Great casual bar scene. Desert selection of beers, drinks and food. Servers are very friendly and accommodating.

Shaded patio seating, quick service, and the sweet tea isn't overwhelmingly sweet. This was the right choice for us today, just before everything got a little crowded from lunch rush. Hot honey chicken sandwich is a generous portion but boy is it a sticky-delicious mess! Cucumber/tomato/feta side was refreshing, too. Grilled chicken bacon ranch with okra to my left received a tasty report, thought it actually looked a bit messier due to all the ranch! We enjoyed ourselves for sure! Minus one star for the annoying flies and little bugs that bite! To eat outside or not to eat outside - that is the question!

My daughter chose where we would have dinner on a beautiful Friday evening while we had our favorite toddler in tow. We have been before, but it was the first time with a little one. It was still early in the evening, so we were able to be seated right away. We were seated at a booth in the back. There were high chairs, but we didn't need one. They also have a kids menu that comes with crayons and activities on the menu, like tic tac toe and coloring. Savannah was our server and she was great. Very friendly, very knowledgeable and helpful. It was so hard to choose because we were both starving. We ordered the chicken bites as an appetizer. They were really good. My daughter decided to mix one of the sauces, the draft house sauce and the garlic, soooo good! They make their ranch in house, which was a bonus. We ordered the half pound size with 2 flavor options. We also had the mild. For our meals, I ordered the Smoke Stack Burger because I now have a small obsession for burgers with bbq sauce and bacon. The burger was prepared exactly how I ordered it and so delicious and fresh. It was absolutely perfect. I had tater tot's on the side. They were good, just tater tots, nothing special about them. My daughter ordered the Gouda Steak sandwich, which sounds amazing on the menu, but was just ok. They forgot to put half of the ingredients on the sandwich and it's served on what seems like just toasted white bread, and not grilled sourdough. My daughter had to add salt and pepper. Her side was onion rings, and might I say they were the best onion rings I've had in a long time. For the little one, we ordered the chicken bites with tater tots. The service was great, especially since it hadn't gotten crowded yet. The food was really good and came out pretty fast, but not too fast like it was reheated.

Always a good choice if you want an extensive menu and decent beer offerings. We usually meet here on Sundays for late lunch or Wednesday evenings. Tried a new salad today: the hot honey chicken, which was delicious. Bartender kept the drinks flowing. It is a little loud inside, which is why we typically eat outside if it's warm.

The Village Draft House in Raleigh NC is doing a lot of things right. I will start with the obvious, the bar... they have 100 taps! I didn't count them, but I take their word for it. The taps go down the very long bar. I was in love. Besides the beer, they have a full bar, wine and bottled beer. If you are a craft beer lover you will definitely not be out of options here. The inside is large, a long bar and plenty of both seating as well as a food size outside patio area. There are high ceilings and they play the music up so keep that in mind if you plan to dine inside. This would be a great shot for happy hour. They are electronic friendly which is a huge plus. Two things they do well on this front is: 1) they have USB ports directly under the bar to charge hour electric device 2) their wifi is hassle free no passwords or any elaborate information, you just click on it in your browser and you are in. Onto the service which was great. I got there when they opened on Sunday at 11. By noon the patio was packed and the inside was half full. My server was Amanda and she was great. And what a beautiful smile. She seemed to really like her job and she was great with the other patron. As far as food, I only had the Gochujang Cauliflower which is a batter cauliflower deep fried in a sweet and spicy sauce. It came with ranch dressing for dipping. The sauce was a little too sweet for me so I asked for buffalo sauce which made them taste wonderful. Next time I come I will ask for them naked with buffalo sauce and blue cheese on the side. They have an extensive menu which brings me to believe that can't be making everything fresh everyday. I could be wrong, but they have burgers, sandwiches, entrees and even a kids menu. And the food menu seems to be as extensive as the draft menu. There are literally lots of pub food options. The venue is not 5 stars, but the service, beer options and electronics friendly environment definitely are. I will be returning next time I am in Raleigh, even if it is just for a beer or two. The Village Draft House has whatever IT is that makes a place special.

