I've been wanting to try UG Tea, the famous Taiwanese milk tea shop, ever since I heard they opened in San Gabriel. I missed them when they were temporarily closed a while back, but they are officially back and currently the trendiest spot in the SGV. The interior has a fantastic "new millennium" aesthetic that feels like a trip back to the early 2000s--they even have a giant iPod on the wall as decor! It's a great vibe for photos, and you'll see plenty of people using their onsite photo booth. My wife and I shared two of their bestsellers: the Next Level Matcha Latte ($7.95) and the Camellia Oolong Milk Tea ($7.00). The Next Level Matcha Latte is a must-try. You can really taste the quality of the 90% real Uji matcha, which provides a bold, earthy flavor balanced perfectly by a light, savory cheese foam top. It's only served cold, and it's excellent. The Camellia Oolong Milk Tea was equally impressive. It features a red oolong base with a lovely floral aroma that isn't overpowering. Per the staff's recommendation, I ordered it at 50% sweetness, which was a pro-tip--it kept the tea as the focal point and made for a very refreshing, lighter drink. Overall, UG Tea is the real deal. It's not just a hip, trendy atmosphere; they truly back it up with high-quality, delicious drinks. We will definitely be back!
It's been awhile since I last updated my review so I decided to this spot a second try Ordered Doordash since they were having a promo BOGO selected drinks! Got the Next Level Matcha Latte (30% sugar, regular ice with UG special milk) - $7.40 - I was pretty bummed how milky the drink was and how the matcha tasted quite subtle. In fact, I couldn't really taste the matcha at all. I was expecting high quality matcha since I read a lot of good reviews about their matcha but it didn't seem too exceptional. It tasted like a watered down milky matcha latte but it could be because I like my matcha more bitter and less creamy. I enjoyed it wasn't too sweet but it tasted too bland for my preference. Overall, I'm not a big fan of their matcha drinks but it was nice giving it another try.
A solid Taiwanese boba shop that's made it's landing hear in the oversaturated boba street in San Gabriel! UG's tea has a plethora of options for green tea/matcha options. It's great they have oat milk options to swap. So, a nice spot if you love floral teas! I personally love the barley/rice taste, so my go-to is the Rice Floral Milk Tea. Another great option is the Camellia Oolong Milk Tea - it's like you're drinking a flower! It's a huge space inside with a small adjacent lot. Really wish they didn't use fluorescent lights since the place feels too sanitary (not as cozy to hang out with).
I still remember when this location was Red Rose (a karaoke nightclub and gentlemen's club) before COVID, but now the space is taken over by UG Tea. UG Tea is a modern tea shop founded by the Taiwanese brand Sharetea Group. As of July 2026, this San Gabriel location is the only Southern California location; however, UG Tea also has locations in Houston (Texas), Tukwila (Washington), Richmond (California), Milpitas (California), and Bellevue (Washington). Apparently UG Tea will plant a tree for every 1,000 cups of drinks sold. [Parking]: There is a small designated parking lot and I have had no issue finding an available spot whenever I come here. [Atmosphere]: S-tier interior decor with the entire shop decorated in green from top to bottom. One side of the shop features a mirror decorated like Microsoft Paint on Windows 95 and another side of the shop has another mirror that looked like an old-school iPod. There is even a photo booth to take pictures.. [Ordering]: Customers order via a kiosk and the shop sends a text message when the drink is ready. There is also a monitor that displays the status of drink orders. My drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. [Menu]: Yelp's top recommended drinks are Next Level Matcha Latte, Camellia Oolong Milk Tea, Matcha Cookie Smoothie, and Jasmine Milk Tea. The shop offers three straws - trisip (recommended for milk tea), small straw (recommended for pure tea), and big straw (recommended for topping drinks). *** Next Level Matcha Latte (30% sugar, regular ice, UG special milk, 16 oz, $6.95): A very milky matcha latte, but I could still taste the matcha flavor. It was a fairly concentrated matcha drink and the UG Special Milk made it extra milky. The drink comes with 30% sweetness by default and the sweetness level tasted about right. *** A solid 4.5-star drink and bump up to 5-star for the trendy atmosphere. P.S. - If you still have room for more tea drinks, then the plaza across the street has four tea shops: Chicha San Chen, Auntea Jenny, ici Tea Drinks, and Macu Tea.
