    1 lb. Beef Brisket

Very disappointed! I moved from Dallas 5yrs ago. I haven't had decent brisket since. I came home to visit specifically to get brisket. From Winners and a few other places. Winners is 'under new ownership' as I was told. Remember when Joe Pesci said they f*@k you at the drive thru? Well it's worse online. I picked up my order, didn't look at it. Big mistake. I put it in the fridge to pack the next day. When I opened the container . I didn't even recognize what it was. Being in the fridge solidified the fat. A pound of brisket for $25. Half was fat! This order had to be chopped so I can put in a baked potato. Make sure you check your order! Evidently the 'new ownership' don't care what they're selling people. Gross!!

Huge portions for your buck but damn if the bbq I got wasn't tough! The sauce was not my cup of tea but oh well. The customer service was amazing and very welcoming. No disrespect to this establishment but, ya get what ya pay for and being one of the cheaper places around it is what it is.

    The whole kit and kabootle.

We dashed their special meal. The ribs were fall off the bone and tasted great. The brisket was soft and juicy just like you want. Slathered in their bbq sauce was heavenly. The sides were average but the potato salad was great. All in all, pretty damn good.

    Interesting choice of decorations

If you can get to Winners when it's open, go try it! We shared a GOAT potato (5 meat topped baked potato) and that thing was ridiculous . The container weighed close to 3lbs and you couldn't see the baked potato because there was so much meat. Two of us enjoyed the potato and meat for lunch but had enough to share for dinner. The ribs were a little dry but the flavor was solid. All the other meats were well cooked and seasoned just right. The BBQ sauce was good enough to take home. Although the hours are a little wonky, it was a winner in my book. If I'm over in East Plano around lunch time, it's a place I would frequent. The location is in a strip center and you could easily miss it if you don't know what you're looking for! The inside has a classic BBQ takeover appearance complete with Texas accents and tin roof decor...I'm guessing it was a tiki hut before transforming into Winners BBQ. As we were leaving, another patron said "I wish I could bottle the smell and wear it as a cologne".

I have been going to this place for over 5 years and I never get enough of it! They have great portions and it's enough food to eat for a few days! The people are always so nice and accommodating and they always have the best music!

Tried a different BBQ place by the house today. Winners BBQ. Cute place walking in. I bet they used to have a buffet line but all the food is in the back. Available offerings - menu on the wall. Brisket, hot links, jalepeno sausage, chicken, ribs, (no ham, no turkey) potato salad, slaw, macncheese. Not hickory smoked. Peach wood. Hubby liked the flavor and it was ok for me. I opted for: sliced beef, hot link sausage, potato salad, Mac n cheese. Brisket, sliced. Sauce separate. A little chewy. But good flavor. Not overly seasoned. I'd like a little more fat for moisture. Sausage, hot link. Decent. I'm missing my polish sausage. Missing the pop of the skin. Good meat texture. A little spicy. But good. Potato salad. Overall decent. A tad sweet. I prefer more mustard. Man n cheese. Creamy. A bit too much liquid. But tasty. Sauce- very red. Ketchuppy. Really sweet. No vinegar presence. Think KC Masterpiece... Overall. 3 knives. Mac PS Brisket Sausage Sauce Price $28.99

I'm not in this area of Dallas often, but I will make it a point to come back. I forgot to mention my cocktail! I had the Honey Bourbon Limoncello and boy was it good. The only two things I remembered from this place was that the food was salty, my husband also commented that on his food--and he likes salt! Second, with my daughter and her many food allergies, we decided to go with plain chicken wings. They mentioned the seasoning was just salt and pepper. My daughter mentioned it being spicy so I tasted it and yes there was seasoning other than salt and pepper. I was very annoyed because she's allergic to gluten and some seasonings contain gluten. I notified the waiter and assumed we were getting a new order. BIG NOPE! What they did was RINSE the chicken and reheated it. How do I know this? Prior to sending it back, I cut a flat of the chicken wings in half for my daughter. When we got the "new" wings, the cut up flat was still on the plate. I was so shocked. Never seen that in a restaurant. At this point, we were all pretty much done with our meals and a storm was brewing so we just wanted to get out of there. I will not come back.

