In the Square food court and been going here for years! Super fresh and most things are $10. The chef is really good and his food has really good "wok hay"= wok fire!

Located in a food court, this place was pretty good. I tried out the pork & preserved egg porridge and it was definitely one of the best porridges I've had. They throw in some sesame oil on top which really gives it a nice slight nutty flavor. Super hot and soothing for the soul. Also got the beef and wonton noodle soup and it was pretty good as well. The beef was tender and wontons filling were juicy. Pretty standard bowl of soup but delicious. The prices here are certainly reasonable and on the lower end but it is cash only.

The soup base lacked a little flavor otherwise was delicious. The bell pepper with beef noodles was incredibly flavored, and the perfect mix of textures.

Damn near perfect wonton noodle soup. Six large wonton with big pieces of bouncy shrimp and smooth pork filling, big pieces of Chinese broccoli, and egg noodles not overcooked. Not too salty and not oily. Haven't tried their other items but I think they would be solid based on the wonton soup.

finally i have been calling since 7.7.2024 today i m here n ordered the wet seafood stir fried rice noodle. total $11 CASH. the taste is okay i can taste little of work rice noodle flavored (鑊味 ) i think if they stir fry the noodle a little longer (with fire on) like golden rice noodle n add a little dark soy sauce in it to make the appearance better also i don't think they should charge $0.25 for a pack of soy sauce. i dont think i will order from them. i think ZHOU restaurant next to it or golden ox restaurant are better

The preserved egg and pork porridge was amazing! Love the flavor and the brisket beef wonton noodles was good, but could be better.

If you're looking for some cheap and quick eats, come to this place. You can find rice or egg noodle soup, fried noodle or rice to eat. Food ranges between $4-$6. A number will be given to you after ordering so they can call it out loud when food is ready. Cash only, however, there is an ATM in the plaza. I came here with my relatives, we had three people in our party and we ordered 2 bowls of beef tendon / wonton noodle soup and a fish ball rice noodle soup , plus a stir fried soy sauce egg noodle and the total was less than $20. The price is worth what you're paying, the portion servings are HUGE. Has a parking lot, avoid parking when it's lunch time because it's madness. Try street parking

Options! It is always good to have many. If you cannot find a dish you like here, there is bound to be something you will within footsteps at adjacent restaurants. It is hard to fathom not finding a dish you would like here, however, with 137 items on its menu: consisting of lo mein, fried noodles, soup noodles, porridges, soup, rice dishes, fried rice, popular Chinese dishes and appetizers. Located in the Square Market food court in Rosemead. There are a handful of Chinese noodle houses to choose from. Perhaps the most popular spot to eat, judging by the longer lines and wait time to get your order. What they do right: all dishes are made-to-order, plentiful and cheap! I notice prices are generally at least a dollar less than other noodle houses that prepare many of the same dishes. Certainly, this gets noticed and contributes to its popularity. The Beef Brisket Noodle Soup ($4), Beef Chow Fun with Soy Sauce ($5.75) and Chicken Chow Mein with Crispy Noodle in Black Bean Sauce in Gravy ($5.75) are all good choices but the beef chow fun was easily the best of the three. The noodles were fresh and bouncy, the beef slices were well sauteed: good flavor, not too sweet or heavy with sauce. From my perspective, there are better Chinese noodle houses but few can match their prices. A good choice if you are looking for some variety, a "penny pincher" or just on a tight budget. CASH ONLY. There is an ATM machine, however, located in the food court.

***The Fast and the Furious Crispy Noodle!*** Fast, Furious, Hot and Cheap ($4.90 Lunch/Dinner)! Located in the food court, the Yelp Monocle found this spot for us. No English sign. Imagine a couple of white dudes walking around pointing their phone at the shops while searching for something in a completely Asian mall. We did get looks. We were the tourists. Finally, one smile and it was dead center where the Monocle guided us to.. Xi Guan Noodle House. Friendly smiles, kind advice, and $4.90 later and the food came out Fast and Furious. This steaming hot and extra crispy noodle with yummy sauce, your choice of meat and veggies was unbelievable in quality and quantity! I am a fan! If you do not know what the Yelp Monocle is.. You must find out!

No store sign...in English. That's ok! Food is not in English either.
    Robert P.

Xi Guan is a powerful little kitchen, and pretty cheap, which a working man can appreciate. There's no store sign in English, but that's ok, the food is not English either. Ha! For me, few things are better than having Chinese food surrounded by Chinese, or Indian food surrounded by Indians, and so on. For cheap AND huge portions, try Hi Pie Shau May down the road. No shame in that, it's just that Xi Guan is a bit higher quality and more modest portions. Nice big menu too! Has been on my Bookmark list ever since it earned 5 stars from some illustrious Yelpers. If you can get past everyone playing bumper cars in the parking lot--what is it with the drivers at this shopping center?, Xi Guan is more than worth repeat visits to go down the menu.

