I have been going to vanilla rice for the last couple of months and I always appreciated the fact that they made everything fresh and to order, and gave a really big portions making it worth the price. But this time I cannot say that they delivered the same excellence I'm used to. I ordered a plate with steak, salmon and I added chicken. I requested fried rice with NO EGG and that my steak be cooked to a medium temperature. What I got was a plate that had fried rice with egg, steak that was over cooked at a well done temp and salmon that was hard as a rock and dry. None of my food was made to order and even the vegetables were undercooked and very crunchy, I was so disappointed because I'm spending $50+ on this meal and the least they can do is make everything fresh and to order to make it worth the price. I have had a much better experience at the flamingo location but the Charleston location has been hit or miss so I won't be returning to that location. There's plenty of seating if you'd like to eat in, I will say the music is good but a bit loud for a restaurant environment. The service is always top notch and I love the friendly ladies that work in the front.

Small place and good vibes! I was impressed by the service though. Asha who was the cashier came out of her area and made an effort to talk to us about the menu and explain how it works. Great customer service! Food tasted great. Learned about this place on Instagram.

To all my fellow Vegas locals and anyone visiting from out of town -- if you're looking for great food and a chill vibe, you have to check out Vanilla Rice Hibachi! You might not get the traditional hibachi show, but trust me -- the food is the show! The owner, Zach, is an awesome guy, and the atmosphere is just super cool and welcoming. Our server George was so kind and made us feel right at home. We ordered the steak and shrimp plate -- it was so good it disappeared in like 15 minutes. And do not skip the yum yum sauce -- oh my gosh, I'm obsessed! 10/10 -- Highly recommend!

First time was yesterday and I wanted to try this place out. A lovely woman assisted me by helping me order my food on their kiosk. The place is quaint and empty when I arrived. Now, for my honest review: Food is bomb.com - I absolutely loved it. Will I return? That is the question. Even though I love the food here's the reason why I am unsure of returning: -The prices was $36 dollars and some change but it ended up 46.16 (including tip) for just this plate alone. -There is an upsurge charge for getting half noddles which is a $1.00 more. However the plate had more rice and less noodles. So if you want more noodles, my suggestion would be to opt for all noodles. -The veggies were supposed to be zucchini and broccoli (however it was zucchini & onions and no broccoli) In my opinion, the food is absolutely delicious and I give them that but I cannot see myself spending almost $50 for a single plate. The lovely woman who helped me made me feel comfortable with her excellent customer service & therefore, I give this place 4 out 5 stars not just for the food but for her excellent customer service,

    $50 disappointing dollars

I'm gonna give a very very honest review... I seen this place on TikTok I thought it looked so good and I had to try it so I came and first of all it was so expensive plates were $30+ bowls were $24+ ...... off the bat so expensive but I was there so I ordered the steak and shrimp which was almost $50!!!!!!!!! With the tip already included?!?!?!? Anyways it came out and I was pissed and so disappointed I paid for a huge thing of rice and the tiniest bit of steak and a few shrimps ... it didn't look anything like the video the owner had in his hand .. so disappointing it took every ounce in me not to say anything.. the taste was alright but if you gonna charge that much atleast cover that pound of rice in the plate ... idk I won't ever recommend this place u less you have money to waste ... super disappointed his TikTok is false advertising really. $50 for that....

Do not delay coming to Vanilla Rice Hibachi!!! The seasoning and portions of the meal were perfect in my opinion. I went with the steak and shrimp combo w/ Potstickers and let me tell you I was extremely happy. Service was friendly, quick and the whole vibe was just right. Cannot wait to run it back and try even more options from this awesome establishment. Keep up the amazing work!!! Dont forget to ask for extra sauce cause we couldn't get enough lol. Thank you,

Service was good the counter person was nice and explained everything . Inside had plenty of tables .They made and bottle their own lemonade , which I thought was fun and different . I got the steak burrito with extra steak . It was good size and had nice size pieces of steak. Food is made to order so prepare to wait awhile , I felt it was worth it. My only issue was that the prices seemed very high for what was offered . Otherwise not a bad spot for lunch .

Back in the nineties, Vanilla Rice introduced Hibachi Hip Hop to our culture when he released his one-hit wonder 'Rice Rice Baby', which sampled beats from the song 'Under Pressure Cooker'. Since then he's expanded into the food business and he can obviously prepare real good food as well as drop rhymes. Burritos might not be your typical Japanese fare, but when filled with excellent hibachi-grilled meats and veggies they become a nice change from the ordinary. You also can't go wrong with a bowl or larger-sized plate, both with a large mound of fried rice underneath a good-sized portion of meat and an assortment of grilled broccoli, zucchini, and onion. The well-seasoned menu proteins of chicken, shrimp, and steak are all enjoyable...each morsel of steak is tender, flavorful, lacks gristle, and the taste becomes enhanced with home made dipping sauce. The original takeout-only location on East Flamingo has expanded now to a second one on West Charleston, across the street from the CSN campus (Crosby, Stills, & Nash University for those of you new to the area). It's brand new, clean, and has plenty of tables and stools. Vanilla Rice began a few years ago in a pandemic-era food truck and has flourished since then, largely due to word-of-mouth, good chow, and healthy eating compared to many takeout places. They won a Las Vegas Entrepreneur Magazine 'Best Food Truck' award a few years back, so this is legitimate quality food. The staff wears gloves, they sanitize, and they seem like nice people. The owner, Zack, is a personable guy and it's always good to see youngsters in their 20's become successful entrepreneurs. Vanilla Rice is open every day, noon to midnight. Give it a try!

