I am a "local" and was super excited to have V's finally open! We came in during the restaurants first week, which is always questionable because the kinks are getting worked out. I have to say, we were overwhelmed with the attentive service, the great selections on the wine list (and some very reasonably priced bottles as well!), and the yummy food. The decor is clean/modern/beige- upscale beachy but not pretentious. We started with the brussel sprout flatbread, which was INSANE! It had some kind of delish walnut spread with a thin perfectly baked crust- I eat out all the time, and I've never seen it on another menu. The rest of our food was just as good- we had salads (the one with blue cheese), the scallop appetizer, and risotto of the night (wild mushroom). We loved everything. The menu has something for everyone- meat eater to vegetarian. (The bar looks like it would be great to meet up with a friend for an after work cocktail too) So happy we have a fav new spot in Malibu! We are going again tonight! read more

The service was a little slow, but that could have been because it was a busy Saturday night. Enjoyed my lunch at V's very much. The restaurant is so tastefully decorated - very serene. They were pleased to accomodate my request for a chopped salad without salami and added salmon to it. It was a large, so tastefully prepared salad with such variety and scrumptuous! (delicious) Wait staff very pleasant and attentive. Plus -- FREE PARKING! All in all a delightful experience. We got to know this place during our recent Woolsey fire evacution. We went there quite a few times over a four month period staying nearby, eating at the bar each time. The food was excellent every time. The owner, engaging with their clientelle, and welcoming. I would especially like to give a shout out to the bartender Brent who went above and beyond each time for locals at the bar. It was very much a local place at the bar with repeat Bu clients we saw each time. Nothing was too much trouble for Brent. The food is definitely not Taco Bell prices but I have to say worth it. read more

This is my third time going to V's and I will keep going back. My husband and I just celebrated our first anniversary and the staff went above and beyond for us. They all congratulated us and treated us like royalty. We ordered the wild mushroom flatbread to start and it was so delicious. He got the filet mignon and I got the salmon. Both excellent. I've had their homemade tagliatelle before and it's top notch. They surprised us with creme brûlée and a couple small pastries for our celebration. The staff was friendly. The service was efficient. I will keep coming back here and highly recommend V's. read more

Beautiful place and nice environment, easy to park, servers were all great, food delicious and a fair price, possibly great for Malibu. The food was good but the air conditioning was not strong enough, they were very polite and apologetic about it but it made it difficult to enjoy the meal when I was uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. I'm a tough reviewer. I have eaten here a couple of times for lunch. You'll spend about $15-$20 a person. Nice at lunch because not many people go there. The food is not bad and is a little creative. Worth checking out for lunch. I can't say much dinner, never ate dinner there. As a ex Carbon Beach local, the Parking Valet is bull.. I think it might even be fake and that you can indeed park in front, even if you are not eating there. Also I've had to tell the Valet to get out of the way on the sidewalk. Don't expect the lunch menu to have lots of choices. Nice waiters every time I went in there. read more

This is a hidden gem in Malibu. The staff are all terrific, as are the owners. Small bar with TV, you can watch a game before you are seated. Love this spot. Very enjoyable and high quality Italian food right on PCH in Malibu. Not touristy at all, which is perhaps my favorite thing about V's other then the food. One of only a handful of restaurants in Malibu where you can get high quality, super tasty food that is close to everyday prices (for Malibu). I had the ribs this time, which fell off the bone and had a wonderful bbq sauce, I know not very Italian but I was in the mood. The Wild Mushroom Truffle Tagliatelle is a can't miss as is the seafood linguine. Nice appetizers, always a few good specials, and of course desert. All I can say is wow! I was very impressed with the food here and I am very particular when it comes to food. Everything was phenomenal. It's obvious that the chef pays attention to detail which is very important. I can honestly say I had one of the best pizzas here in all of LA/west side! Thin, crispy, fresh, perfect! I highly recommend the prosciutto pizza. The meatballs were also excellent and one of my favorite appetizers. Calamari was also made to perfection -batter was just right -thin, nice flavor, non-greasy. Chopped salad was great. The wife and I went to V's a few days ago and we live in Malibu and I got nothing but good things to say about it! The service was excellent the wine and beer selection was too! The food was delicioso! My wife ordered the jadori chicken and she loved it! Very tasty cooked to perfection Happy Foodie! I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was very good one of the best I've ever had! The marinara sauce was so damn good! Also, I almost forgot we ordered the shisito pepeers for an appetizer and they were really good! Only complaint is wish they were spicier but thats how it goes with shisitos, it came with a spicy aoili that was the bomb so F'n good! Anyway I wish we would of came in sooner like the day it opened. All in all we were very happy with the quality and service of V's and will definitely be back ASAP. Highly recommend V's read more

When in MALIBU... Go to V's Very nice ambiance and service was right on point. The kids loved their pasta and I enjoyed my salad and Mac n cheese. I think I want to try the dinner menu next time and experience dinner. Seems to be more fitting for an evening dinner than lunch, which we had. Sort of fancy but not pricy or stuffy. Desserts are amazing. Try the peanut butter chocolate cake or the apple tart. Both 5star. read more

It was very busy but they kindly and quickly seated us at a table near the bar. We had the mussels and they were really tasty, a little spicy. My husband enjoyed a few glasses of their Reisling. I had the Spaghetti Bolongese and almost ate the whole thing. My husband's scallops were cooked perfectly and the corn/potato side was also delicious with a hymm char flavor. Terrible food, terrible service. I ordered a vegetarian omelate that comes with breakfast potatoes and toast. It arrived on the table luke warm. The toast were cold and the potatoes tasted like they had been sitting since the morning. I told them my food was cold, and instead of making me a fresh new omelate, they simply put everything in the microwave, my food returned warmer but still not hot enough for fresh restaurant quality food. We had to wait at least 10-12 minutes to get our check. Definitely not worth the 4.5 stars. read more
