Great pizza. One slice came out to $6.96 A bit pricier but I love the thin crispy crust. It's right around the corner of a busy street and limited seating! Please be aware. Very fast they rewarm the slice and finish it off based on which is your choice

Really really good pizza. Loved the flavor options. Lots of vegetarian options. Anywhere else it'll be the best in the world but since it's nyc I'd say it was just a little greasy.

Corner pizza place that smelled pretty good when I walked by so it prompted me to stop in and grab a slice and some garlic knots. The only eat in option is some tables they have set up on the sidewalk. So more of a grab and go place but I used the table and it was fine. The slice was pretty good and so were the knots but the sauce was cold.

Small counter pizza shop-- Glad that they now have a vegan tomato pie as well as some other veggie options . Upside pizza has expanded their menu , while this location compete with other neighboring dollar pizza spots . The pizza quality and service at upside pizza prevails

Vodka Slice

In my mind the most underrated pizza place in the area. My favorite place to go for a slice, highly recommend the vodka slice. Packed wit flavor i absolutely love it and always try to stop by when in the area.

Excellent, fresh pizza in Manhattan! Crust tasted amazing and there was a perfect amount of every ingredient. Decently priced slices!

Stale Came here because we were staying across the street and didn't want to wait 30 min for Joe's pizza. It was 11 PM on a Friday night. No wait. We got the cheese pizza. The guy put it in the oven super quick. Tried a bite, and it was stale and disappointing. The hubby chunked it after that and mad he wasted $4.

Sicilian Pepperoni & Cheese Slice

One of my go-to pizza places whenever I'm in the area. Was a favorite of mine for lunch when I worked a few blocks away as well. Sicilian pepperoni is always fresh and cheesy, can't go wrong with a plain cheese slice too. Be sure to have Apple Pay or credit card as they've gone cashless of late. Not much seating but they have a few tables outside where you can gather up and enjoy. 5/5 every time!!!

Pepperoni square

It's a 3.5 if I could. Good slice. Nothing spectacular. It reminded me of a cheaper Ace's Pizza square. The outside is nice and crispy. The pepperonis felt a little dry. Very friendly staff. I'm glad it was hot.

There is a pizza spot on just about every corner in New York but I decided to try Upside Pizza. This is a nice spot for carry out only, no tables to sit in and eat. Ordered a half pepperoni/half cheese pizza pie which was $30. It was good, hot and plentiful. The customer service was great.

Really great late night pizza. On our last night in NY we did the taste test, Upside Pizza vs Berlina Cafe since they were across the street from each other on the way back to our hotel. Upside Pizza was the clear winner. The service was really fast, but more importantly, the pizza was hot, crispy and tasty. Pretty standard set up with a counter and an oven behind it, really efficient. The crust was crispy and tasty, the pepperoni were those small ones that end up with a nice meaty grease, but in a good way. Highly recommend for late night eats. Also gotta give love to the mushroom pizza, it was pretty bomb too.

Delicious pizzeria right by Penn Station on 8th Avenue. Great to get slices to go on the train. Nice. Thanks Luis for fantastic service taking great care of my order.

This pizza was amazing. I could smell it as we were walking and it looked fantastic. I love the pizza by the slice places. They had a couple tables where you could stand and eat otherwise you take it to go. It tasted great and it was ready quick!

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

As traditional Neapolitan-style pizza is known for its soft, thin dough, puffy, charred crust, the Don Antonio version is well executed. Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

We started with two fabulous drinks: An Espresso Martini and their signature Limoncello Margarita. We shared the Shaved Brussel Sprout Salad and it was fabulous. The bits of bacon, combined with the spiciness of the pepper spices, made this a perfect starter. The entree was also shared and it was the Spicoli 2.0 Pizza. I cannot recommend this pie, enough. You will taste flavors that you've probably never experienced before with a pizza. Also, the different textures of the arugula, creaminess of the cheese, and the perfect crust will make it a memorable selection. For dessert, we shared the Buttermilk Panna Cotta. Each spoonful of those strawberries, dancing with the firm custard and glaze, made this a stupendous cap to the meal.

Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!

First of all, Rob is so much fun, an excellent waiter, and very willing to go the extra mile for you.
