Overall: nice upscale restaurant with decent food Food: 4/5 The scallop and risotto with mint puree was a delight. Creamy, al dente pasta and nicely seared scallops wrapped in a bold cheesy sauce. The ahi tuna tartare was so so. The fish wasn't a vibrant color and the flavor, which fresh, was bland and underwhelming. Service: 5/5 We came in at 3pm and there was only a few guests and the server was very attentive to us and cleaned our plates almost as soon as we finished. Ambiance: 5/5 Upscale and clean interior. If you were hoping for a beach or coastal view being this close to the water (on the map), you'll be disappointed!

First time visiting this restaurant. The service was awesome right from the moment I was greeted at the door. The food and cocktails were spot on. One of the best Old Fashions I've ever had. The restaurant is small and has a pleasant and comfortable feel to it. I noticed how several folks that arrived knew the servers by name which was really nice to see. Definitely recommend V's if you're ever in Malibu.

V's is so good. Went there last night again. The service is great and the food is even better. Its not on the ocean side of pch but it still has a great view. I love the pizza.

Absolutely the best pizza you will ever eat! We get three pizzas every Saturday night now as a family tradition and they never fail to serve us soft dough topped with amazing Ingredients! I love the Margheritta pizza, my husband gets the pepperoni pizza and our son gets a cheese pizza! Truly amazing food!!!!! They make our families move nights so much more special!

My boyfriend and I came into V's on a whim and it was the best decision! Really appreciate that V's stays open until 9:30pm, unlike most Malibu restaurants that seem to close around 5pm. When we came inside, we immediately loved the cozy, dimly lit vibe - perfect for an intimate date night. I ordered the Mushroom and Truffle Tagliatelle and WOW it was delicious! The servers were super attentive and kind as well. So happy to have finally found a great gem in Malibu!

Ate here while staying at a near by hotel. My husband and I were able to be quickly seated without a reservation on a Friday evening. We shared the crab cake which was delicious with lots of crab meat. I had the seafood linguine with gluten free pasta. I enjoyed the variety of seafood in the pasta which included scallops, mussels, shrimp, etc. For dessert we had the berry crumble with berry sorbet. Would highly recommend all these items.

    The salmon is too greasy
    Nora M.

The lights were very nice. The food was horrible. The salmon was very greasy, the eggs smelled bad, the salad had small rotten pieces. The only thing that was good was the chicken parm. The waiter was very kind.

    My wonderful family.

Celebrated our Christmas dinner with family: my dearest husband, my sister and her husband, their son (my nephew), my brother and his wife, and our wonderful, dearest mom. What a memory to remember pinned in my . Food is amazing, service is awesome.

Ice water: go inside and help yourself. Mandatory pre-selected tip: 25%. Service attitude: meh. Then, as you opted for the convenient method above, they charge you 99 cent extra. For every order. OK, if you care to hear more: I was born and raised in Germany. In Germany, staff gets paid by the hour, so it's typical to "round up": on a €44 check you would possibly give €47-48, €50 would be considered generous. STILL, when I get asked what would be the first you would import from the US, I suggested "the way you tip service". For decades, 15-18, max 20% was the rule, and you got excellent service for this. I preferred excellent service over saving money in a restaurant. Now, they led us to believe that service does not get paid and their tip is what they take home. Also, they want is to believe that 15% tip is almost an offense as everything got more expensive. A server at Zinqué Malibu earns a legally mandated minimum of $17.91 per hour before tips. Zinqué does not publicly disclose its exact hourly rate; its job postings describe compensation as "hourly + tips," based on experience. True: everything gets more expensive. Every year. So if prices adjust for a sandwich, so does the tip, it's whatever percent on top. So "everything is more expensive" is covered by the higher tip. Zinque offers substandard service, suggests an extra 25% as default for it, and then makes me pay extra for them reducing the service. I still believe that great service deserves recognition. Sadly, I also believe that whoever is behind this, has lost his mind. As much as I love the ambiance of this place, I will not go again. Possibly they would not even want me to come again. Fair enough. During my visit, max 20% of the tables were taken, rather less. Maybe there are more people like me. Again, to make sure we do not misunderstand each other: I have no objections to have an online menu. I prefer a "real" one, but then, digitalization will take over. Fine. I dot not support that I have to tip before I have even seen service, though. Tip must be earned. By service. The more you love the service, the more you should tip.