I heard about UG numerous times from my brother who raves about it. So I finally made my way out to try it. The inside of the store is futuristic and super cool, definitely the opposite of a cozy cafe vibe. It is a big space with seating along the perimeter. You can place your order on the tablet near the register and make sure to download the app because you get $5 off your first purchase and their reward system is really good. I got the jasmine milk tea with honey boba and my friend got the mango rice tea. The drinks came in a cute bag with straws inside. Super high quality packaging they use and makes the experience feel unique. The drinks were tasty, but wish my jasmine milk tea had a stronger jasmine flavor it was too milky for my liking. However, the mango tea was so good and I love how they use fresh mango chunks at the bottom. I want to come back to try their matcha.
Because I live in the Bay Area, any drink place from SoCal that opens up there is super packed and chaotic. UG just opened in Milpitas and it really intrigued me to try the place while visiting SoCal. Fortunately, this location was not as crowded for a Sunday afternoon. The place was an old bar and it seems to have kept some of that vibe but obviously, more aesthetic for the matcha girlies. Next Level Matcha: 4/5. It may have been me, but I'm always afraid to get drinks too sweet, so I lowered the sugar, which I think affected the flavor of the drink. It was decent! Matcha Cookje Smoothie: 5/5. There's a reason why it's one of the top drinks! I really enjoyed the matcha flavor paired with the Biscoff cookie! Delicious. I'll definitely be back to try other drinks because they have a lot of fun and cute drinks.
Not bad comparable to 3CAT and Molly Tea. Just an odd location though. The interior still has remnants of the Taiwanese Hostess Lounge that occupied this building for decades. Where young women would fly out here on travel visas from Taiwan and work night shifts accompanying businessmen, drinking, playing dices, paper rock scissors....the 90s and 2000s were good times. But yes, come for the drinks...and sit on the couches and dive back into an era of nightlife, vice, Asian Triad life in the San Gabriel Valley.
Overall Experience - 9/10 it was a wonderful place to hangout and the hangout. It had ample seating. I was there to try their new drink. The staff were nice and good at explaining the people. Drink - I had the Avo mango drink and it was a good balance of avocado, mango, and cream flavor. Wondering balance of fruit, creaminess, and sweetness. Experience - The place had a nice ambiance and wonderful staff members. The parking can be crowded in the lot but there is ample street parking. The wait time for the drinks wasn't too bad when I went.
I ordered through the FanTuan app and was able to get a $4 off coupon - I was able to get two regular size milk teas for $10. That's a steal in this economy!! I got two camellia oolong milk teas, both 50% sweet and less ice. This milk tea is soooo good. It's fragrant and deep while still tasting light and refreshing. It's so hard to describe, but I'm happy to have found a solid oolong milk tea. A lot of boba shops nowadays only do roasted oolong milk tea, and I don't like the flavor profile of that. Parking is super easy, though the entrance is a bit tight (can't easily fit a car entering and exiting, especially if one car's bigger than a regular sedan). Service was relatively fast - I ordered and was able to pick up within 30 minutes. I'll definitely be back to try other drinks like their matchas!!
Date of Visit: 6/6/26 Time of Visit: 1:30pm After having lunch in the SGV area, we drove over to UG Tea based on a positive recommendation from my younger sister (who frequents the SGV area and scopes out new tea shoppes). The interior of the shop definitely matched their name. Lots of green decor all over. The interior space was also quite large, too. I believe they could have more chairs and tables if they wanted to. I ordered the Peach Camellia Fruit Tea and my wife ordered the Next Level Matcha Latte. My peach fruit tea was very tasty and the lychee jelly that I added we quite chewy and complemented the peach flavor really well. I took a sip of my wife's matcha latte and it was quite strong, but pretty good, too. Overall, this tea shop is at least Top 3 in the SGV area based on our recent tastings.

