We have been going to Upper Crust for nearly 15 years, and I can say it's the best pizza place around. When my daughter, who is now 20, was in Kindergarten, her class went on a field trip to Upper Crust, and she got to try her little hand at pizza making! We live a few miles away and have to drive past at least 3 other pizza places on our way to Upper Crust. Their pizzas are really that good, the service is wonderful and consistent, and the atmosphere is lively and relaxed. Nobody has ever tried to "eye-f%#k" me or my family while eating there, so I'm not sure what the other reviewer was really trying to say. As to the reviewer who commented the people there wouldn't know a Bentley....he needs to go back to his ivory tower and let us common folks enjoy our pizza and beer sans his elitist ramblings . The only complaint I have, and I need to mention it to them next time I'm there, is that the restrooms are badly in need of upgrading. read more

My husband and I eat here without fail every time we are in Palm Springs. Their wings are dynamite, their antipasto salad is the best around and the pizza is fantastic. Been to the Beverly Hills Upper Crust and posted a review. If this place is anything like the one in Beverly Hills then beware. Eating what they call Pizza is among the worst Pizza I've ever eaten and given this place is located in the desert, one can only assume it's worse. If you're brave or stupid enough to open a restaurant in the desert, then you are taking an enormous risk because of the logistics problem getting help that are willing to move there. Very good pizza, ordered the family combo paid extra for xl size. Prices here are very expensive but nothing spectacular. I would only come back for the half and half salad. The customer service was pleasant, no attitude from any of the 6 employees we requested assistant and ordered from. Pizza crust could've been maybe a little bit thicker to prevent burning. It was crispy. Cool place though. 4 stars not 5 ONLY because really pricey. read more

Love the pasta salad and pizza here. A bit pricey compared to other pizza places but we still enjoy eating here. Aside from those 2 dishes, I've never been too impressed with the other food (pasta, calzone, salad or chicken. My boyfriend had the wings and he said they were good when fresh but after a few minutes became gummy and he couldn't finish them. We had the "special" and it was pretty good, definitely above average. The pizza had a nice crust and was stacked with a lot of toppings that are familiar on your normal combination pizza: pepperoni, sausage, and a lot of veggies. The quality of the crust was great (although a little bit greasy) and the quality of the toppings was good too. Once I soaked up some of the grease, I fully enjoyed this pizza. The only complaint I had was that their sizes were smaller that I'm used to: I think their biggest size, the large was only 12 or 14 inches and didn't quite serve all four semi-hungry adults. Ask for Allan, he's the best pie maker in the desert!! This locally-owned pizzeria is one of the best pizza places around. My favorites include the antipasto salad (enough for 2-4 people), breadsticks (baked as big as a medium pizza) and just about any pizza they can make. Everything is made in house, including most of the salad dressings! They also serve beer and wine. Clean-up service can be a little slack when they get busy, but that's because they're busy cooking some seriously good Italiano grub in the kitchen. Have patience and life will be good:) read more

Heavy pizza dough. Condiments are okay. Overall an okay pizza but you can find better. Also had the lasagna which was delayed due to not firing in the kitchen. The guy who brought the pizza took our number so it took about five minutes longer to figure out if it was mine or not. Crew is nice but way focused on something other than customer service. The sauce is aromatic and taste good on the pizza and lasagna. Salad was fresh but flat from sitting waiting to be served. The Bleu Cheese dressing was excellent. I've been coming here since I was 5. Needless to say, i am a HUGE fan of this place and love coming back. I've always loved their pizzas, either getting the Pepperoni and Jalapeno, but i have more recently gotten into their Calzones. OGM, those things are good! I would suggest the "Hombre" Calzone, but don't feel afraid to experiment with the toppings, I also like having olives, sausage, and pepperoni. Being a local of the area, this place is always a place I want to return to to eat, but having a laundry list of places that I grew up with, I always find myself having to choose. We have been here 3 times and I have to say this time was not good. The food was good but everything else was not. The first two times we had impeccable service fully and completely so that set the tone. The guy who took our order had no clue what he was doing... didn't even know what fountain drinks they have. Unquestionably the best pizza I've had in at least 10 years - maybe ever (I'm from Detroit in the day so I know what good pizza is). I can't remember a better pizza outside of Detroit 45 years ago. Even the crust is to die for. I have not tasted bread in any form, this delicious, since my last trip to Europe. The Italian sausage is outstanding. The other items are real stuff, fresh, and really good - and lots of it. If you don't get bowled over by this pizza, stick to Pizza Hut - its way cheaper and believe me, you'll never know the difference. We went here because I didn't feel like Bill's (which some people [including my friends] rave over - I say nothing really special there, but it's OK). My friends are new converts. Just some damn good food. Uppercrust has been a favorite of mine for over 10 years. Their half and half salad is so simple yet legendary. They have the best ranch around. Hot sandwich?! YES PLEASE! Got there at 9:30 and the only girl working on a Monday night told me they are only doing take out orders. So... This is second time that my order was not done right. Few months ago they completely forgot my order or lost my ticket. After about 30 minutes when i went back to the counter, they said it will be just a few more minutes. As i am watching their body language i realized they actually forgot to put my wings in the oven. So i get my wings about another 20 minutes later. No sincere apologies or discounts offered. 2nd time today, i order 12 count wings. After 20 minutes the guy comea in with 6 wings tells me they accidentally only dropped 6 but the other 6 is coming in 5 minutes. I finish the 6 count, waited another 10 minutes (after finishing my beer and the 6 count) no wings. So i chose to just get up and leave. Not to mention i paid the full price but knowing they won't do anything from my previous experience i just left. Conclusion: Never ever going back. I eat out on a daily basis and always give a restaurant 2 to 3 chances. I have officially put this one on my black list today. read more

Suuuper good! Was at a work class and my coworker recommended we go here for the break... was great. I got a lunch special with a mini-personal pizza, salad, and soda ($11 I think?). I figured the salad would just be tiny and plate filler... it was big. Just a plain old ice burg lettuce garden salad with some shredded mozzarella, but it was nice. The mini pizza... not so mini. Just left Upper Crust Pizza in Cathedral City. Horrible customer service. I called in the lunch special and an extra slice of pizza to go. Guy who took order said 10 minutes. I am on my lunch break so let him know I would be right there to pick it up. I get there and it takes the staff a while to acknowledge that I am standing at the counter. Young woman checks me in and takes my payment but still waiting. Staff there are one, not paying attention and two, are still disregarding that I am waiting. Finally they ask and then come to realize that my order was waiting in a "warming" cabinet. Nice young man asks if he can warm it up but the young lady (who doesn't care) states that "no it's ready" shoving my food into a bag. Knowing full well it's just been sitting and food is cold. Again still no food and no one taking any responsibility that there was a mix up or to fix the problem. I let them know I have to leave for work. Still don't care. I tell them just do the order another since I have to leave. I leave telling them just have it for Monday then realize it's my families funeral service. Call them back to cancel payment instead and still even after that I get told that the manager is busy. On the phone there are no apologies only that "it's the lunch rush hour". Finally someone gets on the phone and slowly tells me "I ..am ..cancelling ..the ..card ..right.. now.." no explanation-no remedy-no apologies. Horrible So I guess I am just waiting for the next business day to see if the payment was truly cancelled. read more
