Met my friend last night to catch up and was delighted to try the charcuterie board, so many components, so delicious and the martini was fantastic. It was very busy, but the service did not lack always a fantastic time.

So yum! My mom and I stopped here on a whim because I was craving a burger, and whew, I'm so glad we did! The food was delicious, with all kinds of special sauces and tasty flavors. And our waiter, Michael, was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and so pleasant. Excited to come back and try other menu items in the near future.

We come here all the time and I've never formally reviewed. We love to sit at the bar because Madison makes the best drinks. As a non-whiskey drinker, she has shocked me and made some amazing whiskey cocktails. Last night I had my repeat meal of the crispy chicken salad, but the star of the show was the NY Strip that my father in law had. I'm still thinking about that steak. We will be back and of course we'll ask for Madison at the bar :)

From the bankrupt ruins of Plano Tavern comes this place. Hated it at first but it's grown on me and now I love it ! Great menu - farm to table goodness - and on point staff!

My favorite place to get chicken & waffles. The chicken was crispy & not greasy at all. The waffles were soft & fluffy. I also tried the whisky cake & it was very sweet for me. I highly recommend getting a scoop of ice cream with it to make it a little less sweet.

We made a reservation on a weeknight around 5:30 pm and got seated in a few minutes. The restaurant was already pretty crowded by then, due to their happy hour from 3-6 pm. They have small plates and limited selection of cocktails for $7, which is not bad at all! We were able to get a few drinks before happy hour ended; our waitress was pretty good at reminding us about it. I got their great rum punch and my husband ordered their old fashioned. They also had a guava gimlet, which I will try next time! Drinks are 4/5 due to their inconsistency of their old fashioned. For appetizers, we ordered their brussels sprouts. They were pretty good, and had grapes, ricotta cheese (?), and pecans (?) in it. Tasted really good altogether. 5/5 For our main entree, I ordered their grilled shrimp rigatoni and my husband ordered their fish n chips. Both were great. I definitely will be ordering my rigatoni next time. It had the right amount of flavor and had a kick to it, but it wasn't spicy. The fish n chips were good; the fish was huge! 5/5 Overall, we will definitely be coming back and trying their whiskey cake dessert. We were way too full to get it this time around. Our total bill (without tip) came out to be ~$81.

    HH charcuterie and hummus

It's nice they were open on Christmas Eve and took reservations in advance. We overheard that the wait for no reservations were 3 hours as we were being escorted to our table! For a party of 15+, we expected there to be a wait for things. We were fortunate enough to still participate in their daily happy hour during M-F from 3-6 pm. The HH charcuterie was sad but the spinach dip and hummus plates were decent. They forgot 1-2 HH drinks and charged us full price for some that were ordered. They even forgot one of the kids milk drink and another kids meal while everyone was eating. My medium steak turned into rare, it was very under cooked and chewy I couldn't finish it. The highlights were the Candied Bacon appetizer, featuring thick-cut bacon glazed with a bourbon-infused toffee sauce, and their famous namesake Warm Whiskey Cake dessert. We ordered 2 with ice cream for 15 of us and it was just the right amount.

Grabbed some friends and decided to try out brunch. I called ahead and asked about wait times to which I was told it wasn't bad but she went ahead and took my information. When we arrived I was beyond happy that we had done that as there were people everywhere. We were served by Chris and he was extremely helpful, describing dishes, making suggestions and even making accommodations - I don't drink grapefruit juice but wanted the mimosa flight. I ordered the fried green tomatoes, and either I was really hungry and the mimosas were getting to me or these were some of the best fried green 'maters I've ever had. My friends ordered the brussels sprouts and enjoyed them so much that one got an order to go. The pancakes I ordered were okay. I hate to say, nothing to write home about, but you got plenty but they were pancakes. Simple. They said something about lemon strawberry butter or something but I didn't taste that and the strawberries didn't taste like anything. My girlfriends on the other hand both enjoyed their meals. We were told we should get the whiskey cake but we had no room left for it which basically means, try it next time, as we will be back!

First of all, these were some of the best Brussel sprouts I have ever had. The Whiskey Cake restaurant's signature appetizer is their Fire Roasted Brussels Sprouts, which features Boursin cheese and grapes as key ingredients, along with a hot honey vinaigrette, spiced pepitas, and parmesan. Whoever had the idea to put this all together, I hope they got an award for it. The mimosa flight was colorful but not sweet enough for me. It's a lot of alcohol for a lightweight and might need to be shared. My eggs were scrambled hard to perfection. My breakfast was good. Our server was Chris. He was very helpful and very attentive. Everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered.