Made an online order and drinks were ready in about 10 mins. I have tried UG tea 2x in Taiwan and was excited they opened one in the sgv. I didn't try it out when they initially opened due to the long lines. Decided to pop in today, Saturday around 12pm. There was a handful of people inside no wait to order. They had a bunch of bobaristas churning out drinks for online orders. There was at least 20 orders in bags ready to be picked up. I am glad I waited to try them out. Ordered: - Camellia oolong milk tea 10% sugar with boba - Jasmine milk tea 10% with tea jelly Both drinks were as good as I remembered them to be in Taiwan. Nice and creamy a just a hint of sweetness. The teas were extra fragrant. Can't wait to come back and try new drinks! read more
Came on a Monday night at 8pm and there was no line! They were offering half off ($3) for their camellia oolong milk tea with an account made so that's what I got and it was pretty good! Their interior is really spacious with sculptural, sleek, nature vibes. The shop is in its own lot in a pretty inconspicuous location. The camellia oolong milk tea was really fragrant and not too milky as compared to places like Molly tea's milk teas. For $3, I enjoyed my drink and had a good experience with no line and only about 10 minutes of waiting for the drink itself. I haven't tried their matcha drinks but it seems from previous reviews people had more negative experiences, but for now I would recommend their camellia oolong milk tea for $3 while the offer still lasts. read more
The matcha here tasted good, but nothing that blew my mind. I tried their "special" milk but couldn't taste the difference. Best thing about this place is the aesthetics, it gives off gentle monster vibes and its super spacious. Great for photos. The wait was long, over an hour. They only had 1 person taking orders. First time experiencing this place and suddenly fell in love. I would try everything on the menu if I wanted to. The drinks we ordered were made to perfection and with love that every sip tasted so delicious and worth it. The service here was fast and very efficient. I was shocked and they all did great and amazing. The ambience here was big on the inside, they also had chairs where you can sit. They had nice art installations inside and a Photo Booth! Another tea place in the SGV! Some people say that's its better than Molly tea. I thought it was good but still like Molly tea a bit more. I got the camellia milk tea 50% sweet. The drinks came out fast and there was no wait to order. The camellia was refreshing and light. The ambiance was nice, reminds me of team labs in japan! There's lots of seating. They have a private parking lot with plenty of parking. I would come back to try their matcha which I heard is good! read more

i was excited to try this place after seeing it online for a while. But, i was thoroughly disappointed. Walking in, the music was so loud and a little disorienting. The decor is fine but it seems a bit unfinished. The mirrors on the wall kind of give the vibe of an old fashioned chinese restaurant with mirrors on the wall to make it look bigger. Maybe i just don't understand the vibe they were going for. It also smelled a bit weird and it was a bit stuffy. The benches are also honestly quite uncomfortable in my opinion. Now for the drink. I got the Next Level Matcha latte. The girl at the register recommended 30% sweet so i went with that. My friend who is likes her matcha sweeter thought it was not sweet enough. But i thought it was fine. My biggest problem with the drink though was that it was SALTY. i was so confused from the first sip. I thought maybe it was the foam top that was salty but the actual latte liquid part was also salty. maybe this is somebody's preference but it's definitely not mine. Honestly, i was super disappointed. with Molly Tea, Chicha San Chen, Wushiland, Guiji, and Heytea just down the street from this boba shop, there are much better options in my opinion read more

Hype has finally died down since the reopening. I ordered online when they opened and got my drinks my drinks at a reasonable time. There was no line to order on a Sunday morning. The parking lot had a lot of spaces, plenty of seating inside too. The drinks are super fragrant. I got the camellia oolong with boba and found the tea aroma to be super strong. I also tried the camellia peach and its so fragrant that it feels like drinking out of a perfume bottle. I think they could improve the texture of the boba since its not as chewy. Heard about the long waits and really didn't want to get stuck in a large crowd. We called ahead to check on their wait time. No wait on a Thursday afternoon around 2pm. They said we just missed