Hmm will say wait time wasn't too bad but overall nice lil hang out spot. But getting our food to order took a lil long but the beer was alright and food a good solid 7/10

I suggested Village Draft House when a friend and I met for lunch after a coworker said they had good beer selection and food. Well, I was a bit underwhelmed. My chicken stack wasn't really "stacked" with flavor... It really needed more zing and spice. Average. My friend got the chicken bacon ranch sandwich and said it would've been better with all its toppings on a burger rather than a sandwich. The waiter was nice, but not super attentive or fast. This place would probably be fine if you're just doing beer and apps.

Tried Village Draft House for the first time this afternoon, it was great! We had slower table service but it was busy so we understood. The waitress was great and our meals were perfect. I got the breakfast burger and it was delicious! Will definitely come back soon.

This is what you'd expect it to be- a great sports bar. Reasonably priced, good selection on their menu & taps. The perfect spot to watch a game or spend your evening! Go to order: blue moon & Buffalo chicken dip or chicken nachos- never fails me!

    Ahi Bowl
    Michael B.

I've been here a couple of times. Decided to get the Ahi Bowl tonight -- and it was great! I ordered it rare, and they delivered. The dressing was really great. My wife doesn't like fish, but she tried some of the couscous with the dressing and agreed it worked well together. My wife just came the night previous and ordered the same thing as tonight (steak tacos with mashed potatoes). I am rating four stars because my wife said she got less steak this time, and the potatoes needed salt when they did not before. Overall a great place.

For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

We started with the pull apart bread which was reminiscent of the old school cafeteria rolls I had in elementary school (a great comparison) and were delicious - wonderful crunch on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. It came with chive butter, then the host gave us the honey butter. Both were good, I just preferred the chive. I had the roasted turkey French dip which was good, just not memorable. My husband liked his shrimp and grits, said it was rich, but tasty. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of this place, I would go back for the vibes alone! The staff was really nice too. We showed up early with our 1.5 year old daughter and they were able to seat us immediately. The area felt spacious, although that could be due to the fact that it wasn't super packed inside. I ordered the short rib benedict, my husband got the chicken & waffle sandwich, and we ordered my daughter a side of the mac & cheese. What a delicious meal! The short rib was tender and flavorful, and sat on top of a biscuit (what's not to love here?!) - horseradish hollandaise was the perfect touch as the horseradish pairs nicely with the beef. The chicken & waffle sandwich was the best guilty pleasure! Waffle crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, chicken breaded and fried with a nice crunch, and a nice hot honey syrup to go alongside -- wish this had a little more heat. To our surprise, the mac & cheese side was a highlight too! It's hard to get a good mac n cheese, but this had such a rich, white cheese, slight funk flavor - delicious. We came in today with reasonable expectations after finding the restaurant online and seeing mostly positive reviews. We ordered several items to share as a family: broccoli cheddar soup, a French dip sandwich with green beans, and poutine fries. Unfortunately, the broccoli cheddar soup was very bland and lacked seasoning. We had a few bites and ended up leaving the rest. The French dip was the standout of the meal. While the meat itself was a bit dry, dipping it in the au jus made it the most enjoyable and edible item we ordered. The poutine fries were disappointing. They were very basic and didn't resemble what I would expect from poutine--more like prepackaged frozen fries that had been deep-fried. We didn't finish them and left most behind, though we still paid for them. Our child wouldn't eat any of the food, so we ordered the fried ravioli appetizer, hoping it would be similar to versions we've had elsewhere. Sadly, that was another letdown. Although we were told there was no breading, the texture suggested otherwise. This was the one item we did send back. I wouldn't recommend this location for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities, as much of the food appears to be made from frozen or prepackaged items. That said, our server was absolutely wonderful--the highlight of the visit. She was kind, attentive, kept our drinks refilled, and genuinely made us feel welcome. Her sweet demeanor and constant smile were honestly the reason we didn't complain more at the time. While I wouldn't return for the food, I might consider stopping by again strictly for drinks during a sporting event. Otherwise, this just wasn't the dining experience we were hoping for.

I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. When the NY Strip came back out, my husband cut into it and it was shiny and purple inside, from top to bottom...absolutely rare. The waitress agreed it was rare and took it back to the kitchen again. When it came out for the third time, it was perfect (third time's a charm, I guess?). The only saving grace was the kind waitress who felt awful about the sub par food. The kitchen put her in an uncomfortable position, but she handled it with grace.