I would definitely say this has been one of the top culinary experiences in my Dallas adventures. Save room for dessert. We went here for a work event 20+ people full menu ordering- they didn't even blink an eye. Apps - not a bad choice The wood fired snap peas were the winner of the apps that combo was unexpected but a wonderfully executed dish. The spinach artichoke dip was well balanced (so yummy-close second) and those crackers were the star! The brussels were flavor packed and not greasy. The lobster bombs were good, the sauce was clean and superb. I kept it to dip my main courses in. A co worker and I split the chicken melt delicious it needed some sauce (tag in the dipping sauce from the bombs)! I-got the roasted veggie side it was a great pairing. Also the Fish and chips. The fry game is not why you would go to this restaurant. We will omit the description. That fish tho... so good and the tartar sauce well thought out. The true star was the whiskey cake I mean what a way to show off by only having one dessert and absolutely understanding the assignment. Standing ovation. Beautiful bar and decor, fast service and friendly attentive staff.

    Cheers

Whiskey Cake is one of those rare practically perfect restaurants for me. The rustic setting is appealing and comforting. The service is consistently excellent. The wide array of fantastic whiskeys are detrimental only in that you may find yourself indecisive, but if you know what you're looking for you're pretty certain to find it there. And the food! The food is crafted and cooked beautifully and deliciously every single time. There is not a single thing I have tasted at WC that hasn't made me go "damn!" And no visit to WC is complete without eating the actual whiskey cake itself. It's perfection. Pure perfection. Thank God I don't live down the block from here or I would just be eating cake every single day and growing rounder by the minute.

The selection is thoughtfully curated, with robust flavors and quality ingredients. I ordered the Wood Grilled Shrimp, a House Salad with added Salmon, a glass of Moscato, and a slice of Cheesecake for dessert. My entire ticket was under $80 which I thought was a great value for the quality and experience! And I have to give a special shoutout to my waiter, CJ! He was such a delight and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and the flavors. One thing I've noticed at many restaurants is that the waitstaff sometimes doesn't seem to actually eat where they work , so I really appreciate when a server can genuinely speak on the food and make recommendations with confidence. I'll definitely be visiting again! Great food, great service, and a beautiful ambiance.

We fully understood that we were early and were told that we had been checked in and that our table would be ready closer to our reservation time. We had absolutely no issue with that. While waiting, we found an area near the bar and ordered appetizers and drinks, spending close to $300 before we were ever seated for dinner. At approximately 8:20 p.m., after our reservation time had passed and we had received no update, we approached the host stand to make sure they knew we were still waiting. We were told that they were waiting for seats to become available and that we would be seated soon. At 8:30 p.m., we were still waiting. When we approached the host stand again, the response was noticeably less courteous. We were told that they could not ask people to leave their tables and that we would be seated when they could accommodate us. At some point during this exchange, we were also told that once we were eventually seated, they would provide us with complimentary appetizers. I want to be very clear: this was never about receiving free food or having something taken off our bill. We had already spent close to $300 on drinks and appetizers while waiting. I neither wanted nor needed complimentary appetizers. What I wanted was for our reservation to be honored within a reasonable amount of time--or, at the very least, for someone to communicate honestly with us, acknowledge the problem, and treat our family with respect. Offering free appetizers did nothing to address the actual issue. By approximately 8:35 p.m.--20 minutes after our reservation time and nearly 50 minutes after we initially checked in--it was apparent that there was no urgency to seat us and, more importantly, no meaningful communication about when we could expect to be seated. At that point, General Manager Landry became involved. Unfortunately, rather than attempting to de-escalate the situation or offer any reasonable solution, his attitude made an already frustrating situation substantially worse. When I reminded him that we had an 8:15 reservation and asked when we could realistically expect to be seated, he again told us that we would be seated when they could seat us. I explained that our party included a pregnant mother-to-be who had not eaten and was beginning to feel unwell, as well as a young child. There was no apparent concern or effort to accommodate the situation. When I pressed him for a more specific timeframe, Landry responded that "it's just a reservation." That statement was astonishing to me. A reservation is a commitment made between a restaurant and its customer. I certainly understand that restaurants run behind and that unexpected circumstances occur. What I do not understand is a General Manager dismissing a customer's reservation as though it carries no significance whatsoever. I asked Landry what Sixty Vines' policy would be if I had arrived 30 minutes late for my reservation. Instead of addressing the obvious point behind the question, he accused me of being "aggressive" and informed me that, if he wanted to, he could simply ask our party to leave. That response was completely inappropriate. Rather than acknowledging that his restaurant had failed to honor our reservation, apologizing for the delay, or attempting to find a solution, the General Manager chose to threaten to remove a family that had been patiently waiting and had already spent nearly $300 at the restaurant. A few minutes later, Landry walked past our group and visibly shook his head at us. It was dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely unbecoming of someone entrusted with managing a restaurant and representing the Sixty Vines brand. Ironically, the person who demonstrated the most professionalism and empathy that evening was the young server who had been taking care of us near the bar. She observed what was happening, approached us on her own, apologized for the situation, and asked whether there was anything she could do to help. Her response stood in stark contrast to that of the General Manager. By this point, we had closed our tab. The pregnant member of our party had become so unwell while we waited that she actually vomited. We informed Landry of what had happened, and again there appeared to be little concern. His primary focus remained his assertion that we had "yelled" at him. To be clear, customers who have waited well beyond their reservation time, received virtually no meaningful communication, and then been told by the General Manager that "it's just a reservation" are understandably going to become frustrated. A capable General Manager should know how to manage that frustration professionally rather than escalating the situation and threatening to remove the customers. Ultimately, we left without ever having the birthday dinner.

