Just ate there. We had tried to eat at another local place but they never called us for our table so we saw Vico across the street and went to take a look. Chef Eric was standing out front speaking to some guests and immediately welcomed us to his restaurant. We recognized him from 317 Main, his restaurant next door and we were pleasantly surprised that this was his restaurant also. The staff heard about our plight at the original restaurant and did their best to make us feel welcome. We ordered drinks and had a sampling of some appetizers including the Impepata di Cozze, a muscles dish and the Tonno Crudo, a Tuna dish that is similar to a tartar but combined with baby fig making it delicate and sweet. Light, delicate and perfectly balanced, both dishes we're outstanding. Especially the Mussels in a white wine sauce with just a hint of red tomato and thinly sliced garlic. Cooked perfectly we finished the food as well as the bread that was served with it. We just kept dipping it in the sauce and enjoying every bite. For our main dish we split the Salsiccia pie. Placing the order we both were a bit apprehensive about what seemed to be a very complex dish. However, this may have been one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I kid you not, it was excellent. Perfect crust and a balance of spicy and sweet that makes you want to keep eating. The restaurant sticks to a very authentic northern Italian theme, even down to the beer and wine selection. I had the Nazionale, which is a white beer with a slight note of fruit. Very slight! Not to much but just enough to keep the beer enjoyable without being overpowering to the meal. We also had a glass of GLS Algianico A beautiful crisp red wine. We definitely want to go back and try some of their other dishes or maybe just get these again, they were that good. read more

Finally got to experience this wonderful restaurant. What an incredible experience. Amazing pizza and fresh pasta. Our server (Hislanie? I definitely messed up the spelling) was excellent. My mom and I wanted to order a bottle of wine and she answered our questions about which wines were on the drier side. She even gave us a taste of the wine we were thinking about getting. It was delicious and we ordered it! It was a sauvignon Blanc. We got there for our reservation at 630 and it wasn't too crowded, but within an hour the place was packed. Every dish that came out of the kitchen smelled incredible! We started off with the Prosciutto pizza. The dough reminded me of the pizza I had in Italy, perfect texture and the flavors were awesome. We each at a pasta dish and shared them. One was a pumpkin walnut ravioli and the other was pasta with chicken sausage. The flavors and ingredients were fresh and delicious. This restaurant is not your usual Italian restaurant with huge portions. The portion size is great and you leave feeling satisfied. I really have no clue how I haven't heard of this place before. It is INSANE how authentic and flavorful their food is. I went to Italy 3 years ago and it is the closest thing to actual Italian food I have seen in this country. We had a couple cocktails and a couple of appetizers. The potato croquettes were one of the best appetizers I have ever had in my life. We also had the mortadella pizza and that was unreal how good it was. I was a little skeptical about it going in because it had pistachio but it was perfectly executed. For dinner we had a couple of different pastas. You can tell they make their own pasta just by the taste. There is so much detail in everything this place does and the inside is beautiful. I'm looking forward to coming back really soon. My fiancé and I came here during Music on Main on their grand opening weekend. We are both fans of 317 Main Street so we were very excited to hear that chef Eric was opening another restaurant. We got the zucchini flower special and the mushroom pizza as appetizers, then the tortellini and the pasta with muscles. As someone who has been to Italy a few times, including the amalfi coast, I was very impressed with the freshness of everything. The portion sizes were absolutely perfect and reminded me of the portions you get in Italy. It felt like I was back in Italy from the decor to the food. We even got a $10 gift card for our next visit by just showing an Instagram post. would highly recommend trying this place out! read more

I got Vico's delivered the other night and tried the fig pizza and ricotta appetizer. The ricotta portion itself was big and delicious, however, they only sent us 2 pieces of bread to have with it and it was not as good without it so I have so much of it left over. The fig pizza was okay but would probably not order it again. Had two wonderful dinners in one week at Vico. Both meals were served by Julio outside in Vico's lovely patio/garden, which has been beautifully transformed from a concrete parking area into a green garden oasis complete with a pretty fountain. Julio is a fantastic member of Vico's wait staff that goes out of his way to welcome clients and make your Vico experience memorable. read more

Last night we decided to have dinner at Vico on Main St. in Farmingdale Village . This restaurant was amazing! We ordered pizza that was absolutely delicious and this is a compliment coming from 2 old fashion Italians . We thought we were back in Italy ! The menu has so many fantastic and creative dishes , We wanted to order everything . The waiters were polite and very professional . The executive chef went to each table and introduced himself and had light friendly conversation , The prices were very reasonable too. The service was excellent . We will definitely be back . Called them today to order some pies. It's 12.33 on a Thursday and tried them 10 times. It goes to voicemail and says 'you've reached us at a time outside our normal business hours , email us for information'. Great way for a NEW restaurant to turn away business! We went to vico on a saturday ...evening . Noticing the inside of the restaurant it felt like you were in italy ...It was a simple interior with fresh flowers which looked nice .The Hostess and the waitress were pleasant ....I had an appetizer of potato croquettes which were only 2 pieces although they were very nice ...For the entre i had the zuccinni pasta and my lady had rigatoni with fresh vegtables and pieces of brazino ...I have to say the food was very fresh but she thought the rigatoni was to firm/al-dente...The zucinni pasta was al dente as well..I had asked for bread and they brought out crusts like from a pizza with some olive -oil ..The main thing i noticed is that the portions were so small about 1/4 of what i would get at most italian restaurants .I was still hungry after the appetizer and zucinni pasta and some rigatoni with vegtables that i ordered a margarita pizza to go...I think there should have been bigger portions ... read more

