as chow mein and her side was fried rice. Plus with these meals each person gets soup and salad which i thought was great for $8.95. We also got a side of veggie egg rolls. Honestly the food was good - it wasn't amazing but it's something I would get again and definitely helped with our craving! The soups are OK but I'd probably not waste digestive real estate on them. The deep fried garlic/salt shrimp are good (although I've had better at many other more authentic Chinese places). I used to go to the place that's now "Of The Boat", and this place is probably better. Quality and taste of food was very good - we got two 2-items combos (BBQ pork/green beans/all fried rice; "grandfather's chicken/beef & broccoli/noodles). I would give this restaurant zero stars if I was able to. The customer service is horrible. The lady behind the counter was extremely rude! I will never go back!! I ordered the one item combo and asked if she could put one bite of orange chicken in the container so I could taste it to see if I like it and possibly order it next time. Well darn it....I wanted to love twin Dragon but I just didn't. The orange chicken was a bright orange color and not very appetizing. honestly there's no need to add food coloring to orange chicken! I've been here a couple times so far. The place is clean and well decorated with ample amount of space if you want to eat there. The lady is always so friendly and makes the experience that much better. The serving side are pretty hefty and she'll let you sample what ever you want. Twin Dragon is very safe Chinese food. The service is very friendly and they give you free samples if you ask. I recommend the Firecracker Chicken and the Vegetables. The Firecracker Chicken had the right amount of spiciness and sweetness all the while not being overwhelming in batter. Although many of you might scoff at the idea of having well prepared vegetables, I recently had vegetables at another Chinese fast food restaurant and they were disgustingly soggy and salty. I can happily vouch that Twin Dragon is nothing like that. The fried rice is serviceable and the chow mein is fine even though it may smell a little weird. Since they recently opened, they have some decent specials to try to build a customer base. A 2-item or 3-item combo comes with a salad, soup, and a cold tapioca dessert drink. The salad is really good, but the soup had waaaay too much cilantro. I'm not a fan of the stuff, and it was a little weird for them to include it in a Chinese soup. The tapioca drink is fine, but a lot of people might be weirded out by it, if they're not used to Asian drinks such as boba and the like (the consistency usually freaks them out). Having said that, their entrees are pretty decent, and fresh. The workers are also very nice. They always offer up free samples. The soya sauce chicken was one of my favorite dishes. Some of the stuff has too much salt, and/or too much ginger flavor to it...and I hate ginger. You should probably just ask to sample a few things before you make your selections. The interior of the place is nice, though, and it looks very clean. They also have a ton of drink selections, aside from just fountain drinks. Additionally, you can order items a la carte. I'm planning on trying their tofu dishes at some point, because they don't have them on the steam table, but you can order them off the menu. I'm saying four stars mainly because the service here is amazing and worth a star on its own. The food I'll get to, a three star meal. So my best example of excellent service: Tonight I'm swinging in 30 mins to close @9:30 on a Sunday and they are making everything fresh for me! Some places just say sorry we are out and you tell it's been slow and they are close to packing it in. This place is run by a young nice couple who took over from the original owner that did not do very good. I think they have turned the place around to the better. The portions are always generous, makes Panda Express looks bad. If you order a la carte dish, the portion is even bigger. It's amazing. So if you are ordering for the family for more than 2 or 3, I recomend going this route, and share your dishes...I guarantee you would have so much left over for 2 or 3 more meals later... If you ever order a la carte dish, I recommend especially try their Kong Pao 3 items (beef/pork/shrimp). You can also ask them also to make anything you want that you have in your mind, wahtever it might be, they will do so as long as they have the ingredients to do it. Trust me, I have asked them many times to create dishes that are not on the menu, so I won't need to run to San Gabriel Valley. For instance, I had bamboo shoot with pork which tasted quite good in SF Vallvey, I asked the lady if it's possible ? She wasted not time and had her chef made it for me... Wow!! Once I walked in, the cashier with the banana bandana immediately greeted me with a smile and hello. She instantly fed me all the samples in the world. She explained all the deals they had.
