Saw this cute shop inside of the Santa Anita mall and thought we would try it. It's supposed be really popular we heard. Ordering was easy. They are cashless so keep that in mind. I got my general order which is a jasmine tea with cheese foam. Since I have never had them before, I thought I would try everything just as standard on how they would make it. My drink was way too sweet to the point where I couldn't even sip on it. I did try to dilute it when I got home but it was still way too sweet. I got the plum lemon green tea with boba and my husband got the orange grapefruit green tea with boba. The plum one was way too sweet, I had gotten it at 70% so next time, 50% or less would be better. However, the flavor just didn't taste that great to me. I like the orange grapefruit one better as my husband got it at 30% sweet. It was a bit tart from the grapefruit. But I like how they used fresh squeezed juices for the drink. A reliable place to grab your milk tea fix! My throat needed a little soothe so I opted for a warm earl grey milk tea option. I was pleasantly surprised because I had forgot how big their cups were & it applied to their warm drinks as well hehe. But the earl grey flavor was prominent and balanced well with my drink. I got 30% sugar and it was perfect because I prefer less sweet drinks & to taste the tea more. My go-tos are the iced Grass Jelly Milk Tea or Jasmine Milk Tea. Going to add Earl Grey to my rotation now (: Boyfriend loves the standard milk tea as well, w/ 30% sugar. Since they are generous w their topping, when we do order boba, we ask for "less boba" b/c the ratio otherwise would be 50/50 of boba to milk which is too much boba for our liking. However, if you are a fan of toppings their standard is to add more than the average boba place. Service is quick & efficient. I can tell the workers are working hard, hustling during rush hours of the weekend. I first tried Wushiland when visiting Vancouver and was so happy to find out there was a couple in the LA area. Their milk teas "taste like Taiwan" as some would say, and I agree! I've tried the classic black milk tea and green milk tea recently. The roasted oolong milk tea is also good. Usually I go for 30% sugar and less ice, but when getting the brown sugar drinks, the 30% is too sweet for me. So not sure what to do there when I want that brown sugar flavor...the next level down is 0% sugar lol. Perhaps I'll try just asking if they can do 15%. Service here is good--friendly and efficient staff. Location is very convenient, accessible within the mall and right inside a mall entrance. The closest entrance is between the Macy's and the IKEA Planning Studio. Lots of covered and uncovered parking, but it's especially busy on the weekend (since it's a mall). We had to park pretty far away on the Macy's side. The ideal covered parking right in front of the entrance was packed, and we circled a few times and gave up. Wushuland boba is located inside the Santa Anita mall in Arcadia. It was busy when I went and it looks like it gets busy during peak dining hours. The boba itself is on the pricy side but they have the essentials if you are craving boba. I had their new tester item black tea with mango ice cream. Due to the special it was 3.99 which was a good deal but the rest of their boba is around $7. There was a long wait for the boba which was surprising. Luckily there was some seating inside that I could wait at while waiting for my drinks. They were decorated for Halloween which was a nice touch and the inside was clean. SERVICE The service is pretty good and my drink comes out in a timely manner. Even with the amount of customers, they do a good job at pushing out drinks. However, I have been to this location several and one thing I have noticed is that one of the cashiers has eyed me not one but three times while I am just trying to get a drink. Since my last review, someone from Wushiland commented on my review. I provided some feedback to the email, but did not get any response. I figured that they were providing the feedback back to the team. That being said, against my better judgement, I decided to give Wushiland another try a few days ago since I was at the mall. It was Friday and there were 2 workers and a few customers. The workers were so slow taking orders. There was 1 party ahead of me and 1 worker was taking order and the other worker kind of just stood there and did not do anything. I actually waited about 10 minutes and finally they took my order. My order was pretty simple. Green tea with boba, so I figured it would come out fairly quickly. I waited in the waiting area and I thought I saw my order come up but the worker never called out the order and I even made eye contact multiple times. I just figured it was someone else's order. Then, the person who was behind me got their order, so I knew that the order that was sitting there was mine. I went over and it was my order. That was incredibly weird. The store is super small and the worker knew what my order was, so I was not sure why they didn't just tell me that my order was out. It actually sat there for a good 5 minutes. I would be more understanding if it was busy, but the worker just stood there and stared at our orders. What a weird experience. I have decided I cannot come back here. There are a few boba places in the mall, not sure why I am subjecting myself to this location. Their boba this was way undercooked and tea was overbrewed. Highly recommend ordering online first before coming here because there's usually a line out front. When I placed my order online it estimated my order to take about 15 minutes, and when I went up to the counter around then, my order was ready, so the estimate was pretty accurate. Even though I got 30% sugar, I feel like the drink was still pretty sweet, so I could have gotten no sugar and probably would have been fine. I really liked the tea though and the boba were all consistent in the chewiness. Trying out a new boba spot at the Arcadia Mall. The line was shorter than usual as it was earlier in the day. The place seemed very clean and fairly new, they have a little lounge area to wait for your drinks. The wait was not very long. The only improvement or suggestion I would include is that you cannot really hear the numbers getting called as it is a little loud inside and the people talking too. The oolong milk tea that I got was tasty, I added the coconut jelly. My daughter got the Ice Cream Oolong Milk Tea and my wife tried the Black Milk Tea with mini boba. They stated their drinks were tasty and loved the Pearl mini boba. I passed by it twice while shopping at the mall and both times there was a huge line (like more than 20 people in line) so when I passed by it the third time I'm like ok girl you need to try and see what this place is about. So I waited in line for 10 mins and another 10 mins to get our drinks. Not too bad I guess I ordered an milk tea with ice cream and boba for my son and I got a grapefruit teas with mini boba. The cashier was friendly and fast. I tried the Green Milk Tea ($5.49 + $0.75 for boba) with regular ice and 70% sugar. The price was inexpensive considering the enormous 25 oz cup with boba filled up to the halfway mark. While the pearls had brown sugar flavor, they might have been old. I tasted almost a corn-like flavor from the starch. The pearls were chewy, but softer than my preference. I couldn't taste much of the tea flavor. My friend got the Brown Sugar Tea Latte at full sweetness. I couldn't taste anything other than brown sugar. I think the latte series is just made with fresh milk rather than creamer. read more
