This was my first time eating here. I wanted to try something new and fresh. Was reading the feedbacks on this place which does help me if i should try a food place or not. I went ahead and looked at the menu. The prices are pretty good. Not overly expensive and so many delicious items. I went ahead and ordered the Santa Maria BBQ Sandwich and the T.N.T Sandwich . I first tried the SM BBQ sandwich and man i was really enjoying in. Very delicious and the BBQ sauce wasn't too much if you know what i mean. Some food places put too much bbq sauce. This place did it right. I must say this sandwich for now is my #1. Now the TNT sandwich was just ok. I felt the pepperchini's over took the taste of the whole sandwich. Maybe adding bacon would give it more flavor maybe or just don't add pepperchini's. I'm gonna say from 1 to 5 stars, i'm gonna give that sanwich a solid 3 stars. Sooooooooo good. I have been wanting to check this place out for the longest time. I was so happy I was able to stop by today. It exceeded my expectations. Everything was fresh. Yelp came to my rescue as I had 2 colleagues from Germany visiting who had certain requests for food. This beautiful business may be my next favorite place when I want something healthy but still filling and flavor packed. The service from Kacey or Lacey I believe it was when ordering made it easy for all of us. I went with the Santa Maria bbq chicken salad and my oh my! It exceeded my expectations by far. I'm a huge ranch fan so when they had a chipotle ranch, I had to try it. I wish they sold bottles of it, it's that good. Very clean space and plenty of seating for everyone who wants to dine in and see the fresh made bread getting baked. Love Urbane Cafe, but this location treated me terribly. Long story short: the Manager messed up my order (it was supposed to be a Santa Maria BBQ salad, not the sandwich version). She didn't apologize for the mistake even though she took my order in the first place. Was upset for the mistake, took away the messed up sandwich and took my receipt after I was told I can keep it by a worker. Manager gave me my salad and said "Here is your SALAD!" in a sarcastic way. When deciding what to eat for salads, she recommended the Santa Maria BBQ salad after claiming it was a "heart" favorite. There is a Santa Maria BBQ Chicken sandwich option that costs less. She input it wrong, not me. Take ownership! Don't be upset for your mistakes when I never mentioned the sandwich. Avoid this location. Again, I am a huge fan of Urbane Cafe, just not this one and it was a first time of me going here. Check your order before they make it, you are warned. read more

We sure wish we had known about this restaurant before, but only came across it while searching for a restaurant (here on Yelp) near the Promenade mall that we had not eaten at before watching a movie at the theater. The interior was set up quite nicely and was overall clean and modern looking. The employee we interacted with when ordering was good to go, having patience while we contemplated the menu. I ordered the Chimichurri Steak sandwich (tri tip steak, housemade chimichurri sauce, feta, arugula, cranberry chutney aioli). The wife ordered the Cranberry Brie sandwich (roasted turkey, French brie, housemade cranberry chutney, arugula, herb aioli). Both sandwiches came with their house side salad. We also ordered a side of their homemade (in-house) Focaccia Bread and dip. The sandwiches are also made on their homemade Focaccia BTW. The plates (real plates, not disposable plates) were brought out to our table in about 20 minutes. After one bite we both looked at each other and said, at the same time, "this is so good!" Both sandwiches, albeit we did not sample each others, had a decent amount of meat and accoutrements, so much overall great flavors and the Focaccia bread itself was a delight (both as part of the sandwich and the stand alone side order). We have our go-to place in Temecula for "cold" sandwiches and "hot" sandwiches. We now have our place in Temecula for "gourmet" sandwiches! I know we will be back for more of this outstanding food. If anything changes I'll be sure to post and update. I am attaching photos of the most recent menu prices, as of 06/06/2023, for ones consideration. The salmon looks totally rotten . Even worse I paid exhorbant delivery fees for this food because I am starving and had a lot to do. I'm also immunocompromised but like it matters. 0 chance I would eat this anyways. And I literally NEVER complain to restaurants about rotten food. This is only the second time in my life that I have and only once I got food poisoning. I didn't eat this and I'm still starving. This food is going to be stinking up my trash can for a week. Can you say rotten meat smell. And trash day is Monday even my husband and my mom who is totally not a germaphobe (leaves food out way too long and will brush scraps off the counter top back into the dish while cooking) begged me not to eat this and were worried about me. I called the restaurant hoping they would want to know that they have rotten salmon in their stock. I actually called just to be polite and let them know because I care for the health and safety of others but low and behold the manager did not care. Her response was that I should contact Uber eats for a refund. I even offered her a picture which she declined. All I was asking was for her