They have some of the rudest workers at this Walmart. One worker I had the misfortune to run into was in the self checkout area on 1-26-23 and she was the rudest I have ever seen in my life. I didn't get her name but she had a face hard to forget, and I don't mean "in a good way". She was a fake blonde, older white woman with horrible bad make-up. She reminded me of the old Twilight Zone episode with a young William Shatner where he sees a creature out on the wing of the airplane messing with the airplanes engine and Shatners character freaks out because he thinks the plane will crash. This is more like 2.25 stars... Let me qualify my review by stating that I'm a firm believer that places like Wells Fargo, HSBC and WALMART are all owned by the DEVIL. O_o I have this strange love/hate thing with Walmart. I try not to come here unless it is ABSOLUTELY necessary to save money or if I just wanna get pissed off for the hell of it. Let's face it, there are special kinds of people that work AND shop here. But I came here a couple of weeks ago and was BLOWN AWAY by the new grocery section! Now, had I written this review last week, I might have given them 5 solid stars (amazing, huh?), but alas today I'm giving them BARELY 2.5 and I have a few reasons why. Last week, I spent $150 on groceries and about $60 of it wasn't even on GROCERIES. I picked up odds and ends for my kids, a pair of earrings, etc...you get the idea. I was shopping on a budget (seeing how $200 is my usual weekly binge). Anyhoo, I came in early yesterday morning trying to get ahead of all the other crazed pre-Thanksgiving shoppers AND the rain (gotta love Southern California). The parking was ridiculous, but there were hardly any people in the store... and one has to raise an eyebrow if there are only 3 lines open and more than 5 people in each line, right? Well all those cars probably belonged to all the retarded people they had working in the store yesterday. I'm just sayin... The prices weren't as friendly to me as they were last week, but since I know how much I should be spending on my USUAL purchases, I ended up only picking up a few things which ended up costing me $85 (gasp). I almost died...right there...on the spot. I ended up getting everything else I needed at my other love/hate store (Food4Less). The only thing this place is good for is cheap dog food...but it's soooooo not worth the couple of bucks I save to deal with the weird people, bad parking and crowds. I'll stick to shopping elsewhere... And who knew? a 24 hour Walmart...nice...but that's about it. read more

There's an employee by the name of Christian to work behind the medicine counter. Thus far the rudest most disrespectful encounter I have had at a Walmart. You chose to watch me wait at the only registered it was open. And then yell from behind a counter that was a few feet away if I was looking for anything. I had to yell the medication I was looking for. That person needs to be retrained in regards to customer service and privacy sensitivity. Even after I asked him for what I was looking for they told me it would be in denial, and just believe I begin to walk to the aisle. A NIGHTMARE ON CARSON BOULEVARD! One would think that returning a defective Walmart battery well within the warranty period with original receipts in hand would be a hassle-free, straightforward process. Think again! Leaving my disabled European vehicle behind in Cypress, I managed to make it to this Long Beach store, battery and receipts in hand. I presented the battery, and receipts, to the auto center personnel. This was done after guidance by the customer service department. The receipts revealed that the battery, Walmart's top-of-the-line " EverStart, 5 year, 3 year free replacement" , had failed after only two years. The failure was verified by another facility, and the in-op vehicle itself was proof-positive. But Walmart's succinct, & clearly printed warranty served only to confuse the auto center employee. He did not seem to comprehend the word "warranty"; obviously not comfortable with the many nuances of the English language. He immediately became loud and pugnacious, demanding I present the receipt from the shop that tested the battery! (What shop issues a receipt for a free battery test?!) "Where is the shop?" he demanded. "I want the receipt" he angrily continued. Becoming smug he then stated "it will take an hour to test the battery". I remember thinking "what country am I in?". It became clear the employee seemed to have been schooled in the realm of "mordida", and my continued presence would yield nothing but continued insult. I decided to save money and buy glasses here. After about four months the frames broke. It took five days to replace the frame. eight months later the new frames broke (same place). This time it too two weeks to replace the frame. The frames are cheap and the lenses are poor quality and smudge easily. I have not been satisfied with my glasses since I bought them. If the new glasses last until my next subscription, I will go elsewhere for new glasses. This is my local Walmart and I shop here often. It is not my favorite Walmart. I rarely find everything I am looking for. Hand baskets are few and hard to find. I can always count on at least one thing on my shopping list to be out of stock. I often say that I am not coming back to this place but I really don't want to drive to a farther store. This is where I always buy fuel. I buy a tank of gas three time a week and they have the best price in town. I would like to see a lot of improvements on stock quantity, quality and service at this store. read more

