Let me start by saying, the line took forever to get to the menu and order. Once I got there nobody greeted me on the intercom for about 3 minutes. I ordered my food, 2 combos and a kids meal. When I got home I discovered one of the meals was totally wrong. I ordered a baconator combo (large) and received a spicy chicken combo (small). The girl on cash register who I believe was named Bella was very friendly and helped me select what was best by answering my questions. I've been out of circulation due to a recent hip replacement and needed out of the house and wanted to try Domenico's Italian in Long Beach, but dummy me, it was Father's Day! So unfettered and in desperate need of a restroom we wheeled up Bellflower Blvd and whipped into the lot and off to facilities. As long as we were there opted to eat and ordered two Dave's, one single and one double and one order of fries with two iced teas. The service was okay but the place needed an overhaul, kinda dingy. One redeeming feature was the JetBlue jets roaring right over the roof heading into Long Beach Airport. I doubt we'll be back as there is no reason for us to be in this area, save maybe the VA Hospital someday. read more

Ick! Stopped here for a salad late one night after the gym and the restaurant was atrocious! So dirty, cups, napkins, and utensils thrown all over, carpet needed to be vacuumed, yet there were several employees behind the counter just standing around chit chatting. I don't expect the drive thru employee nor the employee preparing the food to be out and about cleaning the dining area; however, the cashier up front (although friendly) could have easily gone to pick up the trash in the dining area, sweep, vacuum, etc.. This one goes out to all the ladies named Wendy -- all across this land of ours...you just don't know what you do to me. Wendy's. I am confident enough to state the following about Wendy's: This place makes McDonald's look like a 5-star restaurant. From the ground up, back to the kitchen, around to the bathroom and through the miserable cashier -- Wendy's is just plain sad. We stopped by on the way to Paso Robles (True, this location is not the same one I am referring to in this review, but I have also been to this LB location and it was just as heinous) and we could not wait to munch on something, at the very least, DECENT. My bf loves Wendy's. I am not sure what he loves about it because everything is pretty rank. I thought I was going the safe route with chicken nuggets and fries. What a disgrace. These were NOT chicken nuggets. They were shit-cken nuggets. And what kind of condiments come in the color pink? Sweet and sour -- with a very fluorescent pink hue. Gross gross GA-ross. As you can read from other reviews, this location is a problem child. The last time I was there, a cook employee was stopping a cashier from taking orders because he had to clock out. No, not in the way that he did it quickly, in the way that he blocked her from the register, made mention that he was effing up the line, and generally being a person who should have been fired on the spot. I called in to "management" only for them to him-haw about lame excuses. There are no excuses for an employee being abusive to a co-worker or a line of customers. I was also there on a night where another group of employees were plotting on how they would rob the Wendy's I was sitting at. :::raising eyebrow::: Wonder if they got robbed anytime after that? As for the food, I've always gone with the grilled chicken sandwich and I'm not happy with the limp fries. Wendy's was better when Dave was still around and had a vested interest in their reputation and image. Without him, they hit "meh" in a hurry. My friends came w me to help move some things, we got hungry so I went on a food run for four people while three of my friends came w me. Fast food is fast food! Food quality is generally identical so let's talk about the services here! I've previously came during the day and went inside to order, but I mostly come here late night since it's one of the very few places open pretty late! In terms of customer service, I've had no problem and really...nothing spectacularly out of the ordinary. One thing that IS bothersome is the drive-thru. The entrance starts on the west side of Bellflower and there's no way to turn into Wendy's unless you're going southbound. You could also drive in from Stearns, but depending on which way you're coming from, you may have to cross a double yellow. Regardless, once you drive in, since the drive-thru starts on the other side, you have to utilize the parking spaces. If no one is parked there, great! Just make a huge turn into the line! Otherwise, you kinda have to drive in the space, back up, and drive into the line! read more

This is a decent Wendy's location. It's sometimes busy because it's the only one in Long Beach and near CSULB, and the parking lot is horrible. However I've never had any problems with my order and the food is always hot and fresh. If you haven't tried their new "hot and juicy" burgers, I'd recommend them--with their sea salt fries. read more

Ugh! My experiences here are always a disaster but this is the only convenient location to me so I have returned a few times. The last was it though! The service is always extra slow motion which drives me nuts but then to get my order wrong 3 times...well that's just ridiculous! I ordered a burger...it was wrong. I just started working at CSULB, which has terrible selection of food for a large university. When possible I get my lunch before coming to campus or eat a late lunch on my way home. Wendy's is a pretty good choice. It's fast, cheap, but there are some tasty and even slightly healthy options. I like their garden salad and grilled chicken wrap with no sauce. I also love their natural sea salt fries. They are worth the calories. The people are very nice here too! read more

