This poke place is great! I stopped by on the way back home from an errand run with my girlfriend after noticing the plaza & the other surrounding food places on the road. We settled on poke because of the craving, and she had a very good experience with the other location in Costa Mesa (as of Feb 2024). The place was very clean and spacious, with extremely welcoming staff. We decided to get the 3 Scoops offering which ran us about $16 to share, and compared to other poke places I've been to, it felt a lot like more. You can easily share anything past the 2 Scoop option with another person, or have more for yourself because the amount of fish/sides/etc altogether were huge!! At the time of this review (and I believe in the spirit of Lunar New Year?), the staff were also running a small promo for fun where you can draw a piece of paper in a box for a chance at a bonus item. My girlfriend and I did it and while I didn't score anything, she won a choice of either a free miso soup or hot tea which was nice! All in all, I will definitely be coming back and hope to see more locations pop up all throughout SoCal in the future. read more

Good, solid poke spot. Make sure to check in so that you can get a free miso soup :D It was pretty empty around noon this Saturday when I went, so creating my bowl went pretty quickly. You can get a bang for your buck with the $13 for two scoops of protein, so don't be fooled! Selection-wise, keep in mind that you are limited to 6 sides (but there are no extra charges for anything like avocado or crab meat). One of my favorite Poke places! I just keep coming back! The portions are HUGE and the fish is generally pretty fresh. The staff are very friendly too and offer a free miso soup with Yelp check-in! The tables are a little sticky, but there is also additional seating outside. Plenty of utensils are readily available as well as additional sauce or condiments if you just ask. Now, after mixing it with the spicy mayo n all sauces, it tasted much better. The side topping is nice, they don't charge you extra for seaweed salad, nor crab salad which is always a plus. Loved how they give you the option to sear your fish; aburi style. Much better but it is quite pricey at $2. Worth it though. Gives a whole new taste profile. Used to go with the OG style and have the sashimi just raw as is, but after trying it aburi style. Torched with the sauce combine. It's hard to go back to normal poke. read more

For example: if the menu says 6 sides I would like to be able to add 2 of the same side or offer an extra charge. I stopped by at this location twice in the past few weeks, the food is ok, but both times I had a terrible experience with the customer service, I don't want to generalize all other servers base on one person, but both times I got served by the same dude and I honestly think he shouldn't be working at food industry at all. He's rude and handle food at an unsanitary way, didn't pay attention at what the customer was saying at all. The first time I got there I was completely clueless, I was just trying to ask if the mushroom counts as a protein, without hesitation this dude already puts mushrooms in my bowl and charged me for an extra protein, I then told him I wouldn't be having mushrooms if I know it's considered a protein and he just ignored me and go straight to the next step. He didn't pay attention at what my boyfriend was saying neither, he asked for double salmon and double tuna but he only gave him one for each and we have to repeat our request again just because the server wasn't listening. He looks new because he's EXTREMELY slow with what he's doing, I'm seeing other workers finished their bowl way faster and I had 2 people behind me went over us just because their servers know what they are doing and completed their bowl way faster. What really bothered me was how rude he was. I noticed that other employees always change their gloves before mixing the sauce, but he didn't. He used the same gloves that had already touched many other things, there was even avocado stuck on them from somewhere, and then put his hands straight into my bowl to mix the sauce. I honestly found that very unacceptable and unsanitary. Right after that, when we were checking out, he knocked over my boyfriend's bowl. What shocked me even more was that he picked up the food that had fallen onto the table and put it back into the bowl right in front of us and handed it back to us. How is that even acceptable? I honestly couldn't tolerate it anymore and asked him how we were supposed to eat that food. Unfortunately, instead of taking responsibility, he asked another girl who was already busy to remake the bowl for us while he just stood there and watched others apologize to us and redo the work that he should have handled himself. I honestly don't understand why this server was still working there when we came back a month later and ended up having him served us again. Both visits were very negative experiences because of him. I'm giving two stars only because the food itself was good, and the other workers didn't seem to have the same issues as he did. read more

Today I went with my partner to grab a poke with her. Unfortunately we did not have a good service experience from the staff there as when my partner was ordering her Poke. First she wanted more the one topping on her bowl and was willing to pay extra for it but was told by the staff member that we could only get 6 toppings. As we moved along to the protein and the sauce my partner wanted mayo drizzled on top and only the their signature sauce to be mixed but the staff member confused it with mixing it with both mayo and their sauce. Lastly was when she asked for sesame oil mixed as well the staff member pour in one spot of the poke the oil from a to go container making the section very oily and hard to eat. My partner embarrassed to reject the food after all the mistakes made and quite frankly ruining her experience and her lunch. All we ask if for the staff to be a bit better at listening to how we would like our poke prepared and for when we ask for extra topping to not be hit with "you can only choose 6" and not offer a chance to add more for an up charge that we weren't opposed to paying. Again the poke at this location is great but with our experience today I believe we will be going to the Costa Mesa location more frequently due to their customer service being extremely better. read more

I got 5 proteins, 2 scoops of tuna, 1 scoop of salmon, 1 scoop of yellowtail, & 1 scoop of cooked shrimp.. mixed with Uroko sauce, chili oil, & spicy mayo.. on half rice with a side of tortilla chips.. with crab, spicy crab, seaweed salad, mango, & roasted corn.. finished with green onions, crispy garlic, crispy onions, furikake, masago, & lime.. BOMB. Both bowls were delicious. Filling af too. She barely finished hers & I could not finish mine. Great value. Hers was under $15. Mine was under $20. She got hot tea & I got iced tea. What a great find! This is in a little strip mall next to the Courtyard Cypress where we were staying for 1 night. For $14 you get 2 scoops of protein. Normally we don't eat at Poke places. My daughter is vegetarian but they have tofu for her. I don't eat raw fish but for $2.50 they will cook your fish. Perfect! So much food! We had to wait while they cooked more rice, but it was worth the wait! Highly recommend. read more