Things didn't go as smoothly as I hoped for her first visit, but management apologized and tried to make up for it. I appreciated the effort on their part and opportunity to give my feedback. I'm thinking it was an off day as the shrimp pasta was extremely salty on this visit. Food: My Reuben egg rolls were a delightful and delectable bite. One of my favorite appetizers. The Russian/Thousand Island dressing is so good. (4 STARS for the appetizer only) Pasta the presentation was great. However, today someone in the kitchen was heavy handed on the seasoning and it was super salty. The taste was not good. Seeing that I have had it multiple times I won't criticize it as much and chalk it up as a one off. Drinks: The Frosé is so refreshing. It's a cold slushie perfect for a warm summer day. When we checked their reviews online, it didn't look too promising, but the menu sounded amazing so we decided to come back the next day and try the food. I am so glad that we did! Every single thing we ordered was absolutely amazing. We were able to order the bucket of fried chicken for $20 off of the happy hour menu which was four boneless, skinless breaded fried chicken thighs and they came out hot and perfect! They were so good. We also ordered one Baja fish taco and we regretted not ordering more because they were really good. We also ordered the lobster Bucatini, which was an amazing flavor, but honestly a bit disappointing on the portion size, it could have come with a bit more pasta and sauce, and a piece of bread would've been nice for the sauce. We ended our meal with the crème brûlée cheesecake which I was kind of scared to order because I really love crème brûlée but I'm not a super fan of cheesecake but Earl's did it 10 out of 10 perfect! Hands-down, one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. For the drinks, I ordered an old-fashioned and my husband ordered a Moscow mule. Both of our drinks were great, we were very impressed and will definitely be back next time. We are in Plano. Dining tip: in order to take advantage of the happy hour, whether it be for lunch or dinner, you do have to sit in the bar, lounge, and I believe the outdoor patio counts as well. Your basic dining area does not give you access to the happy hour pricing.

It was also yummy.

My husband ordered a poke bowl which he said tasted ok but there wasn't much in the way of fish, and my filet on my salad wasn't medium as requested; however the biggest issue was that my daughter was served a raw ground beef patty for loco moco, not medium or rare, but raw. You could smell raw ground beef. We struggled getting waitstaff's attention for quite awhile and both my husband and I made eye contact with the manager in the blue shirt wearing a headset. He looked our way, sent some one else in a tan shirt and walked away from the main dining room inside. We explained that the patty was raw. His response was dismissive with an explanation that it was always cooked medium, carried the plate away, even though I explained that it wasn't "medium". We waited a long time for a replacement. The replacement was delivered by someone from the kitchen and it was done, but was served with fresh white rice rather than fried rice and was missing the avocado requested. We had to wave someone once again to request avocado. Our waitress eventually returned, apologized, and gave us an appetizer comp card. Our bill showed the loco moco removed for "flavor" and then re-added to the bill. There are other better restaurant choices in the area, so I'd recommend skipping this one.

It was missing the potatoes which were on the gluten-free menu, but I forgot to ask about it afterwards. They also have gluten-free desserts. All of their desserts are served in sort of shot glasses. Instead of a menu, they bring out food models or all of the desserts. There are 3 that are gluten free: the key lime pie, raspberry chocolate chips cannoli, and turtle cheesecake. The key lime pie has actual gluten free crust-like layers, and the turtle cheesecake has something similar. For the raspberry chocolate chip cannoli, to be gluten-free, they remove the actual cannoli shell that's on top, but you get all the filling. That was my favorite one (I tried all 3 GF options). The server was also really sweet, kind, and attentive. It's nice inside. Pretty loud in the main area, but there is another area sort of tucked away that is quieter if you need that. They also have a great wine list and some cocktails. Would definitely go back!

Our table ordered the Chilean sea bass, rotisserie chicken, corn, and Brussels sprouts. Everything was delicious! I thought the sea bass was exceptionally soft and flaky. However the chicken was pretty standard. The corn and Brussels sprouts were also nothing to write home about. The service was fantastic and the desserts are great. I love the presentation of them and how you have 8 options for the little dessert cups of various flavor profiles. Overall, I give it a 4 because it is an elevated dining experience, but sometimes the entrees miss the mark for me.

The biscuits are soft and buttery, the ingredients are cohesive, and the execution of everything was 10/10. I tried the hot honey biscuit, the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and the fully loaded style tots. The sausage egg and cheese biscuit really stood out to me, it's a perfect breakfast biscuit. They had a bunch of different 'styled' tater tots and they were really good. The restaurant wasn't very well cleaned after the brunch rush, but someone came over pretty quickly to clean a table for us after walking to a few different spots and not finding something clean enough to want to sit down.