I had the steak and salmon plate couple days ago and had a steak burrito yesterday that was the best food I've had in my life the cook Ayden he needs to be at 5 star Michelin Restaurant 100% would recommend again and again. The customer service from Zaira was amazing I felt comfortable love the hospitality. I felt very at peace in the restaurant that vibes immaculate.

Steak & Shrimp combo with fried rice and veggies

I want to start by saying I've been wanting to try this place for years and I was so excited when one opened closer to me. I happened to be across the street from the Charleston location and decided to try Vanilla Rice because I love hibachi and I was all excited to try the food. I ordered a 2 meat combo with Shrimp & Steak, fried rice and veggies. I also got the spicy garlic edamame. I paid just under $50 for the 2 items. I'll go into more detail about the food but... MY BIG ISSUE IS... the person cooking the food was not in the store when I got there and ordered. The kitchen is open and visible. He came in a few minutes after I ordered and immediately got to cooking. HE DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS and put on one glove, scraped the grill and began cooking. He went to the POS system and touched the POS with his gloved hand and then went back to cooking without changing gloves or washing his hands!! After cooking the main course, He then made my edamame with NO gloves and no hand washing!!! Overall the food was okay. I ordered medium rare steak and it was probably closer to medium well. The portion of shrimp was small. You get A LOT of rice. The spicy garlic edamame wasn't very flavorful and was unevenly cooked. Some were mushy and some were hard. I want to give it another shot. Maybe at the other location because I was so excited to try it. But I'm just really disappointed to see someone walk in from doing who knows what outside the store and then coming in and starting to handle food. The woman working there was nice. The place was dead and even though she was talking with a friend she still was attentive to me

This place is mid at best, none of the food had any flavor even though it appeared to be seasoned. Literally the fried rice would have been better if it was plain white rice. If you call they tell you it's take out only and no phone orders, online or in person only. The inside has a few tables and ZERO air conditioning, my food said it'd be ready between 3:20-3:30 so I went in at 3:16 being optimistic, food wasn't ready till 3:35 which wouldn't have bothered me at all had I not been sweating. I was really excited for this place but probably won't bother going back.

FIRE! The food was one of the best hibachi spots I've had. Especially in Vegas. Johnny was the cook and made sure my food was fresh and flavorful. Nisha had great customer service and was really sweet. I loved the friendliness I felt when I walked in. Music playlist set the ambiance. I do wish they offered like a spicy garlic butter, that would have been a great option for a sauce. But all in all 5 stars! Food was definitely worth it! They offered a good amount of shrimp but I took a picture too late after already digging in

Wow,wow, wow!!!!! Great, delicious food with amazing taste, and the atmosphere was perfect! Johnny and Nesha gave outstanding customer service -- so attentive and friendly. Off the Vegas strip, but worth the visit they will not disappoint!

