Overall, this spot definitely satisfied the sushi craving. The restaurant itself was clean, had a huge sushi bar, and tons of TVs if that's your vibe. It does get pretty loud inside, which personally isn't my favorite atmosphere, but I can see why others would enjoy the energy. The sushi itself was good, not the best I've ever had, but still enjoyable and fresh enough that I'd come back if I was in the area. My biggest pet peeve was that some of the rolls kept falling apart, although honestly that could've partially been a me problem too. Either way, solid spot when the sushi craving hits. i love sushi and i love mariscos, so i was excited to try this restaurant! i remember years ago, when it was very popular but i never got to it as i live on the other side of the valley!unfortunately, i was a bit underwhelmed by everything we got. the sushi rolls were a little mushy from the rice--flavor was good though. aguachiles were also pretty good. the drinks were not good at all, so we didn't end up finishing them. on top of that, the customer service was subpar. besides that, i do like the ambiance of the restaurant. i like the tvs around the bar area playing music videos. probably won't be visiting again but glad i tried it! read more

Came here to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of 7. We asked to sit outside. The hostess was really nice and accommodating. It did take a very long while to get our drink orders in, but once they did, they came pretty quickly. Apparently, they have 1 person in charge of getting drinks and another person taking food orders. Not sure how efficient that is, but whatever. Our food order took over 45 minutes to arrive. When I go to sushi restaurants, they typically provide ginger and wasabi or they ask at the time or order. They didn't do either at this restaurant. When we requested some, they brought a tiny ball of wasabi. Mind you we ordered like 8 rolls. We had to keep asking for some. Kind of annoying. I'm glad we sat outside, because it was so loud inside. I can't imagine trying to have a comfortable conversation with someone inside the restaurant. Food was ok. The crazy boy was my favorite. Overall, our service was ok. Food was also ok. Sitting was fast but unfortunately the server took forever to get our order and to get refills on our drinks we had to ask the buzzer to get us some refills and plates for our table. Xevichez is a really solid sushi place, I've been coming here for the last couple years, since I got together with my now fiancée, since she is from the valley side. If you are around the area, and are craving some sushi I would highly recommend these rolls Shrimp Tempura, Lobster Rolls, Tiger Rolls, this isn't Sushi but highly recommend The Udon Stir fry noodles. Came here just for drinks since we had already eaten elsewhere, and it was worth it. I hadn't been to this location in about 8 years, and honestly, my last experience at the Valencia location left me pretty disappointed (the micheladas just weren't it). But this visit completely redeemed everything. The micheladas were exactly how I remembered them...perfectly balanced, refreshing, and full of flavor. Our server, Grandpapa G was the cherry on top. His energy was absolutely AMAZING...so welcoming, fun, and genuine. You can immediately tell why the whole staff loves him. 2nd time this has happened to my order. I ordered for pick up ramen shrimp stir fry. I specifically asked for RAMEN noodles not undo noodles. & a yellow tail sashimi salad. $49.85 was my total. They asked to give them 30 minutes for pick up. Fine. Coming from Sunland I made it about 35 minutes for pick up. After waiting about 5 minutes for the cashier to cash out her tips and make her a priority. She then took my $50 and I stopped to make sure they added my pink sauce on the side (which wasn't there) however all so it was the wrong order. She explained to that' she submitted the order right. The kitchen couldn't get it right. Lame excuse. This is the second time and last for me that this has happened at this spot. The manager tried nothing to do to make it right. He brushed it off as a normal thing in this establishment. He handed me over my $50 and I walked out. SO HEADS UP. CHECK YOUR FOOD WHEN ORDERING OUT. How this restaurant doesn't have a five star average behooves me! I live in the west valley and this is always my goto sushi spot, I call it Mexican Sushi or Sushi with a little spice. lol. First thing I order is the Shishito peppers omg, then the lobster rolls, sex on the beach rolls and more. I've gone here so many times lost count. And everyone I take here can't believe how good it is! Service is fine. If I had a complaint it would be that they play the music really load but that might have changed cause last time I went a few weeks ago it was not loud at all. What we ordered didn't have the same quality taste it used to and for some reason it had a funny taste to it. We only received service once and that's when our order was taken, after that not once did we got asked if we wanted a refill or if everything was ok. This place was rocking! It was "bu-sy" the night before Thanksgiving making the Mexican restaurant in the corner of this shopping complex look like a ghost town. This was a Mexican twist on sushi. The customer service here is horrible. HOWEVER the manager Luis did his best to accommodate this mishaps that took place. Our food took over 1 hour to arrive basically & once the food arrived there was a hair in it . Luis was calm and understanding of the entire time. We definitely appreciate him. Wait staff can use a little work. As one of the girls answering the phone hung up on me and the production of the food was extremely slow. I have to start by saying I have had better sushi from gas stations and the Vallarta pre-packaged sushi section, than from this place. The Spicy Garlic edamame is the absolute worst thing on their menu Its literally edamame in like a Mexican salsa and doused in the same lemon juice that the eloteros at the park put in the churritos they sale. Oh and its not the bomb mexican salsa your mom or abuela makes. its that type of terrible bitter salsa that your chismosa annoying ass tia makes that no one ever eats. Like what in the world even is that. There is no excuse for this. That is like selling a pepperoni pizza, but serving a pizza with ham and pineapple and when you ask why there is pineapple and ham on your pepperoni pizza, they say "this is how we do pepperoni pizza here" How dare you even call this Spicy Garlic Edamame My salmon handroll was dry and had bones in it.....