It's almost like a farm setting and sorta lit up like Christmas it's very beautiful with all the lights. We stopped to grab a coffee at the coffee shop there and it was honestly not that great, they were very sweet the girl working there I do remember that. But their coffee was not that great. The dinner we had was nice but it was outside and it was freezing. So we were all shivering and by the time our food came out everything was pretty cold. The entire hotel was not busy there wasn't that many people there. Kind of a shame since you think it would be since it is beautiful there. The rooms were interesting and across from each other, however I loved the little fire pit they had in the middle of the outside area going back and forth to the rooms. The kids had a blast though they had fun running back and forth and they do leave a lot of yummy snacks around which was really nice. The customer service was not bad not the best but not bad! Everyone was nice but things took extra long when it shouldn't when no one was really there. I hope next time we visit this hotel it will be busier. But it's a very unique kind of a hotel and very gorgeous. At least check it out once. Have a really beautiful day :) Be kind to everyone - Aloha

The short answer is that Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is a minor tourist trap that is only really…read moresomewhat redeemable if you are going to the beach and/or making a day of it and need somewhere to both eat and park. First off, the negative: the parking is absolutely insane and always raising throughout the years, so if you're coming here for the beach and just the beach (no food/ drinks), then this is absolutely not worth it. If you don't mind paying an arm and a leg for good food and not the greatest service, then they can validate your parking for you, making it a better deal; not free, but lower than before. Their menu is kind of confusing because one side is dedicated to family sized meals, but the other size doesn't have everything on the menu that they truly serve. When I came here last weekend with my family, the blonde waitress that was taking care of us didn't give us a kids menu for my sister when seating us. When she came by again after we got seated, I asked her for one and motioned towards my sister. She asked, "Who at the table here is a kid?" in a serious tone and had a slight attitude. I just calmly said, "My sister," and motioned again, like before, towards her. She asked, "Well how old is she?" "11.....," I said. And she rolled her eyes and walked away. After five minutes, she came back with a kid's menu, although I never really knew what the full issue was. I understand that they don't want adults ordering off of the kid's menu in order to make more money on the adult meals, even though they can be too big for some people depending on what you get. However, a kid that maybe looks a couple years older wasn't as big of a deal as she made it out to be, rolling her eyes to a whole family. When we got our food, which was around 25 minutes after we ordered, a lot of the dishes my family and I ordered came in big portions and could be saved for dinner or another meal. I had also ordered a frozen margarita prior, but was disappointed when I got it and it wasn't frozen, but a very, very melted down version. It tasted good and wasn't too strong, though. All in all, I'd maybe recommend if you've never been before just to go once to check out the space, food, ambiance, and views that they're really known for. It's truly gorgeous since they're located right on the beach, and it's an amazing location. However, the customer service and prices make this restaurant not an occurring place that we go to.

I was instantly so glad we chose this spot to celebrate our anniversary because it was the perfect setting for a romantic date night. Now, let's talk about the food! Everything we ordered was delicious, with the exception of the Korean aguachiles, which we probably could've skipped. We also tried the bluefin bibimbap, oysters, and the oh-so-tender short rib that practically melted in our mouths. But the most unforgettable dish was also the simplest: the Korean fried chicken. It wasn't necessarily something out of the ordinary, but it sure tasted like it. The perfect crisp, flavor, and seasoning had us eating every last piece right down to the bone. The menu is kind of "greatest Korean hits", including a few charcoal grilled items. The drink menu is pretty extensive. It's a smallish space with both indoor and outdoor seating and a darkish, festive atmosphere. Here's what we ordered: 1) Korean aguachile--flounder in a cold kimchi broth that was partially granita-like. Refreshing. 2) Fried chicken wings. Pretty classic. Supposedly half plain and half soy-garlic, but they were pretty similar. A nice sweet chili sauce on the side, along with some pickled daikon and other veggies. I like a sweet glaze directly on my wings, but these had a good crunch. 3) Chilled acorn noodle. With greens, toasted nori and a jammy egg. Cooling, but the greens were a bit harsh for me. 4) Savory egg souffle. Nice but nothing out of the ordinary. 5) Spicy braised black cod. I was worried it would be too spicy but actually was very mild, possibly tomato-based sauce with nicely braised daikon and a side of slightly pickled napa cabbage. 6) Grilled beef short rib. Delish! More like a hangar steak than short rib. Came with a dipping sauce, coarse salt, lemon and a little salad with a pungent dressing. 7) Hotteok a la mode. A caramelized cinnamon "crepe" with toasted seeds and vanilla ice cream. Delish. They also had a strawberry bingsu (Korean dairy-based shaved ice) that sounded good, a collaboration with Korean Ice Co. down the street. Note Mulberry claims it's a no tipping establishment, but adds a 20% "fee" to your bill. Overall a nice meal, on the pricey side. I do think I prefer Japanese food more, but Mulberry is a good introduction to Korean.
