Amazing staff and even better food. I had Vessel catered for a bachelor party of 13. Everyone absolutely loved everything and there was not a bite of food left. They were very accommodating and provided the best recommendations. It was the best pita chips and naan bread I have ever had. It was all fresh, healthy and delicious. You're paying full service nice location restaurant prices for counter service food in a strip mall where you won't even get your beer until after you've finished your meal. Now, the food IS good. But not at this price. Not even close. And the pathetic "we brought your beer 20 mins after your food after you asked twice" dance is unacceptable at any price. Especially theirs. Raised this issue with the management on duty. Apathetic wouldn't even cover it. One star but the food being good saves it at two. But portion size is anemic to say the least as well. Outstanding spot. We opted for the family meal, and it was the perfect amount of food for four people (though if people are very hungry, another side dish may be a good idea). The potato hash, salmon, Mac, and cauliflower were all delicious. The salmon especially was surprisingly very tasty and the Ponzu sauce that came with was a nice touch. They have a build your own bowl option, but with no ingredients listed on the menu upfront to be able to customize your bowl. If there is a truly classy place to eat some casual Mediterranean food, this is the place! The Vessel Kitchen is a restaurant located not more than a minute from S.R. 224 in Park City. It offers a unique "cool" setting to eat salads, flatbreads, bowls, soups and tacos (but they're mediterrean tacos!). You can sit up high in a bigger group type setting on one of their large tables, or you can eat humbly in one of their 2/4 sized tables. I like the fact that they go out of their way to make everything healthy, including putting the effort into filtered tap water for you and me! They also make everything in their mostly environmentally friendly/reusable such as using ceramic plates, metal cups, and silverware. The hummus was not my favorite ever, but still good and I enjoyed the pita bread. We left very full. This location is a good attempt, but has quite a lot of problems with execution. I'm a regular/local, and the food is often not quite hot, the menu is poorly designed and there isn't one by the register, and the presentation of the food varies from visit to visit. Healthy choices and beautiful colors and flavors of food! A protein and the sides filled me up and Kombucha on draft! They serve you at your table. I got the braised beef w lentils and stir fry bok choy slightly char flavor as indicated on menu. It didn't look like a lot of food but it totally filled me up. Place was buzzing and biker friendly just lean it up against the outside wall-- no bike racks. Lots of smiles, lots of chatter the place was loud and full of laughter. Serves beers and wine! What a neat little spot. This was my first stop in Park City, and a great welcoming spot, I'd say! It's very open, airy, modern and friendly. I ordered the yellowfish tuna bowl with wild grains. It was delicious. I just wish it was a little more food. I'm allergic to almonds so I subbed the charred broccoli for brussel sprouts, which were delicious. I loved the tahini dressing over the bowl as well. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, it was tough to pick! Also, they have kombucha on draft! My east coast soul loved these options - I debated between the lemon blueberry ginger and strawberry rhubarb - both were delicious. Ultimately, I went with the strawberry rhubarb because rhubarb is more of a rarity! Delicious meal and great service. I used to eat here weekly, but since the new menu revamp I've found the food to be lacking. My usual is the lemon feta chicken salad, and the new version was just odd. It was topped with grilled chicken, which was hot so wilted the lettuce and made the whole salad taste like chicken and nothing else. Food is healthy and fresh and made in house (which is something I really respect in a restaurant) Staff is friendly, items and menu changes seasonally with what is available that time of year. The family meals are really stellar! One protein to feed four, 3 hearty sides with it (I wish it included a loaf of bicycle bread and that they would bring back the sliced brisket, though!) The bread would round out the Togo meal as a package, and for the prices (which are significantly higher than when you guys first opened, it would seem a little more worth while) I had an issue today- I paid for $130 worth of product 2 family meals, an extra protein, large family salad and two bicycle breads. They give me 4 small squares of butter (the portion of about PER slice of bread) and I bought two whole loaves and food to feed 7 people I asked if I could please get a little more butter and was told I needed to pay! .50 per 2 slabs of butter. I just really think when you're ordering a whole stick of bread and spending that kind of money, I am not trying to nickel and dime the establishment YOU (vessel Kitchen) are trying to nickel and dime the customer! Your chicken went from $30 to $40 in less than two years, your braised brisket is NOT the same portions as the sliced was and it is $49. I do know the cost goes up and to keep up with good quality product and staff, I get it (to an extent) but the portions and something like not being able when spending that kind of money to provide extra butter, is a little ridiculous. And as a "regular" who commutes from salt lake just for your food I do not want this to come off as a negative review! The food is outstanding NO doubt! And we will continue to come back- we have spend almost $300 in this week alone buying your meals because they are great! I just am coming from a constructive criticism point of view, because, after all, that's the point of a review, right? The summer sides are spot on! The Mac and cheese, green beans, corn medley, broccoli, Yukon potatoes- all are so tasty on the pallet! The food is made with love and you can tell. They locally source bread, and kombucha on tap, along with desserts from local bakeries and all of that I look for when dining. Park city NEEDED a place like this! But just because it is in a resort town, you need to remember there are locals from PC and the salt lake valley (not just tourists) that look for consistency and those little things like balance of portions and something so small like butter with bread and don't want to feel that I can "afford" to have to be rung up separately for another $2.50 in butter so that everyone dining with me that night gets a sliver. By the time we finished our order and paid we pulled in to Vessel. We figured we would have to wait 10 minutes or so bettor it would be ready, however as we walked in we saw they finished our order and had it waiting for us. This was very impressive considering we were walking in at their busiest hour. The food itself was fantastic as well. We ordered the avocado toast which was easily the best we've ever had. Really good food! Been wanting to try it for awhile since we go to PC Bagel 2 doors down frequently. Ordered rotisserie chicken with sweet potatoes and Mac and cheese. Everything had a good flavor but was only lukewarm. You also get large portions here! I like that they are local and it's a good location. It's not horribly priced for PC either at roughly $12/plate. Kinda weird that you have to bus everything yourself when there were about 6 employees just standing around. Came on a Monday night and it definitely was not crowded. No problem since Vessel Kitchen is right next to our hotel. The inside of VK looks just like the Graze restaurants in my home zip code except on wall was your basic Chipotle type food service with upscale foods. Think Whole Foods hot bar. I was handed my meal and it was already cold 1/3 of the way back to our hotel. The box was hotter than the food. Taste wise - it was nothing to write home about. The price was right. About $11.50 (including tip) for the 3 sides entre'. Next time I'll go back to our usual Park City Chinese restaurant. read more
