Worst burger joint ever!! I always like getting Whataburger when I pass through Phoenix I decided to try this location since it's closer to my job. I got a double bacon cheeseburger with avocado and fries and a strawberry shake the burger tasted absolutely horrible no flavor was completely cold felt like they stuck it in the microwave for 20 seconds and served it to me even the fries were cold I also got a large strawberry shake the shake taste real Tangy/sour. It all makes sense to me now why it was so quick for her to give me my order immediately after I paid. I am not one to write reviews on this yelp because usually I don't care but tonight was absolutely horrible and I have had some pretty bad meals in my past but this beats it by a mile. I don't frequent Whataburger but, this time I was starved for something quick and did not want to drive to McDonald's even though it's right next door. That's how hungry I was. I always feel like Whataburger is overpriced. At just a little over $10 for my avocado burger meal with a salted Carmel milkshake upgrade I can say I was satisfactorily surprised with the quality and quantity. I even had enough burger left over to take to my husband to try and he really liked it. The burger was cooked to perfection and loaded with an avocado spread to add just the right amount of flavor. I have to say I was so into my shake and fries I only ate half of my burger. I don't care for Carmel anything but, on this day it sounded right and I'm glad I tried it. Before I went to order I let the drive through tenant know that a white SUV had cut everybody in line. Went for a simple bbq chicken sandwich meal with a side order of medium fries. Pretty simple right? Not for this crew. Waited over 35+ minutes because the guy that they let cut didn't order until he got the the window. When he got to the front they had to make his meal while everybody else had to wait even longer. When I asked the manager why he let the White suv cut his sorry excuse was he had an online order. Trying to justify that since he has an online order he doesn't have to wait in line like everyone else? Seems pretty unfair. Even if he had an online order why wasn't it prepared already when he got to the front? ridiculous. You should have parking spots for online orders so this can be avoided in the future. I missed so many restaurants on my way to this Whataburger, plenty of other choices healthier and cheaper,,, well my fault hehehe I like their better quality meat they use. Ordered a green chile, well knowing what green chile taste like, after the first bite it was bland,,, I opened it up and found hardly any green chile on it. I ordered this before and I know how much green chile this sandwich had before many times,,,, It's extremely embarrassing for me to complain about food, so I walked up with my card and my sandwich open and said- if this amount of green chile looks right to you can I please buy some more :) Polite diplomatic way right! You would think they will say oh no let me add some more for you,,, they took my card and charged it lol Fine,,,, my green chile that I paid for separately came out it was also few pieces at the bottom of a mayo cup! Who doesn't like what a burger !! Always stop but when in town. I really enjoyed their burgers and the onion rings are always so good. I also enjoyed really liked that I ordered one to go with everything on the side to take home to my dad and they packaged it so well and literally everything was on the side. This morning I caught on to the money scam ring that this particular location has going on and it needs to come to a end. I don't recommend using this location but if you do then check your receipt and your food before you pull off. I placed a order for biscuit and gravy meal, taquito meal, and 2 sausage biscuits. When I pulled around they had me rung up to purchase 4 meals so I gave the store manager order again to make sure that I was charged accurately because I felt $27 for 2 meals and 2 biscuits wasn't right. Long story short, the manager called my order back out to me and we verbally agreed to what I ordered I asked for the receipt and felt that if they did that then they were being modest. As I started to drive off, I noticed that I was charged for 4 meals and 2 orders of biscuits and gravy. When I pulled back around to speak to the manager and to ask for the general managers number (which he refused to give to me), he came back out with the receipt of the correct order that I ordered and compared it to the receipt that he left me with. The manager acted like he cut me a deal by taking one of those meals off by adding the "police discount" (I'm not a police officer) but it still showed that I still got charged for 2 meals and 2 sides that I did not order plus I didn't get the tiquito that I ordered. The receipt that the manager brought out showed that I paid $16 for everything but I actually paid $27. I recommended that he needed to go back inside and get the ride receipt and the right amount that I paid for. At first he said "here, $20 should do it", the wording threw up a red flag so I was like "oh shit! You need to go get me the rest of my money, you know what you owe me". The manager hurried back inside and brought me back the $7 that he owed me. Besides charging a woolens for the things that they don't order, they are also using police discounts to pocket money. Demand a receipt before pulling off and check your bag, these employees are scamming people and that includes the manager read more