Was super excited for this place to open! Love the vibe! If you can't get to the Amalfi Coast, get to Vico, presto!! If you're looking for Chicken Parm this definitely isn't the place, thank goodness! We have enough of those. If you're looking for fresh, quality ingredients whipped into creative dishes, then go, right now! We started with the meatballs, which were delicious, not bready or dry like in a lot of other places. The sauce was fresh and bright and perfect for sopping up with the homemade bread they give you. The tuna crudo was amazing! Also super fresh with a nice kick of red pepper and tang of caper berries. The unsuspecting star of appetizers was the roasted sunchoke, which is like an artichoke and a potato had a baby. Not knowing what to expect, we were blown away by how good it was. Served over sunchoke puree with pickled onions and roasted garlic, amazing! (pro tip - spread some of that roasted garlic on the yummy bread they give you!). We tried two pies...the margherita and the fig, both really good. Only comment I'll make is that the fig pie could use a contrast...like prosciutto or maybe gorganzola...to cut the sweetness. For my main I had the roasted sea bass. For me the star of the show! Fresh doesn't even describe it. Possibly the best piece of fish I have had in a long time. Served with escarole, potatoes, garlic, leeks...all that was missing was a table overlooking the Gulf of Naples. Oh! And Nick, our server. He was awesome, super nice, accomodating and helpful. Decided to try the new place in Farmingdale opened by Chef Eric LeVine of 317 Main and we were not disappointed!! The menu had a great selection of pastas, pizzas and salads, plus main courses. My husband and I shared the arugula salad and meatball appetizer and a small margarita pizza. Everything was delicious and tasted authentic and homemade! We can't wait to go back to get the "Metro" Pizza-a rectangular thin crust pizza. The couple next to us ordered it and it looked amazing! The service was excellent. my family and I ate at Vico last week. very impressed with menu and quality of food. wonderful meal. we all enjoyed every bit. the mussels and burrata delish and very reasonably priced. the eggplant pizza was was our favorite. I had the branzino a particular favorite cooked perfectly served over delicious unique salad. my daughter had the octopus which was also cooked perfectly. another highlight was the roasted chicken over these amazing creamy potatoes. will definitely be back. loved the intimate setting and waitstaff were very well trained and personable. read more

Second visit to Vico last night. Had a great meal. Enjoyed the whipped ricotta and meatball appetizers, both served with tasty rustic bread. Meatballs and sauce had great flavor. So many places serve rubbery meatballs with too much filler. These were perfect in taste and texture! For entrees we had the chicken dish and the special with homemade pasta stuffed with crab and shrimp, topped with squid ink. Delicious and fairly priced. We shared "Italian flan", called budino, for dessert. My wife described it as more "delicate" than the many flans we have eaten. Would definitely order it again. Everything is fresh and made daily. I tried two new beers -- Torrente from Italy and Al Dente, an Italian style pilsner, which we learned from our daughter comes from a brewery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn owned by two female alumni of NYU Stern! On our way to the car, we noticed many people dining outside in the garden behind the restaurant. Will try that when it's not too hot out. Also nice to see familiar faces from 317 Main! read more

Great addition to Main Street. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. We started with the sunchoke appetizer. So different and delicious. They were like a sweet potato and artichoke heart. The seasoning including the garlic purée and pickled onions all worked so well together. Their bread was delicious dipped in the purée. I had the ricotta gnocchi. It looked small when it first came out but was packed with flavor and so filling I took half of it home. My father had the spaghetti, which had lemon, Parmesan and pine nuts. I tried a little and it was so good. He finished the entire thing and used the bread to make sure he got every last bit out of the bowl. My mother had the eggplant pizza. The personal size was very generous and the flavors all worked so well together. She took half of it home. For dessert we had the tiramisu, lemon and caramel desserts. Perfectly sized to not feel overly full and so tasty. The tiramisu was very creamy, the caramel perfectly sweet and the lemon so refreshing. Service was great too. read more

New dining establishment in Farmingdale led by the Nutty and 317 crew. My wife and I checked it out and were pleased. A not so overwhelming menu with well prepared food. We started with excellent croquets, a mini pizza and main course of octopus. All prepared well by chef Eric LeVine. The Amalfi theme with one of the partners family originating from that area of Italy. The theme holds well with the kitchen staff. Unusual cocktails need ice especially for summer drinks but we're good make sure u ask. Air conditioning could have a couple of degrees cooler. A smaller place will need reservations, service needs to up its game they either overindulge us or forget about us. These are normal growing pains that I'm sure chef Eric will deal well with. In no way is this a negative review, food is the deal and as long as that stays on point the rest will be taken care of. Good luck to this establishment I'll be back. read more