their lunch rush, music to our ears. Large interior but limited seating, you might be able to grab a seat for a party of 2 or 3. But large parties might be best for a grab and go. With the rise of modern luxe boba shops popping up left and right, I'm honestly surprised that this one is good. Definitely will be coming back often. Their fruit teas comes at 50% sweetness and it's just right. Their milk teas comes at 30% sweetness and it's also just right. For reference, I normally order my drinks at 25-50% sweetness at other boba shops. Peach Camellia Fruit Tea -comes with lychee jelly which pairs well with peach. Refreshing and not too fruity. Strawberry Hibiscus Fruit Tea - just the right amount of fruitiness. Perfect for when you need something with more depth but also want something fruity. Blueberry Blizzard Smoothie -blueberry lover's dream. Creamy and fruity all in one drink. We ordered it 70% and it actually was just right. Rice Floral Green Milk Tea -sooo good. You really taste a roasted rice flavor paired with a slightly floral green tea. Not overpoweringly floral either. Creamy but not too creamy. Mango Rice Floral Fruit Tea - mango chunks adds so much texture, mango wasn't overpowering the rice tea flavor. Hibiscus Roast Milk Tea -personally didn't like this one too much. Can't put my finger on it but simultaneously flavors are familiar and odd. Matcha Cookie Smoothie -ordered it at 50% sweetness but 70% might have been better. Strong matcha taste but you don't really taste the Biscoff cookie. There are some cookie crumbs sprinkled at the bottom and top but you don't taste it throughout. read more
The interior of the cafe was super unique - it's like cafe verison of gentle monster. Lots of greenery with unique decorations/designs throughout the whole place. There was quite a few area to sit but not really areas with tables so not really suitable for studying. Parking can be difficult as the lot is quite small. I went as soon as it opened so there were no issues for parking then. Ordered the: - Next Level Matcha - Camellia Oolong Milktea Really liked the Camellia Oolong Milktea - it wasn't too sweet. The Next Level Matcha was delicious and was sweet enough at 30%. Would be down to try their other drinks if I get the chance. read more

Legitimately the cleanest matcha spot I have gotten to enjoy in all of Los Angeles. If you want to get transported to ABG heaven this is also a must come. The space does a really good job of emulating what matcha addicts think their vibe is . In all realness though I've heard a lot of people enjoying all the drinks for their pretty large sized drink menu and they got a lot of things in the space to occupy you n friends like photo booths and just good music whenever we come. My friend and I decided to try this matcha spot because it looked very authentic and the interior was honestly super cute. Unfortunately, I think I enjoyed the atmosphere more than the drinks themselves. I ordered a matcha drink, and while it wasn't overly sweet, I felt like it didn't really stand out flavor-wise. It tasted kind of bland to me and didn't have that strong matcha kick I was hoping for. It wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't memorable enough for me to order again. The bigger issue was the service experience. Right when we were about to order, their system went down, so they could only accept cash. I completely understand that technical issues happen, but it seemed like there was a lot of miscommunication between the workers afterward, which caused our order to get delayed or forgotten. We ended up waiting around 15-20 minutes, maybe even longer, just for two drinks. I do sympathize because it's stressful when systems go down, but personally, I don't think the drinks were worth the wait. In the end, I probably wouldn't come back since there are other matcha places in OC that I personally enjoy more. read more

Of all the matcha drinks from UG, my favorite is the Next Level Matcha Latte. For milk tea, it would be the Camellia Milk Tea. For just tea, I prefer the Camellia Tea with Tea Jelly. Fruit tea wise...Strawberry Hibiscus & Orange Jasmine are both decent choices. Love how convenient it is to order online and pick is easy n quick with no issues. There are always customers when I visit, but never over crowded - love that. Plus, there are plenty of bench seating. Most other boba/tea shops are mainly for to-go and/or with long wait. DRINKS - Matcha: Next Level Matcha Latte 4.5/5 Usually get it at default, which is 30% sugar. Lately, been getting it with 10% sugar and it came out really good/to my taste. Cloud Matcha Latte 4.25/5 Matcha Cookie Smoothie 4/5 DRINKS - Other: Cloud Cocoa Smoothie 4.5/5 My co-workers had this