I frequent this restaurant and have never had a bad experience until last Saturday. I brought my daughter in and had Tina as our waitress. She never smiled, and made me feel unwelcome. Glared at me and never checked on us. I had to ask a busboy for coffee and got decaf because he didn't know what I wanted. My daughter's biscuit was hard as a rock so we never said anything. I won't be bringing my daughter back and definitely not on a weekend. So disappointing. read more

background: meeting a good friend for breakfast situation: once meal was done, i waited about 10 minutes to pay. credit card was sitting on the edge of table, i was trying to flag people, restaurant was not full at all maybe 20% full, if that. My friend already left. i was sitting waiting. Credit card transaction takes 1 minute or less. Server was avoiding me and even sat down at the table behind me with a chair chit chatting! I saw he was busy picking up an order so i waited. I was aware he was in the middle of something and was sensitive to his business, but after a while it started to become strange, since the restaurant wasn't full at all. Opinion: food is ok. As soon as you work in public you have to learn to deal with people some are normal, weird, and so on but just be nice about it. when people want to pay and leave its important to be aware of that. final: My friend said he will never go back and neither will I. There is nothing like a great breakfast to get your day started the right way! Of course, there's no better way to enjoy your great breakfast than dining at a super friendly restaurant, and when "super friendly" comes to mind, I think of Waffle Farm, located in Lincoln, CA. As you enter the restaurant, a friendly staff member will meet you, and seat you. You'll notice the "country " theme decor and the breakfast counter, with the kitchen behind the counter. In previous days the counter would have been a very popular place to enjoy your breakfast, but with the current state restrictions, thanks to the COVID-19 virus, all dining at the counter, along with all indoor dining is not happening. The first page of the menu features lunch selections, including hamburgers, sandwiches, along with soups and salads. It's diner fare, which is among my favorite food. Waffle Farm is open for breakfast and lunch, and anything on the menu is available any time the restaurant is open. Waffle Farm features a large, comfortable patio for outdoor dining enjoyment. As per state mandate, the patio is surrounded by a small fence, so beer and wine can be enjoyed on the patio. Thanks to the COVID-19 virus, the state has mandated that restaurant in Placer County only allow outdoor dining. For me, that is not a problem, as unless the weather is rainy or excessively foggy, I prefer to dine outdoors, as I think it makes my food taste better. From the "Farm Favorites" section of the breakfast menu, I ordered "Polish Sausage" as the "star" of my breakfast. The menu states, "All Farm Favorites are served with two eggs, country potatoes or hashbrowns, and biscuit and gravy or toast and jelly." Toast and jelly or biscuit and gravy? ...that's really easy for me to decide! My large Polish sausage was split in half, and grilled to perfection The sausage was split just enough so it held together, yet when cut into bite-size pieces, it was easy to split apart, which was a nice tough. The sausage was on the large size - Waffle Farm does not "skimp" on portions - and was juicy and tender. The serrated knife was really just for decoration, as the sausage was super juicy and pork tender. It's always difficult to choose between hash brown or country potatoes, but for me, the year 2020 seems to be the "year of the hashbrowns" so I went with hash brown potatoes. My potatoes were cooked just the way good hashbrowns should arrive, fried perfectly crispy golden brown on the outside, and chewy tender inside. I noted these amazing hashbrowns weren't salty or greasy, and had the perfect taste. You could categorize me as a lover of fine hash brown potatoes! My order of eggs over easy arrived exactly as I ordered them - fried over easy - perfectly fried over easy, which is the mark of a breakfast chef who cooks with talent. The biscuit was light and fluffy, and covered with delicious, creamy sausage gravy. Such a great side! I gobbled down the biscuit and scooped the remaining gravy on my hash brown potatoes for an added taste sensation. Delicious food, served by some of the friendliest staff in Lincoln, on a sunny patio, with a relaxing view of the west Lincoln landscape. Sound good? We've been here a few times, so it's about time for a review. We've always been seated quickly and our drink order is always taken before the server comes, which is great. We love the comfort of the booths and I like all the natural light from the windows. We've only been here for breakfast and we find it to be quick and good. Today I had the California omelette and it hit all the marks (bacon, cheese, eggs, tomatoes and avocado.) My husband had the linguisa and it had a nice sear on it. Our potatoes (country potatoes and hash browns) were a little pale, almost anemic, and could be improved with a crispy touch. The next time we visit we will be sure to ask for our potatoes crispy. It was busy during our visit and they handled the crowds well. It's clearly a town favorite. read more

