Matcha-wise, they have a note saying they use oat milk for their matcha drinks, but the oat milk kind of overpowers the actual matcha flavor. ** My favorite is the Uji Matcha Tofu. Loved the modern interior and aesthetic. I ordered their Vietnamese Coffee because I was extremely sluggish one day. Was very rich in flavor, and has the typical boldness I absolutely love in a Vietnamese coffee. The one critique I have about their serving size is that my drink had way too much ice in it. It felt like my drink was 70% ice and 30% drink, which didn't allow me to enjoy my coffee fully since I finished it so quickly. It doesn't make or break my decision about coming back to the coffee shop though. They do have other pastries and drinks I would love to try. Cute coffee spot in Westminster! It definitely gets pretty crowded here on weekends. The first thing that caught my eye about this spot is that they serve beignets! And they're actually good! They're freshly made in house and dusted with powdered sugar. You can also add on cream to dip them in, which I definitely recommend doing! The other thing that caught my eye is their Uji Matcha Tofu drink! They put soft silky tofu in the matcha drink, and it works well together! I was a little hesitant at first since I don't really like toppings that interrupt the drink, but you can suck the tofu through the straw easily. The Matcha tofu pudding was nice as well--it did taste mostly of tofu but we enjoyed it still. I noticed there was one self-service kiosk available, but I chose to order directly through the cashier. After placing my order, I waited for my drink. During that time, I saw several customers who ordered through the self-service kiosk receive their drinks before me, even though I had arrived earlier. Concerned that my order might have been missed, I asked the cashier guy who took my order if he could check its status. He brietly glanced at my number, quickly told me my drink was not ready, and dismissed my concern without verifying anything in the system. His response felt rushed and unhelpful. Unsatisfied, I asked another employee for assistance. This time, a young woman greeted me with a smile and was genuinely willing to help. She listened carefully and checked the system to confirm whether my order existed. It appeared that my order was either not entered correctly or had been overlooked. She immediately prepared my drink on the spot and even asked about my preferred milk and sugar levels. Her professionalism, accountability, and sense of urgency were greatly appreciated. Untortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. As customers, we are not just order numbers--we choose to visit your establishment and pay for your products and service. Okay, I have to increase my rating to 5 stars because I am addicted to their matcha tofu- 50% sweet is perfect! Apparently they have a sweetened oat milk & an unsweetened oat milk, so they just vary the ratio if you ask for less sweet. 50% doesn't taste too sweet but has a deeper richer flavor than 0% sweet. Last year, I tried placing a phone order and they refuse to take my order and said I had to go in-person. I went in-person and it took them so long to make my drinks despite how many workers were there. I recently been back a few times and I feel like they are slowly trying to improve their efficiency, but they aren't that efficient yet.