There was plenty of seating at the restaurant with long tables, sit down tables, and outdoor seating. After choosing our table we waited 15 minutes before our waitresses showed up. They were very busy with the lunch rush so it took awhile between everything. It even took awhile to get our waters. One waitress was in training and learning from the other. The positive was that the waitresses were friendly throughout. After looking at the menu and waiting another 15 minutes we finally placed our order. We got our appetizer after waiting another 15 minutes. Thankfully that held us over until we got our burgers and fries. We started with tostada chips and queso. It was good and we ate it up pretty quickly. We requested another basket of chips to finish off the queso. To eat with our burgers we ordered hand punched fries and sweet potato fries. The hand cut fries were nice and thick and you could taste the salt. I enjoyed eating them with ketchup. The sweet potato fries were also thick and salty and you could taste the flavor of the potato. No need for ketchup with these fries unless you want it. For my burger I ordered the HL Hunt cooked medium which comes with white cheese, bacon, blackberry compote and mustard. The burger was filling, the cheese was melted but it had little flavor, and the bacon was chewy. The compote was my favorite part of the burger as it added a slightly sweet flavor. I requested a medium cooked burger but it didn't taste that way but it was still good despite that. Overall Rodeo Goat has lots of seating and friendly staff but I would go at an off peak time so that you don't have to wait a long time for everything. The food was still good despite the wait.

There is a certain energy in a restaurant when people trust it, and Creekside has that. We started with the crab and shrimp dip, which came out hot, creamy, and loaded with flavor. It is one of those appetizers that everyone at the table keeps going back to without even thinking about it. For dinner, we ordered the Red Snapper Alexander and the chicken cutlet parmesan, and this is where the night really took off. The red snapper was cooked perfectly, topped with sautéed shrimp in a white wine sauce that added flavor without overwhelming the fish. The balance was impressive, and the presentation matched what you would expect from a much higher priced restaurant. Then there was the chicken parmesan. As Italians, we do not say this lightly, but this dish stood out in a big way. Creekside blends Alfredo and marinara into a creamy, well-balanced sauce that takes a classic and elevates it. The chicken was lightly breaded, the mozzarella was fresh, and every bite delivered. We awarded this dish our Best of the Best for Chicken Parmesan, and that is something we reserve for dishes that truly separate themselves from the rest. Service was excellent throughout the night. Our server Erin was attentive, knowledgeable, and helped guide us to some great choices. One small note, the fish and chips did not quite match the level we had experienced on a previous visit. It was still good, just not at the same level we had come to expect. That said, it did not take away from what was otherwise a fantastic meal. If you are looking for a place that delivers an upscale feel without the upscale price tag, this is it. Great for date nights, family dinners, or just a night out where you want consistently good food.

We had the deviled eggs and lump crab cakes to start, and both were SO good. Prices were great too. Our waitress, Staci (or Stacy), was AMAZING. Sweet, funny, great at banter, and incredibly attentive. Even when she was busy, she never made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. When she was at our table, we had her full attention, she checked on us the perfect amount, and we never had to ask for anything twice. She was on top of her game! My only complaint was a really awkward interaction at the end. I wanted to ask Staci two simple questions: whether they carried an olive gin I'd had in Europe (they didn't, but I haven't found it anywhere) and whether I could buy a roll of quarters because we were going to play pool. Somehow this turned into 5-6 staff members gathering around, plus this random blonde lady in a white T-shirt and jeans joining the conversation. Aside from Staci and the blonde lady, no one else even acknowledged me. They just stood there looking at me. It was weird. It felt like a lot of unnecessary attention over two simple questions and made me pretty uncomfortable. Having another customer involved was honestly the weirdest part. It was disappointing because we'd had such a great experience up until then. I went from thinking, "I need to bring my friends here!" to leaving feeling pretty unwelcome. Food: delicious. Atmosphere: beautiful. Prices: great. Staci: WONDERFUL. I just wish the interaction at the end had matched the rest of the experience. I changed my rating from two stars to four stars because I didn't feel like one bad interaction was worth two stars and I was a little flustered when I originally wrote my review.