First visit, Sunday morning around 10:00 AM. Pros: - Comfortable, open dining area with lots of light. We sat at a booth. - Service was efficient and friendly enough. We were seated quickly and our server, a young man whose name I cannot recall, did a fine job. - Food! Wife liked her omelette (forget which one). Her hash browns were perfectly brown and crispy. My bacon waffle was good, but would benefit from more bacon. - Value was good. Prices are fair for the quantity and quality of food. Cons: - My country potatoes were average. They needed a few more minutes on the grill, and could have used more seasoning. Verdict: - We will return! Overall, it was a nice, comfortable experience. We arrived to a very busy restaurant (the weekend of Thanksgiving) and were confused. All new parties arriving were waiting in line to be seated, but that wasn't immediately clear. The folks inside were making it happen one by one. **Please put a sign up out in the lobby: Please wait to be seated** Right now I think it's only posted up by the host area. I asked those in front of me and they confirmed that they were waiting in line (it felt awkward, especially since a party of 3 arrived and pushed past everyone else up to the front and seemed to be served before all of us). We didn't have to wait that long to be seated despite the line. The interior is pretty large and it's a very open-concept. It has a cafeteria vibe since you're sitting out in the open and fairly close to those around you. However, the food is SUPER YUMMY and far surpasses what one would expect! It's EXCELLENT! The waffles are crisp, warm, and delicious, and their eggs/hashbrowns/toast combo is also excellent. I would recommend that they allow you to do an omelette/waffle combo - because I truly didn't want the hashbrowns or toast. My temptation to try the waffles there was strong, but I need eggs (protein) in the morning - so yeah. I got both meals - hahah. It was way too much food. Overall though, this place is legit. And it's super conveniently located right near our grandma's house so we can pop over for breakfast any ol' time. And we will return! read more

The middle of the egg tostada turned to mush. The bread was over buttered to the point I had to scrape off about a pat of butter. The potatoes had been sitting for hours and had significant dried out edges, and were not hot. Service was not rude but left a lot to be desired. Finally made it in to the Waffle Farm for breakfast. Let me start by saying the service is absolutely fantastic! The coffee is perfect; another spot with java reminiscent of Sambo's or Colony Kitchen. The decor is also a little bit like the coffee shops of the 70's, which is a good thing for me. Brings back happy memories of the good ol' days. So the food is good. I ordered a bacon waffle; but only after checking to make sure they had peanut butter available, which they did. The waffle was good. The kids ordered french toast, they said it was good, too. My wife had the chocolate chip waffle combo, which added an egg and sausage links. She was satisfied with her meal, as well. Overall the food was good, but the service was excellent, the coffee was tasty, and the atmosphere was really pleasant! So I'm sure I'll be returning. From the moment we walked up to the building I was skeptical. Line out the door, but not because there wasn't enough seating. It was because the hostess was taking temps, seating people, then serving them drinks. Fine if you're not busy, but when you have a line out the door, tasks need to be delegated. We watched as staff scrambled, running into each other without a clue what they were doing. We were finally seated. Drinks were served promptly but not once were we asked if we wanted a refill. No one checked on us. When the food came, the ticket was set on the table as well. They basically said, "here's your food, we're done serving you." I will say- the food was EXCELLENT. It surpassed my expectations by far. If I was the owner, I would fire every single person except the cook(s). But I'm not, so clearly this review is the best I can do. Tucked away in the corner of Lincoln Villages at Twelve Bridges is the Waffle Farm. This quaint country kitchen is located out side of Sun City Lincoln and just down the street from Whitney Highschool and community park. This country themed Diner has a large dining room reminiscent of Grandma's kitchen. They also have an outside patio area that is dog friendly. Great for taking advantage of California's fair weather. Which is exactly what Dexter (my dog) and I did. The Waffle Farm menu has a large selection of varying topped waffles. As you might imagine. They also offer different types of breakfast scrambles. Some breakfast skillets, eggs benedict, griddle selections, and a kids menu. They also offer lunch selections of sandwiches and hamburgers. The service is spot on. Quick, friendly, with a smile and plenty of hot coffee. Dexter and I opted to have the Barney omelette. This three egg omelette is loaded with diced ham, bacon, sausage, linguica, Ortega chili, mushrooms, and Jack and cheddar cheese. We chose to lose the mushrooms and add jalapenos. The omelette comes with your choice of potatoes, hash browns, or our choice country potatoes. We also ordered half side of bacon (2 slices) and opted to have a pancake instead of toast. Price for coffee and breakfast was $21 before tip. Yikes! Now for the pluses . The services was outstanding. It was the first spring like day of the year and we were the first to use the patio. They quickly cleaned us a spot and kept the hot coffee flowing. The food was good served hot, quickly, and just the way we ordered it. Now for the minuses. I thought the price was high for breakfast.The inside dining area is quaint, but tired. The bathroom smelled disgusting. The bathrooms are surface clean but not truly clean. The paint is peeling, stall dividers rusting, floor is dirty in all four corners. The bathrooms are in dire need of a remodel. What's the kitchen look like? My only complaint is that the new management is not currently honoring the loyalty cards we had from before under the previous owner. This is not good public relations. This is the place my family always goes to during our big family reunions. