Attended a beautiful rehearsal dinner party here! Originally it was planned to be outside but because of the weather was moved inside about a half hour before. The room we moved into was still accommodating to the 20+ people we had in our party. The food was great. We had 3 options, chicken, salmon and steak. I chose the steak. It was cooked a little more rare than I would normally go for but still very very good! It came with mashed and asparagus which were both great as well. For desert we had the choice between the chocolate moose or lemon pound cake. I went with the moose and it was very rich, I could not finish it. I'm assuming the first 2 rounds of drinks were on the grooms parents so we didn't pay for those but they were poured decently heavy with enough alcohol. Visiting brown university and had dinner here Sunday night. Busy restaurant and people were still coming in at 8:45p! Service was good. I ordered the chef cut special which was a pork chop w mashed potatoes and asparagus . Perfectly grilled chops! Medium. Moist and not dry. Many restaurants over cook pork chops. One of the best pork chops. Mashed potatoes were also delicious. Apps- fried calamari- also good Salad- endive arugula. Delicious and very large portion! Traveler Review (3/5) : our underwhelming brunch experience at Waterman Grille was thanks to the poor service and food. Food (3/5) Stale bread for both our dishes i.e. eggs Benedict and salmon on a bagel. The knife provided was unable to cut through the stiff bread, seemed like the food was cooked and left unattended for a long time. The salad leaves were old and tossed in like 1 teaspoon of dressing, not kidding I could barely taste the dressing or any seasoning in the hollandaise sauce. The pickled onions over the salmon were good. The hash brown had turned chewy by the time our server got us our food! Service (2.5) the young lady serving us was not having it, she got me hash brown when I had asked for a side of greens. Our food took like 45 min to come out and was more or less cold. Beautiful setting with food that hits every time! Made sure to book a reservation because this place can get busy pretty fast. Went for brunch and sat inside but even sitting inside the views are beautiful right on the water. The food did take a good while but once it was there we forgot about how long it took. Personal favorite was the goat cheese omelet which also came with spinach and mushroom. Chicken sausage side was also spectacular. Whole tab came out to around 30$ which is very reasonably priced; we will be back! read more

We were greeted upon entry by a very friendly worker. We had reservations and was seated immediately. We were offered the option of the touch less bar code menu that many restaurants have now or the disposable paper menu, which was nice. As of late the only option has been the barcode which I do appreciate, but having options is great too. SERVICE: We were quickly greeted by our waitress who didn't offer much detail on the cocktails my boyfriend and I inquired about. She was very matter of fact which in turn changed my attitude towards her. When it was time to order our meals her attitude changed for the better and we were genuinely confused lol. Food: I had the Shrimp Arrabiata which was very good. The shrimp was not over cooked, the sauce was delicious. The linguine could have cooked a minute longer but it was not a deal breaker for me. My boyfriend had the Black Bird Farm Burger. When ever he orders red meat he is always confused on his preference which is medium well. I ordered medium well for him and was asked if we wanted medium. I restated medium well and my boyfriend got a medium burger. He took his time to critique the difference between medium well and medium and he is now a fan of medium. He LOVED his burger. His exact words, " It's flavorful and moist, write that in your review!" Drinks: I had the Pom-Jito and he had the Blood Moon Rising. Both drinks were well made and enjoyable. The co reviewer and I took a very special guest out for her birthday tonight to celebrate! We have been here a number of times and they have never let us down. The place is clean, comfortable and has a hip modern style interior. The service tonight was fantastic! "Figs" kept a consistent eye on us and answered every question or request we had. We had three different meals and the Filet, steak, and porkchop were all delicious and served perfectly. The drinks and dessert were delicious as well. We had a 5:45 seating but by the time we left the place was packed. Definitely want reservations when coming on a weekend. Looking forward to coming back. read more

