My husband and I went to Urban Prime for lunch on a whim. It was awesome. Devin and Brock provided us the best service and recommendations we have experienced in a very long time. I had the lobster rolls, which were very good, and hubby had shrimp carbonara special. He loved, he hasn't eaten pasta since he was in the Navy and went to an Italian families home outside Aviano AB in 1982. He loved it. Devon and Brock found out we are celebrating 40 years of marriage and surprised us with a apple bread dessertv with Happy Anniversary in chocolate and fresh berries and whipped cream! It was phenomenal. They shared recommendations for other good restaurants. They were more than we could hope! We hope they thrive because you can tell Devin and Brock love what they do. Came for the first time to try out local steak house. I should note we working the food industry. Ambiance was fine and our server while nice seemed a bit out of sorts. The real issue was the food. The calamari was fresh and had good flavor. The barata was also very good. The issue came with the main courses. The soup, vegetable beef had good flavor but was over salted. Keep in mind I like my food with a good amount of salt always. Next came the saltimbocca. The chicken was dry and the entire plate was too salty, including the mashed potatoes. We ordered three steak plates, filet, ny strip and a rib eye. All ordered medium rare. All but the filet came medium well. They did refire the two steaks and they came back medium to medium rare. The fifth plate was crab and lobster ravioli had good flavor but had a large piece of crab shell. At no point did a manager come to speak to us after sending the steaks back. The chef was walking around socializing. Also the ladies room was unkept and smelled of sulfur and body order. Needless to say it was a very bad experience. I really expected more. A five top table leaving very dissatisfied. read more

We, a party of three, made a reservation for Saturday night. Upon arrival, we had had a short wait for our requested booth. This was our first visit. The restaurant areas are spacious, but this lends to, I believe, an increase to noise level. It was difficult to speak and hear each other in conversation. Add to this a few 'unruly' customers who were whooping and hollering and it was almost unbearable at times. Fortunately, I did observe the waitstaff addressing the excessive noise with the customers. The food took a little longer than expected due to a large party getting in before us. I have to say, the atmosphere will not bring us back, but the food will. My sister had Salad with Steak, hubby had the Beef Tips with a Baked Potato, I had the Pumpkin Braised Short Ribs. Everything was cooked to perfection. Food was Delicious and at perfect temperature even though it took awhile. We were so full, but for dessert we had the Mango Sorbet. A great end to a great meal. While there and waiting for our table we visited the attached Marketplace. I do believe in the near future we will be shopping for to go items to add to our meals at home. All in all and in summary, it's very noisy, but the food is so good, and so many steaks and dishes to try, we will be back. read more

We had reservations and were seated in a timely manner, our waiter provided great service. The reason we will not return is the food. There were two orders of the $85 Wagyu Ribeye (16oz), both ordered medium rare. The order took quite some time to reach the table, but expected for a Friday evening. Both steaks were served, after cutting into them, the steaks lacked the traditional look, feel and taste of Wagyu. I questioned both the wait staff and manager if it was really Wagyu. The manager offered to take both of them back without argument, which I found nice but, also concerning. The second try arrived and the steaks were the same cuts but cooked rare (black and blue style). I again asked that the steak be taken back. Without argument they were taken back and removed from the bill. The manager was nice enough to give us a gift card and the wait staff treated us well. There were two other dishes at the table that were enjoyed. Overall nice atmosphere, good wait staff, but I can't get over the quality of the food for the price they are asking. read more

