In my opinion, Urban Pine is, by far, the best and most affordable food in downtown Flag. The flatbread pizzas are flavorful and slightly crispy, and the ingredients are always fresh and higher quality than most places around. The build your own salads are always exceptional, and I love their house dressings. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Anyone saying they're overpriced doesn't eat out in Flag, lol. We can't even get McDonald's for the price we eat here, and Urban Pine doesn't send everyone running for the toilet like McD's! And aren't flatbread pizzas supposed to be slightly blackened around the edges? Mine haven't been the past few times, and I hope that's not because of the commenter here on Yelp. Still delicious either way, though! I'm still holding out that they'll have some wine on their menu eventually, but we'll keep going back regardless. read more

So glad we tried this new spot! We went in for post-hike lunch on a weekday afternoon, and the service was upbeat and friendly. The food was delish! It's like an elevated take on a pizza parlor of the past. I had the Zesty Italiano salad--perfect balance of ingredients and textures, all remarkably fresh and crisp. My husband had the artisan mac and cheese, which was super rich--not for the faint of heart haha. We shared garlic knots, which came with marinara sauce; we asked for ranch as well, and they were accommodating. (Definitely recommend adding a ranch option for knot dipping.) Fountain drink size was generous. The decor was woodsy and welcoming, and it was fun to people watch sitting at the high top counter along the window. (Most comfy high top seats I've ever sat in, to be honest. They were putting up new ones while we were there.) We'll definitely be back next time we're in Flagstaff! The staff was very nice. Being able to eat outside was nice, but it's on the sidewalk, so not amazing atmosphere. It wasn't a lot of food for the money. About $15 per meal. The flatbread would fill a mild appetite, but not a hungry man. The meatball sub was maybe 7". Nothing was bad, just not that flavorful. It tasted like I could make at home. The pizza crust was just unflavorful crispy bread. The pesto and the chicken on top didn't have much flavor. The sub bread was pretty plain tasting, same with the meatballs and sauce. Took my family to Urban Pine for MLK Day weekend. We went hiking that day and we were hungry! We stopped by Urban Pine and were greeted with smiles. We ordered their pizza and mac n cheese. My daughters are picky eaters and they loved the food! In fact we ordered another pizza. The atmosphere was laid back and decor fit the setting. It was delicious and beautifully mixed with an amazing array of ingredients. My wife had the Meatball Sub (tasty and enough for a second meal) with perfectly seasoned fries. Urban pine has friendly staff, clean dining area and restroom, and some seating outside which was nice especially since the restaurant is rather small so seating is limited. However, it's a casual place where you order at the counter as opposed to being waited on so it's a good spot for takeout too. We had the chicken tender and fries, kale salad, and mango peach refresher. Everything was good, I especially enjoyed the refresher which comes in a 32oz cup.
