I've been to this location a bunch of times over the last year. I used to go to Grant, but Grant was always dirty and not appealing and a bit slow. But Valencia is great. It's always clean here and the food always good. The service is always solid, usually bordering on great. I have almost no complaints; this location has single handedly taken me from hating Waffle House to loving THIS Waffle House, at least. I am grateful. read more

Went to Tucson for a wedding and we since we don't have a waffle house there, we stopped by for breakfast after taking a friend to the airport. This is a mile away from there. It wasn't that busy when we went and they got our order right away. We got the cheesesteak eggs breakfast and fiesta chicken protein bowl - this is a new item has 52g protein. The chicken is so tasty and love the flavors. Of course we had to get a waffle. Good thing we only shared 1 pc because its dense and not hard. This is my first time at a Waffle House! It is now my new favorite breakfast place! Adi our server was very sweet. She is very attentive and was very helpful with suggestions of her favorite way to have her waffle! She suggested pecan and chocolate! Sooooooo good. This was my first time to a Waffle House. I love waffles and these were great. It's close to "Hotel Row" that runs down the main road to Tucson Airport. If you're staying in one of them this is an option for breakfast or lunch. I walked from the Hampton Inn. Good friendly service and food was prepared quickly. Restaurant has plenty of seats, large windows that allow in plenty of light, and a nice sized parking lot. read more

I went today at 9pm and no one was inside eating. I get a Texas bacon sandwich to go and a waffle and after 5 min a couple comes in and they sit down and get served and get there food first thank me. I was observing and all I needed was a waffle to be packed and instead they gave it to the couple that came in. Big time disappointment. I stopped in on a Sunday mid-morning in December 21' and find it reasonably busy (as expected). I sit at the bar directly next to the cash register, and nobody says a word to me for at least 5 minutes. Employees walking back & forth, chatting about whatever,etc. When I saw someone check their phone for something, I immediately flagged her down in asking to place an order. And it was a simple one too- Fiesta omelette with hash browns diced with tomatoes and onions with a side of whole wheat toast, along with a waffle. For the drink, I requested iced water. So imagine my surprise when I receive dirty silverware, water without ice, an omelette without the diced hash browns (only regular, greasy hash browns) and without either the whole wheat toast or waffle? I was patient in waiting, as well as ordering. But now I'm thinking WTF is up with this? I blow off the hash browns because it looked over cooked and unappetizing, and request the whole wheat toast, waffle, and clean silverware. Forget the ice for the water- I'll live without it. I eventually receive everything (10 minutes later), eat, and am ready to leave at this point. I waited silently and patiently for the server (or anyone) to take a hint that I was done due to the empty dishes. Nobody stops, nobody notices. Ultimately, this tells me one thing- nobody cared. Mind you, I'm sitting at the bar next to the cash register where at that moment, half of Waffle House had now emptied. Hardly busy. I flag someone finally for what seemed to be nearly a 13-15 minute wait to pay the bill. The total comes to $17. Ok, no problem. Yet just when I'm thinking about leaving the entire $20 without change, I notice two additional employees + my server check their phones for something. Really? At this point, I do something that I almost never (and I mean never EVER do)- I collect the change, and refuse to leave a tip. Bump that. The server truly didn't earn it, and clearly didn't value me being there. Why should I? Sorry, but this Waffle House needs a serious sit down discussion from upper management in not only paying attention to customers, but also respecting them as well. VERY DISAPPOINTED First 10 minutes sitting right in front of lady in cash register and no one even said hi, or "give us a minute to prepare a table" or something. There were 2 tables available just needed to be cleaned but they were just walking back and forth talking to each other and on their phones. Finally cleaned one but never told us to sit down. AFTER 20 minutes when another couple comes in they finally cleaned both tables, sits us both down and they help the other couple first. Despite not having been here for a few years, the Waffle House is always a place I will enjoy. I do like the whole process which starts with the calling of the order and I always sit at the counter to watch my food being cooked. It is always a pecan waffle and hash browns covered and scattered. On this day, the waitress screwed up and forgot my pecans, but was nice enough to remake my waffle. It turned out good as always despite what looks like a messy waffle iron area. The hash browns were crispy and contained alot of onions and that familiar slice of cheese. The coffee as well is very good here and endless. Great place to stop on the road and better than the other breakfast chains for waffles. read more

