Food - delicious Service - not so good. They did not bring my coffee or the milk i ordered. They did not tell me it was self service and told me everything was at the serving bar but they weren't listening to me because I specifically said even the milk. And the guy said everything. I get to the bar abd there is no milk. Then I went back and said I didn't see the milk there. So he gives me milk in a little cup. I said i paid fir a cup of 2%milk. Finally he gave me a cup of milk. They need to listen and follow through with the entire order. Abd they need to explain better how it works when you are eating there on the drink situation. read more

I had a breakfast burrito, and it was good. Think of it as an anti burrito to every Mexican or Mexican-inspired BB you've ever had. The only thing in common is the tortilla. The place is bright, clean and spacious. The manager/cashier is as colorful and helpful as described by others. I had trouble choosing a breakfast item, and the BB I had was a compromise. Many other items looked enticing, but were missing a crucial item or had something I did not need. I don't believe W Cafe served any potatoes in any form, and I do like having potatoes with my breakfast. Caveman's breakfast is the item I am most likely to try next, and after that I am not sure what else to order. Pancakes and eggs is a good item, but not at the $8 price tag. Coffee was outstanding. Ehh quality of a mom and pop shop but they actually have 3 stores. You know it's the type of shop that say you get 2 choice of sides with the entree but they really only have 2 sides? Lol Got the spicy roast beef sandwich and it was a bit too spicy for most people I'd say. I asked for sauce on the side and on my receipt too but sauce was on my sandwich as usual. I ordered a "fresh squeezed" orange juice today with my meal, and it tastes like it came from a jug. The manager tells me it's truly fresh though, so I guess he is honest. Ordered To go a chicken curry salad , chia pudding and chicken noodle soup. The flavor is good. I wish the chia pudding had some more moisture, it was more like a mound of chia with granola. We stopped for a late lunch after being at Kaiser for an appointment. The reviews on yelp were good so we decided to give it a try. I had the pastrami which was a major disappointment. There were two small pieces of pastrami on half of the roll and three pieces on the other half it was mostly bread with very little pastrami. Came to Irvine to visit a school and was looking for something close to eat and came across this place on yelp. It did not disappoint, they had a lot of options. I had the veggie omelet and it came with a side salad, toast, and fruit. It was all made fresh and you could tell by the amazing taste of it. This place is across the hospital and it's in an unassuming lot, but the food and presentation are amazing. Ample parking in an open lot. Place is spacious and bright. Plain looking place, very generic. Zero character. But that's not what the review is about. ordered scrambled eggs with chorizo and beans. Received some cold scrambled eggs with beans. When I asked the owner ( the snobby looking guy with the big fake gold watch) Where is the chorizo, he said, it's mixed with the beans. It was obviously a lie, because there was not even a speck of chorizo in there. And plus, who mixes chorizo with beans??? The menu clearly states scrambled eggs with chorizo. Why would he lie and say it's in the beans, Instead of owning up to his mistake and redoing the dish It just makes him and his business look bad. Plus the guy who served the food had dirty hands and looked like he just rolled out of bed. Very unprofessional. Chorizo and eggs is such a simple dish, it's practically impossible to mess it up.
