I had quite an unplanned of a visit to this spot earlier today as I happened to be in the area yet feeling lazy to prepare my own breakfast plate today. I am a huge fan of the wrap concept be it in the style of a burrito or gyro, so I did not hesitate the tiniest bit to give them and one of their menu items a try. I had the Island Teriyaki Salmon wrap, which tasted quite good, although if I were the chef myself, I would personally substitute at least half of that rice they included in the wrap by default with lettuce!.. I mean, having additional carbs inside an already carbed body, be that a flatbread or tortilla, makes it a little too EW to enjoy, you know!! Regardless, the salmon was well cooked to a decent temperature, and its juiciness as well as the flavor of the teriyaki sauce twisting with the fish was harmoniously pleasant to my taste buds, both amounts-wise and taste(s)-wise. I would rate my whole experience as 4 stars because quite honestly, it immediately felt like I was served a Kid's Menu size of a portion when the waitress brought my order to the table. It is quite disappointing for the price they demand; I mean, it would make sense if they added a little bit more of salmon inside the wrap ideally by reducing the amount of rice in it; however it's absolutely a pricy treat for such a tiny wrap; that looks like a cute little plastic toy food for a toddler to kill their time with; given to them as two identical parts of a whole, in some sort of a "Honey! I've eaten there three times now, and I thought it was just a one-time flaw that their wraps were too messy to be eaten as a wrap. But no, second and third times were the same. Waited to write this review because I wanted to try them a few more times to get a more reliable perceptive. I have been going to these guys for several years now because of how consistently good and quick they are with their food, but when I started using them for catered orders is when I saw the true value of their operations. I've ordered several times for my offices without any hiccups and timing or quality of food. I ordered a bowl and asked for one slight adjustment. When it came out, it didn't have all the ingredients specified on the menu, so I brought this up to the cashier at the counter. I just wanted one missing item added in. He thought that I had asked for it to be removed and I know for a FACT I didn't (he clearly misheard me). But that's not the problem. He then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that he made the mistake because I was the one that told him the wrong thing. WHAT!? What person in the service industry would stay something like that? It's not even a big deal. And overall he came off super unpleasant and cold, even before this happened. So disappointed about the menu changes. Why change something that's good and make it not good? The ingredients also now taste off, not just the bland seasoning (chicken...). The new World Fries are good as a side order, but they don't work in the wrap (along with the other changes that ruined this great item). We'll not be back after too many tries. It was definitely not the same as my first experience with the Korean BBQ beef. We had our lunch here today and we ordered a tex mex quesadilla with shrimp and chicken and I must say, we haven't tasted a quesadilla with such an explosion of flavour. We also got the Barcelona paella which was excellent as well, it was so refreshing with all the veggies included in it. The food was packed with amazing flavours. I actually have ordered from here a bunch of times and loved it. But today my order for my family came completely raw. I ordered a kids salmon for my toddler, salmon wrap for myself and salmon bowl for my partner. I ordered DoorDash and they credited me for the order, but when I called the store to let them know the manager didn't even apologize and told me that they lowered the temperature to cook the salmon and even if it's a little pink it's still ok. I tried to explain that it's not and she just said thanks for letting me know. What a disappointment. Not sure that I'll even feel comfortable eating here again. This was completely unacceptable. Especially for a kids meal. Who wants to serve any potentially raw food to their child. read more