It's been a while since I came to this food court that Xi Guan Noodle House is located at. It feels nostalgic coming back after years have passed. This still is a popular spot for locals to grab a cheap quick bite and also seniors to chill and meet up with their friends. The number of food stalls here haven't changed over the years, and certain dishes are priced just like the old days. I came wanting to try Tasty Food's Hainan Chicken, but they were sold out until dinner time. We decided to order from Xi Guan since it has pictures for this soy sauce stir fried rice rolls special and we just wanted classic comforting Cantonese food. We placed an order for the rice rolls and porridge (total cost around $11) and was told it would take 45 minutes. The wait was manageable since the food court is adjacent to a supermarket. We killed time there and came back to piping hot food. For the price, the food was satisfying. The porridge had pieces of fish and squid that were tender and fresh, and the rice rolls were flavorful without being overly greasy. The price and portion more than justify the longer wait.

Beef stew chow mein. $5.50 is as cheap as it gets!!

Whoa whoa! I don't care if this is a food court! These are dirt cheap prices!! I was in the area for lunch so I dropped by the food court in this shopping center. I geared towards this place thanks to Yelp. I did take 3 - 4 minutes of starring at this place up and down to make sure this was the one. The place does not have an English sign. Food: Now I've had food in this food court before. I like allof the vendors except Har Lam Kee because their food has a weird after taste to it. The food at Xi Guan Noodle House is exceptionally good. I can't remember the last time I was so impressed with a pan fried noodle. They must use a basket of some sort because the noodle was fried in a perfect round shape. I order beef stew pan fried noodles which had a few bok choys in there. Noodles fried perfect. Beef stew was delicious! Service: I didn't come to the food court for amazing service. To my surprise I connected with the chef because he speaks my father's dialect (something you don't see too often in the 626). Very friendly guy. The gal who took my money on the other hand gave me a few eye rolls for no reason and was on the phone the whole time. Environment: You're sitting out in the food court area. People are walking and starring at what you're eating. Not the most comfortable place but for the price who can complain? Price: $5.50 for a freshly cooked dish. $5.50....$5.50! $2.95 for chicken porridge with the fried donut things. WOW..... Food: 5 Service: 4 Environment: 3 Price: 5

They opened and closed the door for us which was a nice touch because it was busy inside. We ordered the pork ramen, pork buns, and pork soup dumplings. On to the food! Pork Ramen: 3/5 They give you a hefty amount of noodles and pork. They use a thin noodle here which pairs well with the broth. I truly do believe this was around average for ramen as the flavor in the broth was not as strong or savory. The highlight of the entire entree was definitely the pork, which was tender and flavorful. I probably would not order this again. Pork bun: 5/5 The pork buns were soft and fluffy, almost too good looking to eat. There was the right amount of soup and meat inside that made for a wonderful bite full of flavor. Not dry at all. Would recommend ordering this if you visit. Pork Dumplings: 5/5 The star of the show, the dumplings. They were soft and just like the buns, they had the right amount of soup + meat which made for a delicious bite every time. My toddler even ate some and she's usually super picky about meat. Overall, I'd definitely recommend coming here for the other noodles, the dumplings, and buns. You can skip on the ramen. I would 100% come back here to dine in. Quick note that parking gets full pretty quick here.

My sisters-in-law who live in the area highly recommended this spot when we were deciding on a Sunday dinner the night before we flew out. Among the four of us, we ordered: - Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - Biang Biang Noodles: least numbing of the noodle dishes we ordered. If you LOVE carbs and not a lot of sauce, this one's for you! - Dandan noodles: this thin noodle dish is slightly more numbing than the Biang Biang noodles, but still bearable and tasty. - Chongqing Special Noodles: most numbing of the three! I had to pause eating this a few times as it was getting a little uncomfy! The noodles are side but thinner than the Biang Biang noodles. I liked that we ordered noodle dishes each with different noodle types, flavors, and spice levels. The Biang Biang noodles were respite from the Chongqing Special Noodles, while the Dandan noodles had the right amount of peanut flavor and "mala." We arrived 45 minutes before closing on a Sunday night (it was a holiday the next day though). We were surprised that there was still a line of people wait in for seats close to closing time! I liked the crunchy texture of the bread for the Chinese burger. It's on the spicier side. The braised beef noodle soup and sautéed vegetables were my favorite. The xiao long bao wasn't soupy but the dipping sauce they give is very good. Staff is very nice. There are quite a few tables for indoor seating.

Not a fan of bean sprouts but will eat if I need to, but in this case - it totally overwhelmed the dish. There also wasn't enough rice noodle for me. Everything else was good, but that kinda blew it for me. Also got the spicy soup with beef and tomatoes. This is more of a gentle burn in spice they slowly works its way up. It's good if you like spice. Restaurant wasn't too busy when we arrived but got a good amount of customers by the time we were leaving. Workers are friendly. Not sure if I'd be back though. The portion rice is very generous, I can never finish and would end up taking leftovers. Parking: they have a lot next to the restaurant, I never had an issue with finding a spot. The only downside is they don't have their AC on during the summer. I remember one time I was sweating while eating and it was very uncomfortable.
