Wawa always has a great menu
    Dan L.

I get it, a chain is just a chain. And it's the people that really make the difference. I particularly like this waba grill as it is one of the better ones that I have been to. It's a little trickier to find right off St. Rose parkway because it's tucked in the back of a shopping center but is definitely worth the travel. The place is neat and clean, the staff is very kind and refreshing as well as being nice and attentive. I would much rather talk to a human being than one of those touch screen boards and it's nice that this restaurant still has people at the front counter that care about their job. I really can't say anything negative about the food, because it's always on point. It tastes fresh, is very filling, and the portions are really good. Bottom line? If you're looking for a waba grill, I would add this one to your list. It's really a great place to go when you want something quick, healthy, and not that expensive.

Veggie bowl with steak and chicken
    Roxanne E.

Came here for a healthy dinner on a Sunday night and it wasn't busy. My husband and I ordered a bowl. Mine was a Veggie bowl with steak and chicken and his was the same but he had rice. The veggies were super fresh and steamed with no seasoning, which we liked. However, the amount of protein was super minimal. (Please refer to my photo.) I was surprised. We both literally got half a chicken thigh and a pinch of steak. Definitely not worth what we paid for.... The miso soup, don't get it! It tasted like water. My suggestion, Veggies to protein ratio should be better and the miso soup needs flavoring.

    Chicken Veggie Bowl :)

Waba Grill is a new favorite of ours. We will definitely be going more when we are on this side of town. Items tried and liked: Chicken Veggie Bowl - chicken was delicious with just the right amount of sauce, veggies were nice and crisp (no seasoning) and rice was cooked just right. Dumplings - my daughter really enjoyed them. Due to a recent health issue, I appreciate the natural taste of food and having the option of seasoning your own food. Sauce packets are given on the side which is perfect. Online ordering is available and our preferred way. It was easy, convenient and our order was ready at the time given. Employee was nice. Interior was clean. Parking was hectic but thankfully we were able to find a spot. I hope you decide to check them out :)

    Full of ICE THAI TEA

Every time I order a Thai Tea $4.89 x2. They give me an FULL OF ICE Thai Tea. So annoying that you get ripped off. The feeling of paying $10 for a bag of ice.

When I heard word that WaBa Grill was opening in the valley, I was pretty interested. It would be our first location! My husband and I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after our gym session to grab some food. When we arrived, there were a good amount of people waiting for their food. They weren't busy per say -- I think they were just backed up. There was only two people working at the time so things came out pretty slow. My husband and I decided to share a plate. We chose the WaBa combo, which is steak and chicken and we chose garlic serrano for our sauce. The plate came with salad and dumplings as well. When we were waiting for our food, we noticed that they were making it fresh so at least none of the meat was pre-cooked. When we got our food, I noticed that the sauce was already on the meat so it wasn't served on the side. I think next time, I'll have them put it on the side so I can control the amount. The chicken was good -- had good flavor and wasn't overcooked. The steak was shaved steak versus actually pieces but it also had good flavor. The garlic serrano sauce was a bit sweet so I think it is way better off on the side. The dumplings were decent, salad was fresh, and the rice was just rice. The rice did go great with everything especially with sauce. While the food is not mind blowing, it is good and relatively healthy. The prices aren't horrible either for what you get. I definitely would not mind coming back and hope more locations open up in the valley. I would love a location closer to where I live.

    Mixed Taco Trio
    Shelley V.

A neighbor told me about WaBa Grill and it looked and sounded good so I went in on a night I didn't feel like cooking. I was immediately greeted and welcomed in by the staff. The menu has plenty of options. You can get bowls, plates, tacos, and salads. They have plenty of ways to customize your entree with different proteins, sides, and sauces. I ordered the healthy combo with the mini chicken bowl and selected the order of 5 dumplings to go with it as the side. I also ordered the taco trio that included one each of chicken, steak, and shrimp. The mini bowl was actually a decent size of rice and chicken with teriyaki sauce. The potstickers were good and served with a sweet chili sauce for dipping. The tacos are a good size and they have really good flavor. The bang bang sauce has a spicy kick to it and pairs well with the tacos. The service was on point. The workers are friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back.