I grew up in Texas, we had a delightfully experience eating the Whataburger and their onion rings. Living in Vegas, there isn't anything here like it. So when I get a chance to get one of the burgers, I go for it. Today, even though it's morning, I want a burger and that's what I get. They grill the bun and it makes the burger. I avoid mustard, not on my burger! I love mayo and ketchup, with old fashion lettuce, tomato and pickle! This location is the nearest to work for a few colleague of mine; that being said, we tend to order out from here a couple time a month. Every single time we would visit, we would bring coupon which is clearly sent by their company and we are always frowned upon when using them. Especially the ladies in the white dress shirt, if you aren't please with the way your company advertise your franchise, then by all mean please voice your opinion to your employer and spare us customer your attitude each time we visit. To summarize this to the local customers, please avoid using coupons that are sent to you. Clearly each time you would use the coupons, it'll be deducted from the employees wage. read more

Went here for lunch but had to use the drive thru because all dinning rooms are closed in all the restaurants at this time and for good reason. The drive thru service was very fast which I was surprised since Whataburger cooks everything fresh and when you order it. They were very friendly at the window which I liked. To Whom it May Concern: I know Whataburger was sold a few years ago and is under new ownership. Ive been eating Whataburgers in Phoenix AZ for 30+ years. I've noticed one MAJOR change since the new ownership took over: The buns are different . They are dry and fall apart. Ive experienced this from EVERY location. Because of this, Whataburger is no longer my favorite fast food burger Changing the recipe for your buns at this stage of the game is ridiculous, I wish you'd go back to your original recipe or distributor. One of my favorite burger joints. The Honey BBQ chicken strip sandwich is my favorite thing on the menu. The chicken is crispy and delicious. And the Texas toast is perfect for keeping the chicken and everything together without falling apart easily. I would highly recommend to anyone. read more

This Whataburger represents well. We flew into Phoenix late in the evening and came through the drive thru after 9pm. Both of our meals were fresh, hot and just like we crave. Every chance I get we go to Whataburger since we don't have one in my city. This has been the friendliest I have ever been to. The cashier Maritza was a sweet girl who gave us a huge smile when we went up to the counter. She took our order and we sat down. When she brought us our food again she was very friendly. The food was hot and delicious as always. The fries were crisp and fresh. Halfway through our meal Maritza came back and asked us if we were ok, if we needed anything else. Will be back to this one when I visit Phoenix again. Open 24/7, thank goodness! When I start work before 6 am at the hospital next door, I stop by and grab a coffee. Sometimes, for those extra long days, I get a warm biscuit with honey, just to give me an added little pep, lol. Don't judge me ;) I did try their Taquito with Sausage & Cheese. It was actually good. Came here late on a Friday night. Ordered a patty melt with no onions and a chicken tender honey bbq sandwich for the goofball and I got a double meat whataburger with avocado. Total came out to around $18 and I was given a bag with three individual paper bags with three huge sandwiches. A friend and I stopped here today for lunch. I for some reason thought it was an odd choice, but he seems to go often and enjoys it. In fact the woman taking the order said to him, no drive through today? It would looks as though he is known in the whataburger world. The people working here are very friendly if not a little disconnected. I ordered a whataburger with cheese and onion rings and a small drink. I opted for the Hi-C. I do not like sloppy food and this burger would not have been if the bun had held up. But as it is onions lettuce and tomatoes are falling all over the place. The meat was dry and lacking an particular flavour. The onion rings were very generic and sort of soggy. I loved the Hi-C. You know you just never know if you will like something until you try it.
