It was as comfortable as eating at home. The sushi chef, Steve, was endearing, funny, hospitable and very welcoming. The wait staff was attentive and never let the water (or Sake) go low. Our server, Emily (sp), was amazing! She was always there to fill water, clear plates or flirt with my 1 year old grandson. This has been my favorite sushi spot for years, the family that owned and operated it, June and Young, did such a wonderful job and the food was one of a kind in the best way. I'm so sad to have come in last night and see that the original owners have retired. A lot has changed and unfortunately though still good it's not the stand out place it used to be. The food though decent was different in a way that felt very generic. My favorite was the truffle salmon sashimi, something June had recommended to me on my first visit 5 years ago and a big part of the reason I kept coming back, but it seems the new owners have changed it a bit and it's nothing special now. Don't fix what isn't broken, makes me sad to see someone new come in and change what made this place a stand out. If they were smart they would have the old owners come in and do a training day on how things use to be made. Im so happy for you, June and Young, I'm sure you're enjoying retirement. but I'm so sad for my loss as the customer. I don't know what these other people are ordering but take the reviews with a grain of salt. I saw the reviews and a post on Instagram about this and thought it must be somewhat good. The fish is not good quality, chewy and fishy. The ginger is also hot. We ordered some kind of salmon dish with blue crab underneath and truffle oil. Do not get it because it looked like white play dough underneath a piece of not fresh salmon doused in a bottle of truffle oil. I ate one piece of that and immediately asked for the check. Go if you like very mediocre sushi but if you have any sort of middle to high standard do not come here. read more

We have passed this place by a few times but finally decided to go. I thought the restaurant was very cute inside, everything was very clean. The service was great. It's obviously family owned and it had a very friendly environment. My husband ordered a chef special that came with miso soup. When our waiter brought my husband's miso soup he came back and brought one for me on the house which was very kind. Service was incredible, our waitress was a sweetheart who took the time to help us decide which rolls we'd enjoy based on what we like. My favorite had to be the Honma Roll with fresh wasabi on top, which was the perfect nose-burning kick we craved.