to please agree to check the salmon stock as it looks like someone mistakenly didn't date check / rotate and she refused. I threatened to call the health department and write a bad review and then she asked me what I wanted. I again repeated to please check the salmon and she would NOT agree. I love this place and come often. However, when I'm on the go I like to order take out for pick up. It's now been at minimum 3 times my order is incorrect. I asked for Chipotle ranch, I get some green vinaigrette. I pay for an extra wedge, it's missing. It's not major but still affects how I like to enjoy my salad. I was in town for the weekend and the person I'm with suggest I try Urbane Cafe. The restaurant initially began in Ventura of 2003. They are constantly growing as a family-owned restaurant currently in California and I'm so thrilled they have one in Temecula. It's a nice casual dining place near the mall and you will find them right next to Coldstone. The interior is very clean, they have an outdoor patio, and service is friendly. Kendall placed our order and is patient when we were asking a bunch of questions about the menu. I love what they stand for and what they offer and that's food made fabulously fresh, simply delicious, and straight from the hearth. They offer a variety of sandwiches including chicken, vegetarian, turkey, and steak, they make unique salads and soup, and there is a menu just for kids. I ordered the Local Beet Salad ($8.45), which is nutrient dense packed with fresh mixed greens of arugula, spinach, tri-colored quinoa, red and gold beets, goat cheese, avocado, red grapes, a pecan cranberry trail mix served with a housemade focaccia bread. You have a choice of salad dressing and I went for garlic sesame. The Local Beets is super flavorful! Lots of great texture and it taste delicious with garlic sesame dressing, which is amazing and spicy. It's also a great dip for their fresh baked bread. The Rustic Rosemary Sandwich ($8.95) has rosemary chicken breast topped with melted mozzarella cheese, a julienned mix of heirloom carrots, apples & beets, arugula, and chutney aioli. This sandwich is so savory! Meat is also very tender and the focaccia bread is a must have. Their housemade bread is soft, light and airy. Nothing like the kind of bread you would get from the store. They actually have an in house hearth oven to make fresh baked focaccia bread daily. For dessert they offer cookies ($1.95 each) like chocolate chip, triple chocolate, raspberry, lemon, and oatmeal. The person I'm with had the Chimichurri Steak Sandwich ($10.50) which is a marinated chimichurri tri tip steak with arugula, feta cheese, and chutney aioli. He says meat has perfect seasoning and it taste very tender. Portion is just the right amount for one hungry person. He really enjoyed how the sandwich is flavorful and compliment how well it taste great with their house salad. While dining in, we had a chance to speak to Denise who is a catering manager and she is very helpful and knowledgeable about the restaurant's growth and expansion. The atmosphere feels relaxing and we enjoyed songs that were mostly popular radio hits. I love their food concept, anything you order from their menu is made absolutely fresh and taste delicious! I don't know why I didn't try this place sooner!! It's SO delicious and they have TONS of vegan options! I couldn't choose just one item, everything sounded really good. I got the Abbot's Southwest salad & the Californian sandwich with no mozzarella cheese. The bread is incredible & made in-house! The salad looked just like the photos they advertise with. Although only select items on the menu are listed as vegan, you can sub tofu on the meaty sandwiches and request no cheese to make tons of vegan options. The sandwich I got came with a side salad with mandarin oranges and vegan feta on it. Delicious! The customer service was great as well. The girl checked ingredients for me, such as the pesto, to confirm if it was vegan (it's not). I appreciated her taking the time to verify for me. The restaurant itself is very clean and comfortable. Fresh healthy delicious and quick So glad we stopped by here as we charged our car at the supercharger in the same plaza. At first the pictures of the bread was questionable but once you bite into it it's not dry at all and goes well with the flavors in the sandwich perfectly. When they got their food, not even halfway through, BOTH of their dishes had long black hairs in them. My sister is shy and never wants to cause trouble, but her boyfriend encouraged her to speak up When she did, the employees pulled the hairs out of their food- almost as if they were trying to determine if the hair came from my sisters head- she had blonde hair- so definitely not the case. They ended up throwing away their food because it grossed them out so bad. They had to fight to get their money back-- and honestly the worst part of it that's making me feel encouraged to write this review -- is that they were COMPLETELY unapologetic. No apology whatsoever. And just rude- basically take your refund money and get out. I get it that accidents happen - but OWN UP TO IT. Start wearing hairnets when working with food. Up your hygiene standards and customer service training. It's not hard to make something right when your kind and apologetic- especially to someone who is meekly pointing something out to you.
