Really horrible service and rude cashier. We ordered two plates one Salmon, one shrimp and a Miso Soup and paid $29. The two small pieces of Salmon were tasteless. Worst service EVER!! One star is very generous. First, they give me a chicken bowl with NO CHICKEN, just rice smothered in teriyaki sauce. I'm forced to come back, and the cashier is too busy balancing the register and makes me wait 5 minutes. I go on to explain to her what happened and she gives me attitude the entire time, asking me if I was sure I went to that location HELLO CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. She proceeds to speak to her coworkers in Spanish (mind you I speak Spanish fluently) on how they don't believe me and will be checking cameras. Nearby similar places Soy Sauce Roll & Bowl and The Flame Broiler both compare favorably to WaBa. I really love the concept as I am a big fan of meat/veggie/rice bowls. But the execution leaves much to be desired. I got the salmon veggie bowl with avocado. It was $11.25 so not cheap. The salmon portion was very small. They put the teriyaki sauce on top of the avocado, so the one part that doesn't need any sauce gets all the sauce. The sauce should go on the bowl before they put the avocado topping on. Great customer service will always get 5 stars from me!! The first night I went in, Jamie was cooking and Savannah and Breda were up front. Great team! They were extremely welcoming when I asked if they were still serving (I came in 5 min before close). The establishment was very clean and the made-to-order food was fresh. I have ordered pick up and take out several times since. One of the take out orders was incorrect. When I called, I was given options on how I would like them to correct the mistake. This is great! They were very friendly and genuinely sorry for the error. I get it, mistakes happen. The way it was handled (great customer service) is why I will be a loyal customer. The portion size is good and the options are just right. They've been very accommodating when it comes to my special requests... no onions, sauce on the side, white meat, brown rice. They listen! This review is for delivered food: Me and few other coworkers ordered from here and 2 of the plates came a bit incorrect. However, the food was actually pretty good. I got the chicken rib steak plate with white rice. Its a pretty big portion, so you will deff get full. I decided to try these imbeciles one more time and boy, what a fuggin dipshit decision that was. Came to get lunch (a shrimp veggie bowl and a chicken veggie bowl for me and my girlfriend). Our order was taken and we sat down to wait for our food. After about a fifteen minute wait, I noticed that the patrons who had come after us were being served first so I approached the counter to ask where our meals were. The cashier explained that they had run out of shrimp (!?!?!?!) and so hadn't prepared our meal. They could have at least prepared my girlfriend's chicken bowl but they didn't bother to serve that one up. They didn't tell us that they had run out of shrimp. Had I not approached the counter, they might not have ever let us know that something was amiss. This place is consistently inferior in service. What's more, the kitchen cook and food prep lady spent the entire time chatting and shooting the breeze. They never bothered to notify the cashier that they were out of shrimp. But have to subtract 1 star because they ran out of iced tea 90 minutes before closing and when I asked if they were going to make some more the said no. If you're open for business, then you're open, so refill the iced tea and don't even wait to be asked about it. So lazy!!! And that must have been the closing supervisor. I stopped by here to get a quick bit to eat after working. I ordered the Steak signature plate with avocado. I sat in the left bottom corner of the restaurant. I probably finished eating with in 10-15 mins. Within 5-10 mins after eating I start getting really nauseous. Luckily I lived around the corner because then I proceeded to vomit out of my mouth and buttocks violently. It was like Mount St. Helens volcano erupting in my bathroom. I don't have a weak stomach, especially being a military vet, I've had my fare share of bad food. I then after decide to call WABA grill "just to inform" them that they might want to check their food so they do not get anyone else sick. I was not to trying to get my money back. Per our conversation the young lady Jennifer on the phone offered to give me my money back for the meal, so I said why not. So I then drove all the way back to WABA grill after destroying my bathroom. When I arrived the two other employees came out to tell me that I should have brought the plate for proof. I pointed to the garbage can and said it's there and you can check the security cameras to see me finishing the whole plate. Employee Jennifer then says she's only going to give me back a portion that covers for the steak. That's what upset me. I wouldn't have drove all the way back for a portioned refund. I would have told you to keep the money. This is how WABA grill decided to handle it! Pathetic. Next time I get food poisoning I'll take pics of my bathroom so you can see the destruction. I love WaBa Grill, but I dislike this particular location. The cashier that is working at noon on 9/17/16 does not care about customers. This cashier was a female. So I ordered a Salmon Teriyaki plate and I was waiting for 15 minutes wondering where my order is, apparently she did not call out the order number and she gave the meal to some other person. By the time I asked where my order was, the person who had my Salmon plate has left the restaurant. I had to wait another 15 minutes for another Salmon plate, and she did not say sorry or anything.