and liked it DRINKS - Tea: Strawberry Hibiscus Fruit Tea 4.5/5 50% (default sweetness is too sweet) 30% is plenty sweet imo. Orange Jasmine Fruit Tea 4.25/5 Default is 50%, but got it at 30% sugar with tea jelly. Just right imo. Comes with pulp and liked the tea jelly as well. I feel bad giving 2 stars, but this place just isn't it. The milk tea and matcha drinks were bland and had zero redeeming qualities. For this price range, there are better options around this area. Their website brands it as Sharetea's more "elevated" sister concept, but it felt like regular Sharetea with a Canva account and a Pinterest "Gentle Monster inspired" moodboard. Beautiful packaging and that's it. Don't let the xiaohongshu girlies influence you into coming here for below average sugar water. read more
I was so excited to try UG Tea after hearing great things about it from Taiwan, and this is their first LA location. Their drinks have such a strong floral aroma and really stand out in flavor. The space itself is huge and super spacious, and I couldn't get over how green everything was. The nature-inspired theme is so cute. There are also plenty of photo spots, including a photo booth inside. Their menu includes pure teas, milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, and of course their signature Uji Matcha drinks. I ordered the Matcha Cookie Smoothie and the Cloud Matcha Latte. Both had a rich matcha flavor paired with their unique milk blend. The toppings were also really good. I came here the night before their grand reopening on January 30. There wasn't much of a wait which was nice considering the out-the-door lines during their initial grand opening. I opted to try the Matcha Jasmine Cream Latte with 30% sugar as recommended and all the other recommended preferences. Safe to say, I was pretty underwhelmed by the overall flavor of the drink. The matcha flavor was extremely weak and it tasted as if I was drinking a bland jasmine milk tea. For a flagship store that advertises its matcha drinks, I was really hoping for something that actually would be at least on par with other matcha spots around the LA area. My other gripe with the drink besides the flavor was the price. At $6.95 it is definitely on the higher side for boba/drinks, especially considering once again how underwhelming the drink was. Overall, I found UG to be disappointing and I hope they work on their recipes to improve and offer premium matcha. read more
A pretty cool Matcha place in the SGV. The menu is pretty straightforward, and the next level Matcha latte was pretty decent. I would highly recommend ordering online if you could, to save you a time. They do take their time to brew your cup, so if you are in a rush, you might want to plan this out. There may be some promotions that goes on from time to time, which I did see a long line that spread out a couple of blocks one time. For the most part, you should be fine. Indoors, there are plenty of photo opportunities, pretty cute interior decor. The service was decent, I had no major issues. read more
Been wanting to try this place ever since they opened on Valley Blvd. It wasn't busy at all. It's a nice lil tea shop with cute green themed decors. Ordered the Peach Camellia Fruit Tea & Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea. Both drinks were pretty good and flavorful, not too sweet or so. Like how the drinks come in a cute tote bag. Will head back to try their other drinks. read more
UG Tea has really great service and their app makes it convenient to order ahead of time. The staff is also always friendly. They also do variety of promotions (discounts, giveaways) so check in with them to see if they got something going on each month. My personal favorites is their matcha drinks, like the matcha cloud or next level matcha. Bf really likes the strawberry hibiscus fruit tea. read more

First off, this place is such a nice place to vibe and hang out. There is a lot of seating area, but there aren't many tables so I wouldn't come to study or do work. I got the mango rice floral milk tea with honey boba, and I would for sure see myself coming back! Service and staff was great as well. read more