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, December 26th, whenever. We've been going to Waffle Barn (Roseville) and this location for at least 10 years now! It's kind of a greasy breakfast place. You'll get your fries eggs, crispy bacon, and meaty sausage. The omelets are thick and the potatoes are hearty. Is it gourmet? No. It is good and filling? Heck yes. Yeah, it's way better than those chain breakfast places. However, as their name states, the waffles are the name of the game! I always order mines with chocolate chips ON TOP and a side of whipped cream. I guarantee you that you will leave this place full and unbuttoning your pants. And, it's a place of tradition and classic breakfast foods. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time yesterday. Met my wife there for breakfast. As we walked in, we were immediately greeted, given a choice of a table/chairs or a booth .... then, quickly seated. While the décor looked slightly dated, the place gives off a good vibe - it has a homey, country, comfortable feel. As some reviewers have already noted, we felt that the service was very good. Coffee and other beverage options were offered right away along with menus. The waffles looked super but post-holidays, we are watching calories (at least for now). I order ham and cheese scrambled eggs. I also opted for fruit rather than potatoes and toast. My lady went for bacon and eggs over easy with fruit. Our meals were prepared and served much faster than one would anticipated .... unless you are standing while waiting in a fast food burger joint. We have seen this place but had avoided it due to the lack of reviews. It was a mistake to have waited. We LOVED this place. Tons of seating space and most of it was filled. But they bus the table almost before you can make it to the front to pay, so they can seat you quickly. I ordered the Haystack and my wife had the eggs Benedict. Both were hot and delicious. Could not finish the haystack. It starts with TWO POUNDS of potatoes and then they added about a half pound of meat and cheese and top it with two made to order eggs. A worthy food challenge if I ever saw one. The service was fast and attentive. Our coffee cups were constantly filled without having to ask. Loved this experience on a beautiful sunny Sunday. Sunday breakfast stop, 9:30am. Expected to wait for a table. Sure enough the line was pretty long - BUT! - fortunately there were 2 seats open at the "bar" and we grabbed them. The wait staff were all VERY friendly and attentive. It was refreshing to see them work so well together. Sitting at the counter definitely has its advantages too. The 3 cooks were just cranking out plate after plate of delicious looking meals...none of which looked thrown together or haphazard. Quite the entertainment to watch a cohesive unit work together to make their customers happy. My friend caught a glimpse of their country gravy (after she had already been served) and asked if she could just try a little taste. They happily complied, with more than just a little taste. My coffee cup was always kept full, and by the end of our visit - so was my tummy. I did see 1 curious dish go out more than a few times: a waffle with strawberries and a big serving of ice cream on top, laced with an ample amt of whipped cream. Holy moly! Decadent. Good to see a place that keeps the smiles on the employees faces and customer's faces too in these times we are living in now. Keep up the good work guys! read more

The staff was friendly and it took a while to get served. They didn't bring us menus right away. They brought the hot chocolate which I could tell the difference between Cool Whip and whip cream and they said oh sorry the whip cream melted and it was not whip cream. Then the butter was not butter. It was margarine. There were a lot of senior citizens eating there so maybe they have adapted their menu to fit the dietary needs of senior citizens but I thought they should have an option to carry a variety of butter, margarine, whipped cream Cool Whip. The table was also not clean there was old straw wrapper crunched up off to the side, OK I rarely put a bad review but I wasn't happy with this and we would never go there again and not recommend it. It was busy on a Sunday which we expected a wait. We got a table and sat there for about 20 minutes before getting our food ordered while at least 3 people who sat after us got there order taken. I told our waiter Chris when he finally came to our table he gave nothing but attitude with us. Then goes behind the half wall where we were sitting and says to his coworker how we are lying (which they have cameras to see when we sat down)and laughing at it. He came back and I told him I could hear him and he says I know and laughs. That's when I said I'll take my business else where then.
