The Drink A new tea place seem to be in town, called Ume Tea (优米茶铺), or U&ME Tea, whichever you like. Their model seems to be 用心做好茶, which translates to "work hard to make good teas". They have a variety of drinks with interesting topping, along with snacks to choose from. I ordered their Brown Sugar Pearl Milk with Matcha Ice Cream, so I guess is a boba float . The drink itself was not bad, the matcha ice cream was a good topping, and the boba was nicely done. Their drinks have nice aesthetic which make you want to try everything...maybe next time. The Miscellaneous The tea shop is within a big plaza with decent amount of parking all around. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but it is very limited. The interior design are interesting along with different decors around the shop. Their service was good, with the drinks made to order and short wait. Asides from the drinks, they also have snacks and food on their menu. I would give their snacks and food a try just to see how they are. But their prices are a bit steep. read more

When I heard there was a new boba place in town, I had to go and check it out. The decorations were very cute and I thought it was interesting that most things were written in Chinese (some signs didn't even have English translations). Prices here are pretty standard for Bay Area boba shops (~$5 for a drink with boba). My friend and I both ordered the brown sugar pearl milk tea. She got hers at half sweet while I got mine at full sweet. However, when I got mine it tasted very diluted. I tried my friend's half sweet one and it tasted sweeter than mine. We checked the labels on the cups and we had grabbed the right cups, and we both shook our drinks to mix in the brown sugar, but they probably switched the drinks in the cups. The biggest problem though was that this shop's version of 50% sweet seemed like they were adding water to dilute the overall taste, rather than adding less sugar. Maybe their tea isn't brewed as strongly, but I was pretty disappointed by the half sweet. The regular sweet drink still tasted pretty good though, so the overall experience was pretty meh. read more

The drinks and snacks at here are delicious!! Highly recommend the strawberry matcha milk tea (comes with matcha ice cream) and the popcorn chicken!! We also got (all very good): - White peach oolong tea - Passion fruit and orange green tea - Oreo brûlée boba milk tea - Curly fries - Jumbo tempura shrimp - Takoyaki This place is pretty popular so the wait can get long. I like the Mochi black sticky rice milk tea. I add sago too so my drink ends up being more like a dessert than drink . The Mochi is soft and chewy. I haven't found another boba shop with Mochi or black sticky rice as toppings. The boba is good too. read more

Too bad watermelon is out of season now but when they have it, I 100% recommend the passion fruit watermelon it's amazing!! Not only is it delicious with real chunks of watermelon in it, but it's very pretty in two tones with the pink of the watermelon sitting on top of the goldenrod yellow passion fruit tea. They're almost always busy but I appreciate that they're open til late, so they're a great late night option. The cafe location is smaller, so it's not so much for lounging, but it's definitely convenient to get things and go when you're stopping by for a drink or a meal. Otherwise you can hang out and walk around in the plaza. I do recommend ordering ahead online beforehand since the lines get long during the afternoons and evenings. read more

The packaging is cute and they give A LOT of boba. The drink was really good and we plan on returning. They do seem to use milk - no diary substitute so no go for my lactose intolerance. This shop is located in a large shopping plaza with ample parking. We arrived here on a Sunday and there was a short wait. You can place your order via QR code and pick up when it's ready. I ordered the purple rice milk tea with mochi added. Their highlight is the drinkable liquid mochi. It's soo unique and I love the texture! Would suggest ordering 30% sweetness if you don't like your drink over sweet. I also chose light ice. They also have a lot of non caffeine options which is a plus!