My family made a reservation because they wanted to celebrate my birthday, so I was really looking forward to it. When it is your birthday, even a small detail feels a little more important. You want the night to feel special, smooth, and happy from the beginning. Unfortunately, when we arrived, there seemed to be a small issue with the reservation, and the table we were given was much smaller than expected. Since we were there as a family for a birthday dinner, it felt uncomfortable at first. I have to be honest -- my mood was not great in the beginning. It was one of those moments where you think, "Oh no, is this how the night is going to start?" But then the food started coming out, and Hachi completely turned the night around. The first thing that changed my mood was the beer. The draft beer was served in an unbelievably icy-cold mug. It was not just cold -- it looked and felt like it had come straight out of a freezer. The foam was smooth, the beer was crisp, and the first sip was so refreshing that I almost forgot I had been upset a few minutes earlier. That beer alone deserves applause. Sometimes a perfect cold beer can fix a whole mood, and this one absolutely did. The biggest highlight of the night was the tuna toro. It was incredible. The texture was so soft and delicate that it almost felt like cotton candy melting in my mouth. Rich, buttery, fresh, and so smooth. It was the kind of bite that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a second. We loved it so much that we ordered it three times. Ordering the same dish three times says everything. It was not a maybe. It was not a "let's think about it." It was a clear yes every time. The skewers were also very good. The grilled meats had a nice smoky flavor, and they were seasoned well without being too salty. They paired perfectly with the icy beer. But the shrimp skewer was especially memorable. The shrimp had that perfect bouncy, juicy texture. It was grilled nicely, still tender, and full of natural sweetness. Some grilled shrimp can become dry or forgettable, but this one had personality. Small skewer, big impact. We also enjoyed several other izakaya-style dishes. The grilled shishito peppers with bonito flakes were simple but delicious, and they helped balance out the richer dishes. The grilled squid had a great smoky flavor and a chewy texture that went so well with beer. These are exactly the kinds of dishes that make izakaya dining so fun -- one bite, one sip, one more bite, and suddenly the table is full of happy people. The sashimi platter was fresh and beautifully served over ice. There was a nice variety, including tuna, salmon, white fish, scallop, and ikura. Everything looked clean and fresh, and the presentation made it feel even more enjoyable. But honestly, the toro was the star. I will probably remember that toro for a long time. My daughter ordered tonkatsu, and that was also a huge hit. Sometimes at restaurants like this, kids' dishes can feel like an afterthought, but this tonkatsu was really good. It was crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. Seeing my daughter enjoy her food made my birthday dinner even better. As a mom, when your child eats well and is happy, the whole meal suddenly feels more peaceful. That is just the truth. Overall, Hachi started with a little frustration because of the reservation issue and the small table, but the food and drinks completely saved the night. The icy-cold beer, the amazing tuna toro, the juicy shrimp skewer, and the tonkatsu were all memorable. The food was strong enough to make us forget the rough beginning, and by the end of the meal, we were all happy. Las Vegas has so many flashy restaurants, but Hachi has that casual, comfortable izakaya charm. It is the kind of place where you order many small dishes, share with the table, drink something cold, and let the night slowly become fun. I would definitely come back next time I am in Las Vegas. Next time, I already know what I am ordering first: an icy-cold beer and tuna toro. And honestly, I may order the toro twice from the beginning, because one order is definitely not enough.

They offer all-you-can-eat for around $35, which honestly seems like a great deal if you can put down some sushi , but we knew we wouldn't eat enough to make it worth it, so we opted to order à la carte instead. We started with the pork belly, which was actually the only thing we didn't care for, so we ended up sending that back. Everything after that, though, was SO good. The garlic spicy salted edamame was delicious and such a good way to start. We also tried several of their all-day specials--the yellowtail carpaccio, crunchy onion albacore, and seared bluefin tuna--and all three were delicious. Normally the specials are limited to one per person with AYCE, but since we were ordering à la carte, we could order however many we wanted. For rolls, I got the A Little Tease Roll and really enjoyed it. My husband got the Call 911 roll, and judging by how quickly it disappeared, I'd say he loved his too . My son kept it simple with a California roll and a cup of rice, which worked perfectly for him. We also shared a lychee nigiri, one of my favorites, and it was super yummy. The ambiance is probably one of my favorite things about this place. It's really fun and feels like somewhere you could come for a date night, but it's still completely comfortable for families. It would also be a great spot to come with a group. The surrounding area looks a little sketchy, so don't let that throw you off. Once you walk inside, it seriously feels like you've been transported somewhere completely different. The restaurant itself is really nice and has such a fun vibe. Definitely recommend checking this place out and trying some of their different sushi rolls and specials. Everything we had (minus the pork belly ) was BOMB. I decided to stop by with my husband to check out the new H Mart on a Saturday afternoon, around noon. Surprisingly the food court wasn't terribly busy and you are still able to find plenty of tables around this time. Anyways, after browsing the restaurants, I ended up deciding upon Saku because I wanted rice and felt like having katsu. I ended up purchasing: Tonkatsu Donburi, $13.75 prior to tax- This bowl was pretty big and really a portion for 2 people. I really wished I had ordered one of the mini donburi bowls instead since my husband ended up deciding he didn't want to share my meal and ended up ordering food at another vendor in the food hall. The bowl had a nice large piece of chicken katsu, plenty of rice, egg, onions, shredded seaweed and a sweet soy sauce based sauce. I really liked it. -------------------------------- (Total= $14.90 after tax) Wait time was about 10 minutes. I just had to wait for my number to be called before heading over to get my tray. Overall, I had a great experience and would consider trying Saku again the next time I am visiting this food hall.

Some of my best dining experiences actually come from food halls inside H Mart shopping centers,…read moreand that trend continued during my visit to Las Vegas. When H Mart opened there, it quickly became one of my first stops for meals. One standout stall was Saku Japanese Eatery, where a sign advertising their Premium Katsu Bento Box immediately caught my eye--and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The bento came with a generous assortment of items, and everything tasted outstanding. My personal favorite was the fried squid, which was perfectly crispy and full of flavor. We enjoyed Saku so much that we ended up coming back again later in the week. The quality, variety, and execution really impressed me, especially for a food hall setting. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and appreciate each bite, and I would happily order the same bento again on a future visit.