One of the most spacious boba shops in the area. They had a sign stating that they give out 50 tote bags daily, but you do need to post on social media, I believe. Sukz!! We ordered 3 drinks. They gave us a $3 discounts after member sign up LOL smh Anyways, we ordered the rice green milk tea w/floral tea jelly, Camellia oolong milk tea, and level up matcha. They messed up our order. Instead of the level up matcha, we got this tea drink with jelly. We had to go back in to get our actual drink. They happily took back the incorrect drink. Honestly, once a drink got out the door, it would be unsanitary to take it back. If I was the other customer, I wouldn't want it. They didn't apologize either. They were more in shock or something. New shop in the area so I gonna let it slide. The drinks were good. However, the tea itself was somewhat weak. I would go back to try other drinks. The prices were decent. A new boba shop called "UG Tea" is currently having a soft opening in San Gabriel, and I must bring my family there. The parking lot can be difficult to find a spot in, but once you park and enter the UG Tea shop, you are immediately drawn in by the cool music and the architecture of this shop, which has greens all around and a large raindrop statue in the center of the space. We ordered the Peach Camellia Fruit Tea, Matcha Cookie Smoothie, Next Level Matcha Latte, and two Jasmine Teas with Honey Boba. Due to the large crowd, we had to wait at least 40 minutes for our drinks. The cups used by UG Tea appear to be of high quality, and once you insert the straw, the flowery aroma odors of the tea immediately strike your nose. When you take your first sip of the drink, you can taste the premium quality of the tea and the honey boba, which has a soft and chewy texture. Not to mention the to-go thermal bag with its cool design! Come celebrate the Grand Opening on December 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Come support the new Boba shop in SGV. This place has been getting a lot of hype online, and I can see why. I came after seeing multiple reels on Instagram to check out their soft opening, and the tea house was pretty busy with tons of decorations. They even had a photo booth and made some really pretty and tasty drinks. I had the matcha cookie smoothie, and I was surprised at how good it was, not overly sweet but still full of flavor. First of all I wanna say that this place has amazing service and the vibes are amazing, it feels like I am drinking matcha in the year 2042 where everything feels so futuristic. More importantly, the drinks, best matcha I have ever had, I tried the matcha biscoff and the soggy cookie flavor is amazing, it is such a pleasant mix and one I would have never thought I would have liked, I recommend!! Who ever running this place how to treat their employees, as once again, their service is impeccable and incredibly fast! Definitely gotta try this spot and I will be here again! read more
Ooooo a new tea shop in the 626, I have to try! First 50 people during Dec 1 to Dec 5 to make any purchase, follows the ig, and post on social media gets a free large green tote bag. I got here a little after 11 and the line wasn't too long but then I already see people sitting down waiting for their drinks. They were also giving out samples of their drinks for people waiting in line to try. The interior is very modern yet unique. I do like the random paint sign and iPod. I ordered 5 drinks but it was also for my coworkers. Peach camellia fruit tea: 5/5 would get this again, has lychee jelly toppings but I would get it 50% sweet next time. The only issue I had was the lids for the drinks. The drinks spilled in the bag but luckily not too much. They weren't capped properly and hard to capped the lids. Other than that, service wasn't too bad for a soft opening. The staff were really friendly as well. I'll be back to try more of their drinks. read more
Do you want to know what a tea store designed by Mugatu and Lacoste looks like? Want to feel like you're shopping at a Gentle Monster in Harajuku but all they sell are drinks and vibes? Do you feel like you should be pulling out your ID for a non existent bouncer to get into a highly exclusive lounge? Well, all of these experiences can come true when you visit this UG Tea. Design - Out of body experience When you enter the parking lot you see stanchions outside the entrance and you can hear the music as loudly as if you were passing by an H&M at the mall. When you walk in the stark color of white with pops of green hues smack you in the face. Are you cool enough to be here? Maybe. As you look around you see a giant silver blob standing right in the middle of the floor. Just past is a circle of seats surrounding a mossy hill. That same corner has a metallic photo booth where you can take pictures for a fee and put them on the walls. Soft art hovers on one wall with bench seating and strange metal ottomans to accompany the perimeter. Walking towards the counter you are greeted by a team of different baristas behind the counter. The digital menu lies right in front of you and it gives you a chance to visually see what you might be ordering. It feels strange because the motions on how to order a drink at a tea shop is normal, but you feel like