This location IS open for dine-in. Google has posted incorrect information. Havent had Waffle House in a while. Saw there was one right up the street from the hotel I was staying at. Google says this place is not open for dine-in. I called and was told the opposite. This place is open for dine-in and take out. They are practicing social distance guidelines and employees were wearing masks. This location was not busy at all. 2 other individuals were dining when i walked in. Lupita was the lone server working, along with Steven on the grill. Both provided great service. I got the All-Star, which I think is the only meal I ever ordered from WH. This Valencia Waffle House had a sad, sad feeling to it. Nice staff. Very cordial and seemingly happy to actually get customers in the place. It doesn't seem to get busy, like, at all. Especially not when there is a Jerry Bob's (local favorite) directly across the street! And being right near the airport may also not be of great help -- though this place has been in business for years and years. So they're doing something very right. Still, people seam to love it. This is where you go when you want a fairly swift breakfast at a tiny cost. You won't be a googly eyed when you leave, but it will fill you up in a hurry. Actually...maybe you will get googly eyed. I was on such a high tryptophan trip not even mid way through the meal that I thought I might pass out at the table. Menu is standard. Not fancy at all. Think luxe cafeteria-style dining. Apparently, Waffle House sells all meals just about all day. You can get (besides waffles, of course), steak and eggs (not sure what cut of steak), Texas sausage or bacon sandwiches, a two egg breakfast (which is the saddest looking thing on a plate), sausage or breakfast biscuit sandwiches, omelets, grits and more. They even have hashbrowns topped with grilled tomatoes, jalapenos, mushrooms, sausage gravy and chili. Remember when Bender from Futurama turned into a glutinous human? I bet he'd be eating that. For lunch and dinner, they serve a T-bone steak, cheese steak melt, BLT, bacon chicken melt, burgers and a bunch of other sandwiches and also salads. I actually like the sausage and egg biscuit for breakfast. It's an ample size for $3. But, goodness, install a stereo system or something for these folks! Unless some patron staggers over to the jukebox (they have one of those fancy, newer ones installed) to drop a few coins for a selection of oldies, the only sounds you hear in this place is that of strained distress. Service great! Food, and value, not so great. It's been a long time since I've been to a Waffle House, mostly because I've never found it to be very good. I thought I'd give it a try though, since there aren't any at all where I live. This particular location has ample parking. I was nicely greeted, and my food came out quickly. Since it's the "Waffle" house, I thought the waffles would be outstanding. They aren't. They are the frozen waffle quality, and they aren't very big. The bacon was cooked well, but it was very fatty and gave me indigestion. Eggs were OK. I ordered coffee, two eggs, a waffle and bacon. It came out to $11.73 with tax, not including tip. That's way too much money for the quality and quantity of food you get. The coffee was weak and practically tasteless, and it as $1.95. Way too much for such low quality coffee. You can go to any other breakfast place and get more and better food for much less. I suggest going across the street to Jerry Bob's. WAY better food, for much less money. Waffle House, I've given you enough tries. I'm done with all of you for good! read more

Food & service was awesome! Our waitress Sonia was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious & cooked perfectly. The wait time wasn't that bad. It wasn't crowded but it did take a little bit for the food to be ready. Which Sonia did come to tell us sorry. I appreciated that. The food was super DELISH!! I get so excited for this treat whenever I come to visit AZ!! The eggs, hash browns, sausage were cooked to perfection. My waffle was a bit crispy but whatevs, I soaked it with butter and lots of syrup!! It was a feast!! I would like to add maybe next time I'd ask for a cup of ice. I don't like my drinks to be warm but after my OJ sitting there it becomes room temperature. My only minus 1 star was the greeter. He was sweet but I would've liked him to just greet and that's it. The many conversations he'd come by to have kinda made me uncomfortable as I was visiting & was trying to soak up as much time as possible with my niece. I'm sure he spoke to us about 5 times. Flophouse, worst place I've eaten around Tucson. First off; waitstaff your fine/great but your cook sucks and your manager. Advice; Waiter/Waitresses your establishment is going to bring down your tips big time. Be on your coffee game/hospatality. A layer of grease has settled on your condiments use some dish soap to scrub them down. Cook (older white guy) you have the general idea, but you need to work on a few things. No fried eggs should have runny whites or be overhard. (Unless asked for specific) Hash browns need to be flipped and added butter, you only cooked one side of the hash browns. Waffle was not cooked even, not sure if your waffle maker is broken. Manager, everything above but a lot more. There is a quality issue here and you're not doing your job. read more

We came in early at 6am from the airport and were greeted with the best waitress, Denise. She was chipper, and kept us smiling despite us being tired and a little weary.
