One of the best, if not the best vegan/vegetarian place in the SGV! They've been around for a long time! I knew them when they were over in the focus plaza, now known as tawa gateway. They've since moved over about 1-2 blocks west but parking is much better as if you can't find parking on the main level, you can go park underground, plenty of spaces. It is on the second floor so you gotta go up the stairs otherwise there's an elevator too I believe. The food here is absolutely amazing tasting. It may be a bit on the pricier side but they are meant to be family style so plenty to share. They do lunch specials too which is on the weekdays ( minus holidays), you get a smaller portion of the entree and it comes with rice or porridge. Service is also very good, they can speak a bit of most languages you'd expect: English, mando, canto and viet! I suppose if there's a downside, I'd say that the place isn't too big so can get crowded at peak times and you may have to wait a bit. In those cases they have a manual wait list to put your name down near the entrance of the place. Give this place a try, you won't be disappointed! read more

My mom is very particular about the food she eats so it's rare that we get to take her out to eat or are willing buy food to bring home to her. This one happens to be one of my mom's favorites since it is close to her home and the best part is that you can order online! My family's top favorites are the crispy sesame vege fish, crispy oyster mushroom, vege kidney with baisal, eggplant with baisal, vege pan fried fish with salt and pepper, and dry sauteed green beans. Like the free porridges that came with the lunch specials, needed more salt or something. But other than the seasoning for that, the rest of the food was great! I ordered the Kabocha Squash thing, then there was a roll wrapped in cabbage that was also delicious. I didn't realize the fish thing was spicy, but not too much. I saw a lettuce wrap that looked delicious but I didn't order it. I can't remember it all, but if I ever needed catering, this place would definitely be my go to! This place used to be Vege Paradise in the plaza with 99 ranch. I was so excited to find out that they had just relocated. My family really enjoys coming here for quality vegetarian food. My favorite dishes are the sauteed string beans and the tofu & pumpkin clay pot. The sauce for the tofu and pumpkin is sweet and savory. We also ordered an almond milk pastry dessert. Came here on January of 2025 looking for a new vegetarian restaurant given that Sweet Veggie in El Monte closed down (My favorite place for buffets). Excellent choice here for lunch (10:30-2:30pm). The entrees are either 12.95 or 13.95 and comes with your choice of white, brown rice, or porridge. Their menu is super extensive and covers all the fancy Chinese banquet dishes but in vegetarian form. The menu pics speak for themselves. My son who is a fan of spring rolls and tofu was thoroughly pleased with the taste of all the dishes here. Even the spiciness of the spicy dishes is reasonable for children IMHO. There is so much to explore with variety. Portion sizes are not overwhelming, and the freshness is superb. Service is excellent, with the friendly staff very attentive and quick with food orders and special requests. One warning however is that although the tea was delicious there is a $1.50 charge per person. We don't eat out too much now but this could be standard practice nowadays in the area. read more

My mom loves this place and she's picky. It was her birthday and I wanted to surprise her for dinner. I came in early to place a large order to go for 6pm. I wasn't sure how much food to order for 10 so the hostess helped me out. She very friendly and helpful. She told me how much to order and her top choices. I paid for the food and asked if someone else can pick up the food. No problem. Later in the day I had to change the pick up time and they had no issues with it. My brother in law picked up the food and everything was delicious. We got the hot and sour soup, soft tofu eggplant with basil, sautéed green beans, crispy oyster mushrooms, crispy sesame vege fish, vege house chicken with brown mushroom and crispy chicken nuggets. We went to this place for our family gathering and reserved 6 large tables. Food: 5/5 The food here was delicious. Our expectations were not too high since it was a vegetarian restaurants, but everything tasted authentic and delicious. Unlike other vegetarian restaurant, this place does not try to mimic meats. We ordered a prefix menu for our tables and the portions were huge. They kept bringing out more and more food and we had so much left overs. Our favorite was their red bean mochi balls. We were all so full but when those mochi balls came out, they smelled amazing and no one could resist. Service: 5/5 Their service was fantastic. The severs were all very sweet and attentive. They refilled our tea and water so quickly. The food came out quickly as well. Since there was so much food, the severs were great about helping us transfer the food to smaller dishes so everything would fit on the tables. Other notes: I wish this place was at a more ideal location. It is kind of hidden on the second floor of a popular plaza. I would not think to come here on a regular bases just because they slip my mind when I am thinking of where to eat. I would have to say from the first time I've tried this place and the following visits after I was just blown away at how delicious each dish was. So much incredible flavors and just satisfying- at least in my opinion. I've brought along some meat lovers to this place and they would agree.
