Super cute small coffee shop in Tustin. My husband and I came here over the weekend to try out a new place and we were so happy with our drinks. First time being here and I love the cute artisan vibe the cafe portrays. Had some outside seating and inside could probably seat no more than 4 people with outside seating roughly 6 people. So definitely a small place but drinks are made quick to order. The cashier rep was dipper friendly and helpful with their menu. I came here on a whim while I was looking for a place to work and grab coffee while waiting for my dog's dental cleaning procedure nearby. Caveat: Don't come here to study or work. It's just a super small shop with VERY limited seating. I just happened to get very very lucky. It's more of a stop and go type of coffee shop. I ordered the blueberry hojicha - one of their summer limited drinks. I am a huge fan of hojicha and really loved the roasted, nutty flavor that you can taste from the drink. The blueberry was incredibly subtle and actually blends quite well with the drink. It doesn't distort it, which I actually thought it might. After 3 mins of drinking, it already tastes watered down and experienced loss of flavor - which was pretty disappointing considering this cup was $7. I also asked for light ice which I didn't get. Pretty solid coffee shop - they have unique blends and flavors which I love to experiment with and appreciate coffee shops that offer more than their normal drip/espresso/latte flavored coffees. Each staff member that I've encountered has taken time to answer questions, give recommendations, and just chat with their customers. When possible, it's nice to grab a seat indoors, or just outdoors at one of their tables along the sidewalk, to enjoy your coffee. The gentleman who had helped me (didn't catch his name), but was very sweet, & kind enough to tell me the difference between these two drink items I was undecided about. I ended up getting his recommendation, which was called Love On The Weekend. According to the menu description, it has "rich vanilla, earthy honey, and cinnamon with espresso and milk." You can adjust to milk alternatives. I'm not sensitive to dairy, so I went with whole milk. Every sip tasted EXACTLY as described in the menu. I did get it iced, but you can get it hot too. Iced is my preferred choice. Top tier service. I did tip the man for his kindness and patience. My mother ended getting a regular hot coffee. I didn't hear exactly what she ordered but she enjoyed her beverage. The establishment is very clean and bright. It's giving peace atmosphere. It is somewhat a small place, so tables inside and outside are limited. But regardless, there are benches around this area so you can walk with it and sit at a nearby bench. After being in Tustin for 3 months and trying all the independently owned coffee shops I can say with confidence this is the best one. Naty compared it similarly to flan, but softer, balanced by the coffee's bitterness. It had a honey, cinnamon, and vanilla taste. We also ordered an iced Apple Bottom Beans with oat milk. This drink was once a fall seasonal drink, but because it became popular, they brought it back as a permanent drink. It was a delicious drink, like apple pie. It had a sweet, comforting apple cold foam on top that made the coffee sweeter and delicious. We see why this drink was asked to come back! White Sparrow's pastries are from Nonna's.
