Fazzoletti Piccanti
Navin M.

The pasta here is absolutely delicious, particularly the fazzoletti picante. The artichoke tagliatelle was also very nice, and really enjoyed the veggie sides. The space is really pretty and the service was on point. The panna cotta was also a knockout, not too sweet with fresh fruit. Excited to come here more often.

Amatriciana

Uovo is my favorite restaurant of ALL TIME. I originally discovered it on the west coast and am ecstatic that it opened in NY. You have to go! Get the Amatriciana pasta and Broccolini. I swear by it! Trust me.

Yellowtail Crudo

I must say, Italian food is my favorite especially pasta. However after having the pasta here I could never eat pasta anywhere else. You definitely need to try the tasting menu. e had the cheese and truffle. Immediately my favorite. Pomodoro, Tagliatelle in truffle sauce, and Cacio e Pepe (the best I have ever had and I have had it in Rome) words can't describe the experience. Cliche 10 out of 10 would recommend. I asked for an extra Yellowtail Crudo and the Tiramisù al cucchiaio was amazing. We will be back. Thanks ovo. Listen to very knowledgeable server. Great affordable date night choice. Did i mention the tasing menu is for two, Run don't walk to this NoMad hidden gem. won't be hidden for long.

I've been a UOVO regular since my time living in LA, and I've genuinely missed it ever since moving to New York. Even with all the incredible Italian food options in NYC, nothing has ever quite compared to UOVO for me. There's just something about the simplicity, quality, and consistency that makes it stand out. I was so excited when I heard they were finally opening a location here, so of course I had to go on opening night. The space had such a fun energy, and the staff did an amazing job keeping everything running smoothly despite how packed it was. Honestly, everything was even better than I remembered. I had the carbonara, the ragu, and the tartufo, and every single dish was incredible. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauces were rich without being too heavy, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The carbonara especially reminded me why I used to crave UOVO all the time in LA. So happy NYC finally has a UOVO - I already know I'll be coming back constantly!

Been a customer of UOVO LA for years, so I was excited to be there on the very first evening they opened in NYC. The food quality is just as consistent as always, and their pasta remains my go-to. Great ambiance, attentive service, and overall a really solid dining experience.

The limoncello was simply divine, and the spaghetti Bolognese and short rib ravioli were both out of this world--rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Then came dessert... the ricotta cheesecake literally knocked it out of the park. It was the perfect ending to an unforgettable dining experience. Then there was our waiter, Cem, he had a great presence, was very knowledgeable, and treated us like royalty! He made the entire experience worth coming back for. If you're looking for authentic Italian food with incredible flavors and impeccable execution, Da Andrea is a must-visit but you have to ask to be seated with Cem!! Can't wait to come back!

Taylor's Tayke: Da Andrea is a great option for Italian…read moredining in Chelsea, with a warm atmosphere that works perfectly for date night or dinner with friends. The menu has plenty of variety across pastas, seafood, and cocktails, with some unique dishes that made the experience memorable. The drinks were a highlight, and the seafood options stood out the most for me. My Tipsy Tayke: The Fragola Fizz was juicy, fruity, and refreshing. The Forever Summer was another standout, with the smokiness of the mezcal blending really well with the fruit flavors without overpowering them. Both are easy recommendations depending on whether you want something fruity or a little more complex. My Taysty Tayke: Get Down & Dirty, Expeditiously: Seafood Ravioli Unique, flavorful, and packed with different seafood flavors. The ravioli itself was delicate and had a tendency to fall apart, but the flavor made up for it. Standout: Calamari Crispy, seasoned, and enjoyable. It had a slightly chewy texture, but I still found myself going back for more. The Carpaccio wasn't necessarily for me texture-wise, but I really enjoyed the greens and dressing that accompanied it. The garnish felt intentional and helped bring the dish together. The Pappardelle came with plenty of sauce but could have used more flavor overall. The complimentary bread was also tougher and chewier than I prefer. Desserts: The Lemon Sorbet was easily my favorite dessert. Bright, refreshing, and packed with real lemon flavor. The Mango Sorbet was another refreshing option with a smooth tropical sweetness. The Panna Cotta Cheesecake leaned closer to a mousse in texture and was definitely on the sweeter side. I especially enjoyed it with the cherry, which helped balance everything out. Service: Warm and attentive throughout the meal, fitting the inviting atmosphere. Plates From My Visit: Calamari Carpaccio Seafood Ravioli Pappardelle Lemon Sorbet Mango Sorbet Panna Cotta Cheesecake Fragola Fizz Forever Summer In Conclusion: A warm Chelsea Italian spot with strong cocktails, unique seafood dishes, and refreshing desserts. The Seafood Ravioli was the highlight of the savory side, but whatever you do, save room for that Lemon Sorbet. Stamped by Elajas

We started off with a selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic mixed drinks which were all rated good by the drinkers. We ordered a mix of appetizers - the caramelized onion & cheese torta was a table favorite, as was the salad which had a perfectly balanced tangy dressing. We also enjoyed the smashed cucumbers. Next we got a selection of pastas, the guanciale was a favorite and we also enjoyed the rabbit and crab pasta. Entrees were the steak, a good sized portion, grilled chicken on the bone and an excellent pork Milanese with anchovy sauce on the side. We ended our meal with a lemon torta, basque cheesecake and an espresso dark chocolate cake - which was more like a sorbet but nevertheless delicious. Our server gave us great suggestions, including going for a family style meal and did not rush us making this a memorable meal.

It was deboned fish stuffed with the mustard greens and there was an overwhelming wasabi flavor to it. Also it was very dry and seemed burnt. The server was very inattentive and we had to flag him down to get anything. This reminded me of eating at an Olive Garden but with way worse food

Are you going to the Joyce for a wonderful evening of dance ?…read more Do you prefer a location close by ? Is inexpensive Italian food a preferred choice ? If you answered "yes" to all three, then Fumo is a place to seriously consider. The restaurant is bright and comfortable. The service is fast and attentive. The menu has lots of excellent choices. The portions are generous. The prices are very reasonable. There you go ! Fumo is for you, (at least the Chelsea location) is for you. Any drawbacks ? youi ask.....well, yes, there is one, and it should be cosnidered. The restaurant is so so so popular that the noise level can be a bit ..... shall we say "daunting." Fumo is a great place but if you want a soft, quiet place to have a serious conversation, maybe save it for another time....

This means those dishes aren't truly gluten free for people with celiac disease or anyone who has to avoid gluten. When I pointed that out to my server, he just gave me a blank stare. I tried to explain why labeling those items as gluten free is misleading, but he seemed completely disinterested, even annoyed, dismissed what I was saying, and simply responded that the pasta is gluten free. I acknowledged that the server doesn't write the menu, but absolutely zero customer service skills. The service overall was lacking. Aside from taking our order, no one checked on us or came back to see if we needed anything. Our server was just hanging out chatting up the hostess. We had to request the bill from the manager & paid at the hostess stand. Before paying, I spoke with the manager and explained what had occured. He was more professional than the server, but he was still dismissive of my concerns and of the service we received. Management seemed happy enough to promote the "option". The food was okay, definitely not enough to make up for the poor service and handling of a serious dietary issue. Needless to say I will not be returning.
