They were a vendor at a a festival I'm at. lightning in a bottle, and the guy took my card payment and added the tip himself. A 25% tip, without me knowing. Ordered 1 santa fe vurger combo & 1 classic combo but they gave us 2 santa fe's instead, took a few bites to realize :( I loved the taste of the buns, fried onions & jalapeños and thousand island inside, delicious. The fries were a bit too salty for me though, almost perfect. We had the Santa Fe, Sunrise, tots, sweet potato fries, and both types of street tacos. The burgers themselves tasted and felt like carl's jr. beyond burgers, and the sweet potatoes were very soggy (even though we ate shorty after receiving the food). The tots, though, were tasty and crispy, and the street tacos were also really good! We really wanted to love this place, since it's so close to home, and wished it was our regular burger spot, but the taste and quality did not stand out at all. Thank you for feeding us!! Where do I begin? I arrived at the truck just shy of 1:31PM from LONG BEACH, when my order was placed & had to move my car from being harassed by parking enforcement. I move my car, come back and place my order @1:31PM. At 1:51, they call for someone else's order & I ask about mine? My order was never called out, I sat here & waited for 30 minutes for a completely cold order that has sat stapled in the bag for lord knows how long with SAUGY FRIES and a cold burger. When I told the staff, both cooks, looked startled, didn't offer to fix it, the heavy set Hispanic, chose to argue with me stating I had only been there 10 minutes from (1:31PM-1:51PM), pure utter nasty customer service. When I watched him leave the truck, go into whole food, had sat there the entire time. For someone whose apart of your loyalty program & actually rants about you'll. Keep in mind; the last time I was here, I asked for NO PICKLES and they were put on my burger anyway. I try to support black owned businesses & this is the slap in the face you get. The cooks weren't problem solvers & before offering to recook or fix my order, they just agreed to refund me as asked. Vurger guys is not what it use to be. When me an my family first tried this place we loved it. Well today we drove from Long Beach to L.A in the rain only to fine out they moved their location to a very busy spot downtown L.A. We ordered three sunrise vurgers and the sunburn vurger all with fries and two sodas. The total was $78. It wasn't that it was expensive but when we got our food the sunburn vurger was the same as the sunrise. The fries were as if we had got day old fries. They were cold and just scraps. So sad something that started out so good end up not worth it at all. I read in another comment that ownership has changed and maybe that's the problem. I happened upon these awesome guys in this awesome food truck yesterday downtown LA. Of course noticing the "V", I naturally assumed vegetarian or vegan and walked right on over passing all the others. This truck sells few styles of vegan burgers using the Beyond Meat (instead of that other not so vegan Impossible Burger.... sweet!) it's like Lyft vs Uber... go Lyft every time. They also have burritos and tacos and sides, and also make "meat" using jackfruit and I believe some another vegetable. I tried the Taco Trio and went for a walk around downtown. Everything was so good I honestly had to come back and let them know how good they were. For the three tacos served up and with tip, I believe it was under $10. Super happy about that! Starting to get a little tired of breaking the bank over food (like this) that should not be that expensive... ever. Well maybe not until the year 2050. F the $19 Impossible burger. There was an event at my place of work today in Palm Desert. I usually avoid these events that offer food, they never have food that I will eat, myself and my partner have been Vegans for years now. Today to my surprise was a Vegan burger truck. The young man working inside the truck told me it would be the best vegan burger I will ever have...I've heard that before....He was right!! I don't even know where to start. This is easily the most enjoyable , classic style burger -vegan or not. It just has a special vibe to it. Something vegan burgers rarely, if ever , have. Other good vegan burgers usually aren't reminiscent of that old home style flat top grilled burger - they have "their own " flavor or some random do-up silliness that comes across as pretentious. This shit is just classically bomb as hell. Like how in n out is. How shake shack is. Like how Marty's , on Pico is. It tastes like the grill master has been cooking vegan burgers for 44 years on the same grill. It has that non pretentious , just absolutely let's the food speak for itself - proof is in the pudding kind of greatness. It's How when you used to eat burgers at that local spot, that's because of the way things work, got turned Into a Trader Joe's parking lot. This is that vibe. Like checkerboard paper, perfectly melted cheese hanging out one or two corners , perfect ratios of sauce and toppings. This is one of those things that is just undeniably good. Period. I was recommended by a friend to try this spot out, and I'm so happy that I did! Personally, I liked the vurger here better than spots like Monty's. Not that Monty's isn't great, but the bread used for Monty's just doesn't do it for me. Vurger Guyz hit all the right notes. The toasted bun they used is nice, soft, and airy. Side note: I'm not a vegan, but I'm always venturing to try new vegan foods and eat less meat and animal products as much as possible. Thus, I ordered their sunrise vurger which included all the regular fixings like lettuce and tomato - but with fried jalapeños and golden brown fried onions. This order was amazing! Every bite was super delicious, and very filling. I couldn't even finish my vurger since I was going back to back with their fries too. I saved half to give to my boyfriend later on, and it was still delicious to him up until then. Cool thing is too, if you check in on Yelp, you can get a free street taco to try!