Looking back (to twenty minutes ago), it was probably a pretty obvious red flag that someone had apparently stolen the menu in the drive through and all that was left was a bunch of tiny led lights and a microphone. So it's on me that I didn't back out and go to a Jack in the Box. Ordered a chicken sandwich and two bacon cheeseburgers because I couldn't remember what else was on the menu because, you know, there was no menu. You know what else there wasn't? Lettuce. On any of the burgers. I would say the burgers were about on par with the ones in the cafeteria in third grade. Cold, flat, sad. When we told the guy at the drive through that the menu was gone, his response was "yeah"? Cool. So, pretty sure he already knew AND didn't give a shit. And neither did the other seven co-workers who appeared to ALL be standing in the drive-thru window. And I mean, just standing there. It was like watching through a subway window at rush hour. Just a bunch of people standing there staring. So, all in all, that was pretty much the worst food experience, and I say "food" generously, in a good long time. Well done brand new Wendy's! I was here for Ghost Pepper Fries which I thought look great on the TV commercial. So I ordered fries with a Jr bacon cheeseburger, a medium unsweetened iced tea and a Frosty. Then she asked me when do I want to have my Frosty; right now or afterwards. I was speechless for a moment, totally stunned by the question... well, literally NO ONE EVER asked me that!!!!! Although I eat pretty fast, my Frosty starts melting by the time I finish my meal. Actually that's an absolutely great option to have! I was really impressed by her suggestion. After I finished my sandwich and fries, I went to the cashier to pick up my Frosty. Britney asked me for a refill for my iced tea. She asked me if I need ice, and I said no. Then she said "Are you sure...? It's already warm by now." Wow, again. She knows what a customer needs and she knows what does she need to do. She also offered me a lid for Frosty. I thought this location was clean, the service was fast and friendly, and overall a good experience. My chicken tenders weren't super fresh out of the fryer but they were relatively so and I guess that's just my expectation when I go to a fast food restaurant at 3:30p on a weekday. Not the best Wendy's around, but still better than most other fast food joints in the area. The drive-thru has some access issues (prepare to flip a B in the parking lot). But this review is for their Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger in particular. Since my beloved Trader Joe's across the way no longer sells pretzel buns, this is a nice runner-up for a quick pretzel burger. Get it while you can, cuz I'm sure it won't be available forever. It's the same patty as the Hot n Juicy, with a few upgrades: bacon, honey mustard, cheddar cheese - and cheddar cheese sauce - on a pretzel bun. Add some tomato, lettuce, and red onion, and it rounds out nicely. I usually get the baked potato instead of fries for "health reasons" but don't fool yourself, this is a bacon cheese+cheese burger, with all that that implies. Definitely tasty though, and worth a try. So if you can't get to a gastropub/burger bar or find a pretzel burger otherwise, you could do a lot worse than Wendy's. read more

My boyfriend and I waited so many months for this Wendy's to open back up. We were so excited. We went the first time back went to eat inside and it was nothing special the food was very basic. The woman working inside was fighting with another who who did an online order that was all wrong. The customer was actually very nice and just wanted what she Initially ordered. Drove off and took a couple bites out of one of the burgers and found a hair as I was about to take a 3rd bite. I immediately went back with hair and burger in hand and spoke to the manager, who said we're sorry would you like another burger? Hell no, I want my money back and why aren't your cooks wearing hair nets?! She said they do wear them, however I pointed back at the cooks over the grill and said look, none of them are wearing hair nets. She brushed it off and returned my money with another sorry. Not the greatest drive through experience. I felt very rushed with my order. I ordered $25 worth of food.one of my items was missing I checked before I pulled away. The parking lot sucks. There always seems to be loud, unruly kids at this location (hint to parents: There's a burger king with a playground a mile north on Bellflower). I hate how they don't do refills and yet insist on filling up your drink with mostly ice, even after you ask them not to sometimes. Yet Wendy's needs to exist, because they have better sides than most fast food joints. The chili is usually really good. I like some of the salads. I remember the burgers being better than they are now. They are just OK, as are the chicken sandwiches. This particular location is nothing special, we just happen to go here quite a lot because it's nearby Target and the only Wendy's for miles.