I had great hopes for Urban Prime. We went for lunch. I got the fish n chips. The most expensive fish n chips I have ever ordered so I expected great things. The only good things I can say about it was that the french fries were fresh and crisp and the fish tasted fresh. The cole slaw had huge chunks of cabbage that were tough to chew and the breading on the bottom of the fish was soaking wet. Not a little soggy but very very wet. I've never gotten fried fish before that was so soggy. It was very tricky to eat as that wet part was unpleasant in the mouth. I was with a couple lady friends so I did not send it back. Aaron is an amazing server. He made our lunch very enjoyable. Of course it doesn't hurt that the food and drinks are always done very well. between 6 of us we tried many different dishes and all were delicious. My favorite is always the Kale salad and I add filet. When at a restaurant that specializes in steak -why not! It's always done perfectly and no knife required. We can also recommend the grilled cheese (Brie) sandwich, the mushroom soup(!!), and sliders. My friend has special diet restrictions which we're honored without issue. Second time here for dinner. First time was eh but family in town so decided to try again. Food poisoning 1/26 from the sea bass entree!!Fortunately only one of us ordered it. The $50 filet mignon was tender but no flavor. The Prime Steak Sauce ($3) was ketchup. The calamari dipping sauce was not good (green citrus). The cheesecake was store bought and did not taste fresh. So long so that the drinks were watered down by the time we got them. Staff had zero clue or concern about clearing or pre-busing tables. Empty appetizers plates sat on table for over 20 minutes. Let's start with the space... It's a market/grocery store of expensive imported items, "fresh" produce, and some things that you can find at Walmart or Marshall's for half price. You're greeted by a automatic door and a checkout counter. Beyond this, you'll walk through a hallway of wines to a bar area where the host stand is to the left and not straight ahead. The ambiance is noisy, bar like, and standard golf course "nice." Service was friendly, with our server, but slowish from the kitchen to receive salad and soup after the appetizer. Now, the reason we go to restaurants: food. Let's just say, no. No, no, nope. Not how this should be cooked. MasterChef home cooked would be verbally crucified for cooking calamari the way you did. So, here's the lesson. Calamari should have breading that stays on. The breading on the calamari should not taste of raw flour. Fried/crispy food should not have squishy avocado has the bed that it's served on - it makes it soggy. It therefore should not have the sauce you want us to dip it in covering the top. The sauce itself was too much lemon and the general flavor of the calamari was bland. Not to mention, the surprises of the banana and red peppers in the mix were...interesting. The Caesar salad had the anchovy as full filets over the top of an underdressed romaine lettuce with Parmesan crisp that were somewhat over crisped in flavor, but still not crispy in texture. Go figure. The "award winning - best soup in Brevard" mushroom soup was good and was the highlight of the meal. Sadly, the entree was sent back. Risotto cake with short rib....under seasoned beef that tasted of fat broth. The tenderness was good, but the flavor lacked on all points. The risotto was undercooked and under seasoned...all sitting in a pool of broth that was under seasoned. We had high hopes, but our experience, and that's all it was, one time, one chance, was under whelming and did not leave us wanting to come back. read more

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful late lunch this afternoon. It was our first visit to the restaurant and market! It was wonderful. A great lunch spot. We had one of the best servers that we've had in a long time. Erich promptly served us water as soon as we sat down. He went over the entire menu with us explaining the specials and favorites! He was very knowledgeable as well as personable. They have a great wine list and specialty cocktail menu. The market was pretty spectacular too. If you haven't been, go check it out! Especially Amici's, which used to be our favorite Not anymore The staff, service and food are amazing each time at Urban Prime. Our waitress last night, Brittney was attentive and very personable. Sweet girl and an excellent wait person. My only recommendation as it is considered an upscale restaurant, is all staff should be dressed more professionally. The wait staff are dressed appropriately but the food runners and anyone in and out of the dining area should be dressed appropriately with button down shirts and nice slacks and shoes for a restaurant at this level and especially pricing T-shirts with the restaurant logo on the back is for a sports bar or a TGIF. A button down black shirt alone with the logo would even suffice. The Tshirts have to go. They are a bit of a turn off paying these prices in such a beautiful restaurant Also there was one young man with shoulder length dark hair walking around which is probably or should be a violation issue. The mushroom soup that everyone raves about is very tasty, but extremely salty. The lobster rolls are fresh and well seasoned, but the portion consists of 2 rolls for $38. It's just too much to eat. Why not offer 1 roll? The apple endive salad was mostly arugula (which is ok because I love it) but there was NO endive. When I mentioned this to the waiter, he went back to the kitchen and said the chef said there was finely sliced endive, and continued to insist that there was endive in the salad. I repeat.... I had a filet mignon which was cooked correctly, but unfortunately it wasn't very tasty and tough. They did not give me a steak knife with my meal.. The raviolis tasted OK but it was almost like a soup not very appetizing. Seabass was all right. Ordered the sauce on the side thank goodness cause it was mediocre at best. Nope won't be going back. Just came here to offset the review complaining about being sat where you could see the server station. I also was sat at this table and enjoyed a fabulous meal. If i wanted a different view, I simply turned my head slightly to the left. Service was great. We enjoyed a bottle of wine, warm bubbly cheesy crab dip served with a baguette to start, soup du jour which was a black bean chorizo soup packed with flavor, a filet that wasn't overly seasoned cooked perfectly, and last but not least, the star of the show was the wild mushroom ravioli. Skip the espresso martini, and the complimentary bread wasn't my favorite, but all else a great experience. Wish we had room for dessert. Next time! read more