We have gone to Waterman Grille many times in the past and I never was blown away up until this recent time -me and my boyfriend went for their brunch. We got in right away, and there were amazing options on the menu all reasonably priced. I got the spinach mushroom omelette it was very tasty and came with two large hash browns. My boyfriend got the breakfast pulled pork burrito which looked so good and also came with two large hash browns. Both dishes came out right away with no long wait times! The only con was it was freezing in the restaurant because the air vents blow on the tables so we had to be moved but this restaurant definitely is coming back on my rotation! Kudos! read more

WOW. My husband and I had an amazing dinner. The ambiance and energy of this restaurant is romantic and warm. Beautiful architecture and table settings. Our waitress, Kristi, was attentive, energetic, and genuine. Our drinks were great (Guava, kiwi and jalapeño mocktail), crab cakes were to die for, husband was really pleased with his Mac and cheese and my scallops were the best I've ever had! Recently I visited the Waterman Grille with some of my family members and I could not have been more impressed. We visited on the Saturday night before Easter. We had a 6:15 PM reservation but we arrived at 5:50 PM expecting they would not be busy but they were full! When the host saw that two members of our party walked with a cane/walker, he said that instead of waiting for the table that was going to be available at 6:15, he could immediately seat us at a different table that was equally comfortable and next to a window overlooking the Seekonk River. It was so thoughtful of him! Our server, Peter, was likewise accommodating, friendly and professional. He knew to check back with us on a regular basis to be sure everything was to our liking and done correctly. My water glass was never more than half empty! We all ordered different entrees: fish, shrimp, steak and hamburger. I had the grass fed hamburger (without bread being Passover :-). My hamburger was cooked medium rare as ordered and was delicious. I tried to be good and asked for a salad instead of the fries that came with the burger. They brought me a really nice salad but when the person across from me received her huge portion of their delicious french fries, my willpower gave out and I enjoyed far more of them than I should have! The fries are like upscale McDonald's fries so as you can imagine, they are very addictive! Everyone commented on how well prepared their dinners were! We got the best seat. Nice view! Waitstaff are very nice Manager was nice ass well So here is the problem. We ordered stake medium. It came out close to well done. We ordered lamb shank it came out cold in the middle near the bone. I wanted to like this place, but first experience was not that good. Mac and cheese took too long to come out I might give it a second try since it has a great view and nice bar. All in all. It is nice restaurant, but the food is too salty. A fantastic dinner last night (Saturday, 6/12). Celebrating my birthday and 36 weeks pregnant so likely our last night out for awhile and it was a great one! We had dinner outdoors and it as a beautiful view and perfect weather. Freddie was our server and suggested a delicious watermelon "mocktail" for me when I told him I was expecting and would love something non-alcoholic. The mocktail was so good! Hubby loved his doli on the rocks. We started with the fried calamari. The paprika aioli was plate-licking worthy lol Loved the mixture of tentacles and rings, also loved how they fried the hot peppers too. For entrees, I had the scallops, hubby had the sirloin steak. Both excellent and generous serving sizes. I was too stuffed for dessert but Freddie surprised me with a birthday creme brûlée, how could I resist? We also appreciated that the manager checked in with us a couple of times to see how everything was (and it was great to see him helping out and running food to tables). Great location on the water at Richmond Square. We had reservations on a bustling Saturday evening. We arrived earlier than expected but were seated right away. Our server, Kat, was personable, attentive and helped with our pairing selections. There's an extensive beer, wine and signature cocktail menu. We tried Point Judith calamari and tender pork rib appetizer. Both were amazing. For entrees we ordered grilled pork chop, salmon and linguini and clams. The portions are generous and food cooked to perfection. The scenic views of Seekonk River and Henderson Bridge added to the experience. There's plenty of on site, well lit parking too. This is a go-to restaurant for occasions in our family. I have never had a bad meal here and the service is always impeccable. Favorites include the mezze platter appetizer, their burgers, scallops and salmon. For brunch the lox plate is spectacular, as are the omelets. Extensive drink list and a kids menu as well. If you can sit outside you get a nice view of the river. I have also hosted an event in their downstairs event space and the catering staff was easy to work with and the food/service was perfect (events can be for up to about 60 people). Highly suggest a reservation because getting a table as a walk in is pretty difficult. Easy parking as well. read more