you have a 87% chance of being on a reality prank show. Drinks - Beautiful and ephemeral The drinks look gorgeous both in picture and in person. UG Tea really nailed the aesthetics and the importance of visuals for their brand. The blueberry blizzard smoothie looked like a dream and when it came out, dreams come true. The taste is probably exactly what you think it is by looking at its creamy blue swirls with its milk like layers. It tastes like baby blue but in the best way possible. Even has a burst of sweet berry flavors when you finally reach the bottom. UG Tea also is known for their matcha, hence their use of green everywhere. They get their matcha from Uji, the region of Japan considered to source the best matcha in the world. I've never been a big fan of matcha but I think they makes a good quality one. It looks pretty at least and the taste was smooth with any bitter aftertaste. I wish I could tell you more but that's all I tried in this last visit. However, the drinks did make me want to come back and explore more of the menu. Just be mindful, the premium feel comes with a premium price. The blueberry blizzard slushie cost $8. Final Thoughts Sitting around made me feel like I needed to order a vodka tonic and perhaps start dancing a little bit. It feels very chic in their cafe although it feels more like you should be shopping for high end fashion than tea. If these vibes are something you find go well with your drinks than you should come down here and get ready to be indulged in so many ways. Just remember it is U G Tea and not pronounced "UGH Tea". read more

Dropped by this tea house in San Gabriel after a friend hyped it up, and it totally delivered :) The interior is bright and roomy with a spacious layout and plenty of seating, so it's great for photos and just hanging out with friends. I tried a refreshing fruit tea that was not overly sweet, super clean and crisp. Also got their unique matcha latte -- rich, creamy, with a subtle sweet aftertaste that kinda sneaks up on you. Loved the unique photo sticker machine for check-ins, such a fun touch. Very nice environment, warm welcoming and friendly service, I felt really comfortable just chilling there! read more
Situated between two other tea cafe powerhouses, this place offers some overlapping items but also stands out on its own for its unique branding. I got the camellia oolong milk tea, 70% sugar and less ice, and it was delicious. I'd probably go down one sugar level, and I like that they offer 6 levels. Their menu isn't quite extensive but it seems to offer a good variety. The drink had a good mouthfeel and pronounced tea flavor with a balanced sweetness. The drink was packed in a insulated bag, which is nice, but if they're focused on being "green" then they should probably offer it as an option since most customers will immediately take it out of the bag to enjoy and not use it again. The person at the counter offered a sample of orange tea that definitely tasted like it was made with fresh-squeezed OJ. I'm definitely intrigued to make another stop when I'm in the area. read more

Another new tea place means another new place to check out and write a yelp review! So UG Tea is in the building next to the plaza where Boiling Point used to be. So don't get confused and go into that Plaza with the underground parking. It does not live there. For the longest I've this building has always been a mystery to me as I've never seen anyone go in or knew what was inside it. Finally got to check it out and it's actually pretty big inside. I went during the opening week so of course the lines were really long and the parking was terrible. The actual parking lot for the place is pretty tight and there's maybe 16-18 spots? They are marked with "UG TEA PARKING" so you don't get confused. There is also street parking available. The line was really long, like there was a line inside and a line outside to even get to the inside line. Crazy. The wait time for the drink was at least 30 minutes. I'm sure this would die down as time goes on. The interior of the place is neatly decorated with the green and white theme. There's like this moss thing on the wall and like a statue in the center as well, like a center piece. There aren't a lot of spaces to sit actually. At the time of review there isn't any food on the menu, only drinks. The drinks itself were pretty good. They don't start drinks out at 100% sweetness. They are usually around 30% starting. I had an oolong milk tea with oat milk and it was delicious. I even ordered a large. Overall, despite the long lines and tight parking due to opening week, I did like my drink and I would definitely come back. 5/5! I dig the green and white theme too. read more