Horrible experience. Sent money via wire for someone to pickup. They went to the store and were told account or system was locked after I paid to have money sent. I called lousy Western Union who said the had no problem with their system. The manager made no sense. I called the Walmar no 5624296239 and these people never answered.They let the phone ring at customer service for 20 or 30 times then hang up. I called multiple times. I called the Walmart in Mineola Tx and the said no problem with the system. I called corporate to file complaint and woman put me thru to Western Union and hung up I called Corp again and Babed finally took the complaint saying would be called in a few days. I paid for money transfer and no one helped. They passed the buck. I actually thought I was crazy. I checked to see if the bad Walmart in Longbeach even had a Western Union and it seems they do. Incompetent staff and pick up orders cannot be processed if their new pick up tower breaks. I wasted over an hour being pointed to three different staff members before a manager finally came up and said orders could not be fulfilled. The Long Beach Towne Center isn't in a bad area, but you wouldn't know that upon walking through this Walmart location. Never have I seen SO MANY cameras in the aisles and locked up products. It honestly makes me nervous coming here. The store is really super big and spread out so be prepared to work out those walking shoes! Parking can be difficult to find at times. Expect the unexpected when you come here. My friend could not walk away from the jewelry/beauty department without purchasing the item right there and then. And then we still had to go stand in their regular checkout to pay for our chips and dranks. (We were going to a party lol sorry you missed the invite.) But similar to another Yelper's experience, my friend was the one buying the alcohol and the cashier asked to see her I.D. AND my I.D. even though we were paying separately. Although it came off as weird and it was awkward how she didn't have any way to explain why...it's basically just to make sure you aren't buying alcohol for minors. BevMo! is the exact same way. We went to Walmart to buy fishing license on a Saturday morning and waited over 30 minutes for somebody to assist us, and when they finally did it was the assistant manager Richard. Who was absolutely no help, he told me maybe I should go buy my fishing license elsewhere if I didn't want to wait. he told me the employee who was assigned to sporting goods to called in sick, I asked him if there was anybody else who can help maybe himself since he's the manager. He copped an attitude I told us to go buy them somewhere else....if anybody from corporate wants to reach out to me I have video of my whole experience at your Walmart store.... This guy needs to be retrained or terminated. If he is the face of your company it's a poor example. read more

This Walmart pickup has many issues. My original pickup was at 10am. It rained all night and morning. I was so happy when it stopped raining about 9:50am. I got a text saying they were working on my order, but it would be delayed, at 10:04am. I got a text saying my order was ready for pickup at 2:19pm. The link wouldn't let me check in, and the app showed it wasn't ready. I called the help line, and she checked me in. Finally the app started working around 2:45. I checked in when I arrived. When I arrived a Walmart, an associate asked me, all all other customers waiting, our names. I then proceeded to watch everyone receive their orders, along with everyone that arrived after me. After waiting an hour, one of the employees bringing items out asked if I every checked in. I told him yes, and he said he would check on my order. The person who originally asked my name came out with the the newest customers order, and said, "he's coming out with your order." About 5 minutes later a gentleman walked out with someone else's order. He then asked me if I checked in and what my name was. He said he didn't have my order, so I asked him to just cancel my order so I don't get charged. He said if it never shows picked up, I won't get charged. We will see, since my experience with this Walmart has been unsuccessful so far. Note: I tried calling pickup when my order wasn't ready at 11am, the end of the pickup window. No one picked up at the pickup extension, and customer service just kept transferring me to When I tried the 562-480-6458 on the pickup signs, it said they aren't answering the phone and to leave a message. The message box was full. WORSE SERVICE EVER! Go to the Walmart in Lakewood! They have much better service and better organized. read more

I've been coming to this Walmart for oil changes for several years now and I've always been satisfied with my service. Yesterday I had the pleasure of encountering Johnny the auto department manager due to a little mishap with my oil change. I desperately needed something before I headed out of town, and this Walmart was the only one that had it. I had gotten there at 630 in the morning on a Sunday to beat the rush. I couldn't find the item on my own, so I kept asking associates where this home protection item might be. One associate told me home office (nope), another told me in the home appliance section (nope). I kept getting the runaround. I kept telling each associate that at Walmart in Anaheim, Industry, and La Habra that they could look it up on the app, and they said no that's not true. Finally I found an associate with some brain cells who pulled out his phone, found it for me, and pointed me to the right direction. When needing to access shaving cream unable to bring cart in area with rest of shopping items, which is not a policy for other stores, & told we were required to pay for these items in specific area rather than being provided with a cosmetic boxes to continue shopping.