We were seated immediately but then nothing for almost 10 min! I was thinking like it's so empty in here it shouldn't take this long for someone to come over. Finally we were asked if we wanted drinks or appetizers. She apologized for the wait and thanked us for being patient so that made up for the wait. We proceeded to order Thai beer and the lychee martini. We also ordered the fried pork belly bites and the wing zap. The drinks and food came very quick and was fresh and hot! The fried pork belly was sooooo good! I was expecting it to be super fatty but it had a great meat to fat ratio and the fact it was fried made it so much better! The green sauce that accompanied it didn't taste like much tho. The wing zap was also good but I actually liked the pork belly better. For our entrees we had the prawns with curry, Basil fried rice with steak and drunken noodle with the crispy duck. Again food came fast and hot! The prawns with curry was outstanding as was the basil fried rice with steak. The steak was sooooo tender and the rice was super flavorful. One of my favorite Thai dishes is drunken noodles so I was excited to dig in to this! The noodles with the sauce that it was bathing in was a flavor explosion but I did not like the fried duck on top. I should've went with steak. Also I think for the price of this dish, the portion was pretty small, I guess you're paying for the duck but I would've preferred more of the noodles. I would still get it again but not with the duck. Our server's name was Porjai and she later explained she was there by herself (other than the chef) She was an amazing server and I felt bad for being mentally impatient in the beginning. We tipped her more than 20%! The place remained dead throughout our visit, I hope business picks up for them because I need them to still be around the next time we come back!

Came by to experience Las Vegas restaurant week. We ordered 1 set of their restaurant week special…read more(o hamachi, tom kha goong, steak and truffle fries, and mango sticky rice), wing zaap, panang crispy prawns, and a shrimp pad see ew. Our personal faves were the panang, pad see ew, and mango sticky rice. The panang fried both the prawns and their shells! Keep that in mind if you're not a shell eater as this limits the amount that the dish actually feeds. Pad see ew was seasoned well and came with a generous amount of shrimp that I found myself wanting more noodles! Mango sticky rice was stickier than expected and reminded me of the Vietnamese dessert (che), but who can ever not like this dessert. The portions were smaller than the usual family-style portions of most Thai places. Service was great and parking was ample.

It smelled heavenly, but the real magic happened when I put the fork in the bunch! Smokin' Sammich Is one of those places that's tucked in the back of a shopping center. But I'm telling you right here and now it is absolutely worth the hunt! I had read about this place online, saw some Instagram posts about it and decided it was about time for me to try it for myself. This is not one of those quick little snack places, this is when you are seriously hungry and need something to keep the wolf from the door. Everything looked so amazing on the menu, I really didn't know what to do. I opted for the bowl with noodles and rice, brisket, I paid extra to have the side of grilled pork belly, and it also came with a couple of egg rolls. I jumped into the egg rolls first, they were so good. At first I was a little put off because they seem so small, but in this case big things come in small packages! Packages! And the dipping sauce for the rolls, top notch! I had to use a lot of restraint, because I wanted to dig right in, but I wanted to taste the meat on its own, as that is the mark of a really good barbecue. I'll just say this, I would put this meat up against anyone in a competition! The brisket was fall apart tender, had great bark on it, and had just the right amount of smoke. It was still moist, and so flavorful. The pork belly was absolutely amazing. Like the brisket had great bark on it but was tender, and juicy on the inside. All I could think about while I was eating it was how awesome it would be on a cheeseburger. Let's talk about the rice and noodles. Most bowls use rice and or noodles as an afterthought. More of just a base to lay the meat on. Not this place. The rice was some of the best I've ever had. Had just the right amount of stickiness, and definitely tasted like it was just fresh cooked then and there. Same thing with the noodles. Absolutely flavorful and a great side dish. Okay, let's talk sauce. I brought home some of the spicy barbecue, as I like a little bit of heat with my sauce. And this one delivers in spades! Super delicious. Had just the right amount of heat at the back of my throat, and really complimented the meat without overpowering it. You could put this on the pork belly, the brisket or an old shoe.. anything would taste good with this sauce! Since I had rice, I knew I was going to want some of their teriyaki sauce. Wow! Just wow! You can tell this is not out of a jug from Costco. This stuff is homemade right there! Much like the spicy barbecue sauce, this had a little bit of a surprise kick to it. Definitely not overpowering and was an absolute joy to put on the rice and the noodles! Bottom line? This is going to be my go-to sandwich place for the rest of my life. I cannot wait to go back and try everything on the menu at least once. If you were ever in the area and you didn't stop by to get something here, then shame on you!

I loved my smoked brisket bowl, spring roll (which was closer to me to lumpia) and the low mein. The food is served with some Filipino flair, which I always appreciate! It's a casual restaurant, and it was quiet inside. I would definitely recommend trying out trying Smokin Sammich if you like BBQ, or Asian fusion food! Hats off again to the staff and their friendly customer service. You were awesome!
